The reason for this article is to determine if the worship/veneration given to Mary by the catholic church is justified from a Biblical perspective. This will be evaluated using the Biblical standard and not mans standard.
It sure does seem we do a great deal of the research....doesn't it?
Ever been thru boot camp?
Them boys (and girls; now) get DESTROYED!!!
And then re-built in the image of the Corp.
Excellent!
>>I cant BEGIN to list those FReepers who have educated me and those who have schooled me<<
You would not be one of those people.
But if you pay close attention, you can learn from me.
While I have been recovering from my surgery, the Good Lord thought I needed a severe UTI to go along with it. This has knocked me for a loop. All I want to do is sit in my recliner with my iPad. I have Christmas music on the tv and really appreciating this time of the year. I do not even have my tree and other decorations up. After I fainted the other day I am afraid to do that. All I need is a picture of me under the tree, out cold. What a Christmas memory that would be. Jesus is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas everyone and may your New Year be a happy, blessed one. God bless.
Then you are Scottish, yes?
I 'refuse' a lot of things.
Ever wonder WHY?
I've read your stuff.
You have a lot of opinions about things.
I'm ready for the meat at any time.
(No; I'm NOT trying to get friendly with you.)
Ouch!
Are you living alone?
Skittish; too...
I’ve got lots of ideas, but no, I don’t wonder.
Yep. One of my daughters died in 04 and my husband died in 06. My grandchildren live about a mile or so from me and my daughter lives about 15 miles away. That fainting episode was very, very odd. I felt like I was about to faint so I started to get on the floor. When I came too I wondered why in the world was I on the dining room floor with my head nearly under the table. Then it dawned on me what had happened. I think it was from my anti-nausea medicine. My family is use to my little life chapters!
So, you are the only one with rational thoughts? Wow.
The Catholic Church has that Pharisee thing pretty much sown up in it's beliefs, customs, and rules.
Her being at the foot of the Cross has nothing to do with the post, but she WASN’T wearing the crown of thorns that our Lord, King, and Savior did. Only our Savior could wear those thorns as it was his Blood and Broken Body that purchased us back from the curse of the original sin. As noted in Genesis Man’s sin caused the cursing of the ground which caused thorns and thistles. He wore the crown because the Romans mocked him as King (his only charge), but it was no accident that it was made of thorns. As sin entered through one Man Adam it was taken away by one Man Jesus Christ. Your posted pic absolutely proves the OP’s point that Catholics worship false idols to include Mary.

Well since you are no one else answered the question I’ll do it. Catholics want Jesus to be submissive to Mary! Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and submissive to no man or woman. He was, is, and will always be perfect, she was a sinner and Scripture proves it.
Isaiah 64:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 All of us have become like one who is unclean,
and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags;
we all shrivel up like a leaf,
and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
Romans 3:23 New International Version (NIV)
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
