Animosity? No way. Why do Catholics always attribute some sort of ill will to those who disagree? The only reason I can think of is because that's how they feel about others so they attribute those same feelings.
Actually I feel a deep sense of sadness for those who have been indoctrinated into the cult of Catholicism. I watch as the Catholic Church moves to join together with all other world religions and realize that the prophecy of a one world religion is being formed right before our eyes. Those who cling to that organization will rue the day. I submit you are not your own best judge. You can ask your Catholic friends what they think, and therein lies the rub. In any case we all have our cross to bear and Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
The word "pagan" is not in the holy scriptures. For one Gentile to call other Gentiles' religious faith and practice "Gentile" is odd and redundant. I find Catholics are much closer to Jews than many Protestants, and some/many Catholics, realize.

I agree with your statement with one caveat:
The RCC leadership is much closer to the organized Judaism leaders at the time of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection from the dead than are some/many groups of believers in Lord Jesus Christ.

I think the readers well understand when the term "pagan beliefs and practices" is used. The beliefs and practices of Pagans/Gentiles prior to conversion is well documented in scripture and secular writings. So your attempt to obfuscate is rather weak.
