The reason for this article is to determine if the worship/veneration given to Mary by the catholic church is justified from a Biblical perspective. This will be evaluated using the Biblical standard and not mans standard.

In fact we had Him for sixteen centuries before you even knew who He was.How long were your seven, error filled, CATHOLIC churches in Asia around before they fell into ruins?

>>The Church does not follow uncritically the Old testament prohibitions.<<
LOL How about they follow the New Testament prohibitions?
Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood,
John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.

“Yet Luke did not write mother of Christ which would be mother of Messiah but mother of my Lord.”
If you wish to understand the text, you must look at the context and understand that “Lord” was used to refer to Messiah. This is Who Mary was informed she would carry and why she was blessed.
Clearly, Mary was not Mother of Yahweh - the other option for “Lord.”

>>I realize that this isn't what the Bible is pointing out but nevertheless, there's blood there<<
That's a nice attempt to nit pick what God says. If you think He didn't know what was left after bleeding an animal out you may need to take it up with Him. Explain to Him also how the apostles messed it up by saying don't eat blood even after Jesus supposedly told them to eat it.

Your joy about being a Christian needs work. I see miserable angry people coming after others for their beliefs rather than focusing on your own walk with the Lord.

I think it’s that the first “no one is saved outside the church” was infallible but later when they said that anybody can be saved it must have been more “infallibler”.

I was initially referring to your statement “
More proof that Catholics DO NOT READ THE BIBLE” That is your opinion.
Regarding the Biblical passage, I have no dispute with that message.
However, we must both realize that individual interpretation made by individuals can be false or misleading as God gave us free will to accept or reject His teaching. So the Holy Spirit can instruct our conscience, but man has his biases and is able to chose how he leads his life as moral by God's teachings or by his own interpretation.
My personal opinion is that most people need the assistance of the Catholic Church to fully understand God's Word and to achieve salvation. But even then, some do not fully accept or practice Christ's teachings.

Thanks for your reply. You must have a sixth sense about seeing such things.

>>you can't convince me that our God is hateful<<
Of course He's not hateful. He's a loving God who would have all men be saved. He is also a just God and has given stern warning about what happens when going against His wishes. Being a just God is not hateful.
>>nor that He wishes us to hate our bretheren!<<
We don't hate our brethren. We hate what they do and we hate how they deceive others into error.

They've got their winter coats on, and staying toasty warm inside them.
The two boys (brothers) have more of a hairy coat, with soft underfur; While Gracie looks like a fat, little bear cub, with a coat that resembles store bought fleece, 2" thick.
Here's what it looks like when it is shed in the spring...

Here have a hissy fit on me! Mary! Mary ! Mary! BOOOOOOO! A prayer means you are praying. If you and I were friends and I was sick in the hospital, I would say "hey defconw please pray for me." Then you would probably say "got your back buddy."
But I would not say a prayer to you to say a prayer for me. The prayers to Mary are not just 'request' forms they are praise for her. They are appealing to attributes of her some Biblical most not; to a perceived special position never given to her by Christ nor the apostles.
