I was born a Catholic and born again a Christian. Not interested in Catholicism’s hang up with denominations.

Thanks ... in getting through all the muck to bring out the truth in so many areas! Praise God, yet God will expose what is much in us also:
But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. (Ephesians 5:13)

Every time 2 protestants fight, a new denomination is created.
A priest, a nun and a lawyer were in a plane, when suddenly the pilot comes on the intercom and states that the plane is going to crash.
The nun says, "oh the poor children".
The lawyer said, "oh, screw the children".
And the priest said, "is there time?".

We do know from the NT Jesus Christ addresses 7 churches through the apostle John (Revelation 1-3). So why not one revelation to John for One church? Better yet why not reveal to John to write a letter to the bishop of Rome to deliver the message to all bishops under him? It certainly is contrary to the Roman model. And Peter is entirely absent - even the need for submission to him as supreme head or commendation for so doing, as it is in all church epistles.

I always find it funny when FRomans accuse us of ignorance on Catholic doctrine, and then it turns out that we have done more research into the laws of their church then they have done themselves. In many issue that evidently is the case.

And to you too Syncro. Lately, I have come to see that I have been all too completely wrong about you in times past. I guess Resettozero is quite a fitting name:) Good to hear from you.

Oy!!! Lot's of Freepers here subject to excommunication it would seem. But which has changed, as excommunication by Rome in some centuries can be changed to obedience in another.

Only one "Church" I know of who claims "apostolic succession" and for certain they are liars. I didn't think you would admit it however. I thought you just asserted/concurred in your post 148 re : post 145 re: post 3, that 2 people constitute a church and are equal to the original Jewish Apostles. Did you mean something else ?
I thought its view captured the essence of the Protestant/Protester problem. Streams of next generation Protestants (not those that hold to original Protestant churches) continually try to reform the original church with themselves the designated human authorities. They tend to interpret everything the LORD said to the Apostles as if it were to themselves. They recognize no other authority but their own to determine when and where the Holy Spirit is speaking and can justify just about anything they do in their own minds until cornered, ala Jimmy Swaggart. Even then, they cannot bear to leave the ministry.
No one can authoritatively tell them what to do. If they don't like a church they pick another. Eventually they can start their own church to correct all the problems they identified in the rest. Now they have the perfect church model, ala Mars Church group.
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough

>>We furthermore forbid any lay person to engage in dispute, either private or public, concerning the Catholic Faith. Whosoever shall act contrary to this decree, let him be bound in the fetters of excommunication. Pope Alexander IV (1254-1261) in Sextus Decretalium,<<

>>"Do not converse with heretics even for the sake of defending the faith, for fear lest their words instil their poison in your mind". Bl. Isaias Boner of Krakow (Polish, Augustinian priest, theologian, professor of Scripture, d. 1471)<< I'm gonna bookmark this so every time a FRoman Catholic starts to engage in disputes concerning Catholicism, I can point them to the "rules" and how they are excommunicating themselves (Latae sententiae). That'll shut 'em up, right??!! ;o)

I’ll wait to see if any FR Catholics denounce this woman.
If they don’t; I guess that would mean they agree with what she has written.

“You can’t go to a single even remotely religious thread without seeing it turn into a Catholic versus Protestant fight”
That’s because protestants have had an inferiority complex for the last 500 years.

Prove it? At least provide some objective evidence:)meh. The OP is an unmitigated screed....
Moreover, and the point I was getting on about, is the chest-beating crow that the Roman church was established by Yeshua, and holds direct and singular authority: Such a claim is too often allowed to fester without calling them on it - And one can be assured, they have no proof, can provide no validation, and cannot even manufacture such proof (though they did try) - The claim has no basis in fact whatsoever.
Those in glass houses should not throw stones.

Nope. Never, ever had an inferiority thought. I am a Christian through believing Jesus and His Word. Never met anyone who did. Wistful thinking on your part.

Thats because protestants have had an inferiority complex for the last 500 years.Hahahahahaaaaaa! Any brother or sister in Christ can boast of a SUPERIORITY complex, unlike the Romists who can only hope to survive their imaginary Purgatory. Paul wrote much to the Roman Church (not to be confused with the Roman CATHOLIC cult!)
Romans 5: 5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from Gods wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were Gods enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
