>>This is a generations old leftwing goal, you cannot deny who you are aligned with on this major portion of the left’s culture of death.<<

You can start your theocracy whenever you want.

Your use of strawmen arguments points to your inability to actually engage in intelligent discourse. Please note that “I disagree with you therefore you are an athiest/lefty/satan’ is not really an argument. It is a version of “nanynanybooboo.”

When you are ready to discuss this sans the same logical fallacies deployed by liberals we can then have a chat.

Until then, I wholesale reject your combination of ad hominem, strawmen, and Non sequitur fallacies.

I am a Conservative Christian who believes in maximum liberty. Not a theocratic fascist who believes in dominion.

Go ahead and explain to us where Christian couples should kill themselves in pairs to avoid natural deaths from old age.

Why should I explain why they should do what they are already going to do any way?

You even go farther than most of the leftists who are pushing your agenda, and have been for 50 years, you attack the non-leftists as wanting to create a “theocracy”.

You also claim to be promoting their agenda as a “conservative Christian”, so somehow you find this a Christian position.

You sound like the usual anti-God libertarian.

Your continued use of liberal logical fallacies leaves me no where to go but to say good night.

But I can see where your inability to understand what they are — and your application thereof — comes from.

Yeah, husbands and wives talking one another into killing themselves is wrong.

The left and their culture of death requires that we accept this and abortion, and euthanasia, and of course is pushing for after birth abortion, they know where it leads in terms of “efficiency” and state influence, and management of resources and government programs, and what they have in mind for the future, as more and more people succumb to this death culture acceptance.

None of which are present here.

You continue to add logical fallacies to your demonstrated inability to reason. You should have quit when you were behind.

Now I do say my final good night and God Bless you (you really need it).

May God open your eyes to the difference between liberty and fascism.

It is present here, as you adamantly badger people to accept this leftwing death agenda as libertarians always do, there is nothing new in your agenda, it is a foundational position of the international left.

Liberty to kill, why that’s no liberty at all - guess you don’t know near as much as you apparently believe you do, lol.

God save us from liberals who would deign to help us. They would never help us to live a more fulfilling life, but the would eagerly help us over a cliff.

“We are stewards, not owners, of the life God has entrusted to us. It is not ours to dispose of.”

As we are told in 1 Corinthians “You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.”

However, you may not impose that on another person.

As I said, the decision to end one’s life is between the individual and his/her God.

I raised Catholic and still believe that suicide is the one unforgivable sin.

But if Joe the Druid next door decides he is in too much pain to continue and wants to be One with Mother Gaea, it is not for me nor you to gainsay that, so long as no others are harmed in the effort.

Liberty to suicide is not liberty to kill. These constant straw men, ad hominem and Non sequiturs reflect badly on FR.

>>Well, I guess I’m not politically correct then.<<

I don’t want anyone to be politically correct. I want you to desire liberty and an individual’s choice of their personal destiny.

You may decry it — you may want to put a structure in place to ensure that this is truly a deeply thought our decision and not a whim driven by momentary issues — but in the end, it is maximum liberty to allow the individual and not you, I nor the Government to make the final decision.

Anything less is theological dictatorship.

Guys you know I have the greatest respect and admiration for you and still the The Church as cheriched sister.

But I cannot sanction imposition of Canon onto others. One embraces the Church and her teachings with eyes open wide.

Life is a gift from God and He does not want us to discard it.

But there is no analogy to other God-defined morality here. Abortion is killing of others. Even drug-taking (another topic for another day) has a direct societal cost that can be debated.

Someone ending his/her own life has no such affect on disinterested 3rd parties.

Nor is this a “slippery slope” towards “a culture of death.”

It is just a personal decision.

I am alarmed by the number of people on this thread using massive logical fallacies in attempt to rebut my simple statement of liberty over tyranny (be it theological or governmental).

I just wanted you to know and I hope my stance on this hasn’t adversely affected what I consider to be our friendship on matters of The Church.
