Why would intelligent, successful people give up their careers, alienate their friends, and cause havoc in their families...to become Catholic? Indeed, why would anyone become Catholic?
As an evangelist and author who recently threw my own life into some turmoil by deciding to enter the Catholic Church, I've faced this question a lot lately. That is one reason I decided to make this documentary; it's part of my attempt to try to explain to those closest to me why I would do such a crazy thing.
Convinced isn't just about me, though. The film is built around interviews with some of the most articulate and compelling Catholic converts in our culture today, including Scott Hahn, Francis Beckwith, Taylor Marshall, Holly Ordway, Abby Johnson, Jeff Cavins, Devin Rose, Matthew Leonard, Mark Regnerus, Jason Stellman, John Bergsma, Christian Smith, Kevin Vost, David Currie, Richard Cole, and Kenneth Howell. It also contains special appearances by experts in the field of conversion such as Patrick Madrid and Donald Asci.
Ultimately, this is a story about finding truth, beauty, and fulfillment in an unexpected place, and then sacrificing to grab on to it. I think it will entertain and inspire you, and perhaps even give you a fresh perspective on an old faith.

How do Protestants determine the canon of Scripture infallibly?I would imagine that ANYONE who wishes, can go back to the oldest EVIDENCE that humankind has access to, and re-open the case!

Ah, still posting this verse, wrested from its rightful context of the LOCAL church arbitrating between two believers involved in a dispute. As such, it doesn't say anything about tradition. It will be interesting what today will bring concerning this tactic.
Will it be similar to cherry picking?
Will it be justified in some other way?
Stay tuned...

Why is support of the Jews not a significant part of RCC Holy Tradition? Especially in light of these FACTS found in Scripture:
Acts 10:27-29
27 While talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people. 28 He said to them: You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean. 29 So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. May I ask why you sent for me?
Galatians 2:6-8
6 As for those who were held in high esteemwhatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritismthey added nothing to my message. 7 On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles just as Peter had been to the Jews. 8 For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.

Where does the Bible say that this miracle can only happen once?Ah...
The mindset of most all of the extraneous Catolic practices:
It could happen!

In fact, the fact that there are no relics of Mary is evidence of her bodily assumption into heaven.
This is the most incredible lack of logic I've seen all week!

Does ANYONE know the definition of
SHOW/NEEDED?Other Tradition(s) regarding teachings necessary for salvation are the Seven Sacraments, most of which the Catholic Church posits as normative for salvation.
SHOW the data!

In the Bible, the Holy Spirit has inspired many texts which plainly exhort us to pray for other people (including numerous quotations of Jesus Christ), so God definitely wants humans to pray for one another, even though God always already fully knows every single situation that every person is ever in at all times, and God already knows every single word that will be said in every single prayer ever prayed.GOD has NOT said that DEAD Humans should be prayed to.
And Mary is surely dead.
The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects. James 5:16b
Surely this is true.
It does not, however, indicate TO WHOM these prayers are directed.
If I 'pray' to my dead Gramma for help; it will do absolutely NO good.
Likewise any prayers TO Mary.

I'm aware that I'll probably never convince you that Mary is dead; and I can tell you that you'll not convince me that she is alive.
I can only pray (to GOD) that your extra belief in this matter will not affect your relationship with him.
You can pray (to Mary) that my lack of respect for your chosen religion's teachings about her will not affect my relationship with GOD.

LOL! I suppose anything can become unbiblical once the non-inspired deem it necessary to remove sections of the Word in order for it to comport with their novel inventions of doctrine. TeeHee! I suppose anything can become REQUIRED once the non-biblical deem it necessary to ADD sections TO the Word's plain teachings in order for it to comport with their novel inventions of doctrine.

To better phrase my question: CER-tainly (!) you dont think the Church is subordinate to the State in matters of faith and morals?Well; the Mormons sure tucked tail in the 1800's in order to become a state.

If protestants would embrace 1 Timothy 4:4 and cease their iconoclastic ways they might eventually understand. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
HUH?

You have rightly pointed out some complexities of the Church vs State tension. (And by "some complexities" I mean "mountains of treatises and millennia of discord.")
The same Church that in Romans 13 was calling the State the minister of God's purposes, was calling it a demonic entity by Revelation 13. All of the Apostles but one was martyred; yet the Apostles and their successors never counseled sedition: they did not take up arms even to defend their families and congregations.

Until you demonstrate that, you have not answered the question.Last night, I saw upon the stair;
A little man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today;
Oh how I wish he'd go away.

What if Jesus appeared to you and said to repent from those practices and follow only Him; how would you respond? I would say, "Get away from me, Satan."
WOW!!!
