Ct scan negative, they want MRI, need to be admitted for that, face still numb
Prayin’
Hope it’s something simple like Bell’s Palsy rather than stroke. Both my wife and I have had bouts. The first time it happened we were really shook up. Left side of my face was paralized and numb it had slumped. We both thought it was a stroke, but the doctors said it wasn’t just Bell’s which is caused by an infection of a nerve by Herpes Simplex 1 (the one you got as a child). I don’t know how you tell the difference on exam but the doctors readily could tell. It took a while to go away along with some anti virals and something to reduce the swelling of the infected nerve (steriod). My wife’s face dropped on her right side far more than mine did.
Prayers for your speedy recovery
Bells palsy....numb across face on once side. I had it. I had a bad canker sore that was in the back of my mouth between my molar and cheek......it irritated the nerve back there and i had feelings of vertigo and “the spins” Felt sick as a dog as well. Worst part of that all is the day I went to the hospital I was serving “security” for President Fords funeral in Grand Rapids and I was standing on the bridge over the Grand River when I looked up at the fighter planes flying in missing man formation and then fell to the ground. A few friends got me to my feet and then the hospital about 1/2 mile away. Nothing was conclusive but found later it was the affected nerve. Good luck with your situation. Prayers up!

Thanks ;)
Prayers you’re back home soon.
its my lower lip, the edge
Still talking, but couldn’t find a few words today...
Very best of luck with this you can handle it.
Heck ... you are going to beat whatever comes at you!
I will pray! Look into cayenne pepper tincture (depending on your diagnosis) and ask your doctor if it would help. I take it almost every day in hot water with fresh grated ginger and some honey. Great stuff!
Ask if there is one someone left behind, sometimes they have one at the desk to the nurses station.
Prayers sent for your health:)
Prayer sent!
I am holding a Viking Kitty for you and she is reaching up and patting my face while purring loudly.
That will make it all better for sure.
How about a bad tooth? Something wrong in the neck?
BA
Prayers up.
I can’t find the right words every day! Keep calm and know your friends here at FR are praying for you.
Prayers to you. I had a lady friend who had that many years ago. They found and fixed the problem and she never had a bit more trouble!
The Gospels are filled with examples of our Dear Saviors love and compassion for the sick and the suffering.
May the Divine Physician touch you and guide the doctors in their treatment and heal you of your illness as well as your anguish and anxiety.
In suffering may you and all of us here at FR be drawn closer to our Dear Lord and in so doing also be drawn ever closer to each other as His precious and beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.
God bless and keep you healthy and safe
Not life-threatening but treated with cortisone and zovirax and clears up in 2-3 days usually. Be careful though that your eyes stay lubricated and don't dry out. Artificial tears help and I tried the eye patch that holds the lid shut but it drove me nuts.
Semper Fi and prayers up for you!
Excellent news that you’re getting medical attention promptly - from what I’ve read victims of stroke can greatly minimize the effects if they get medical help quickly. Best wishes to you.
I know someone who had that. It was no picnic either; but it did clear up in a fairly short while. Praying that everything works out!
