Says a lot about this bunch.
Well since you’re being honest and everything, you could acknowledge that you’re unfit for that particular job and resign.
The Imams, Caliphs and Mullahs have no such doubts. No wonder we’re losing.
If you cannot explain the suffering in the world, you have no business running a Church.
poor little archbishop assumes he’s smarter than god...and is angry that God is doing his bidding...
Wow! Is this guy’s thinking thin.
Anglicans, oye...too smart for their own good.
God doesn’t exist simply to grant magical wishes and to make the world a utopia. We exist to worship Him. Our reward comes in the afterlife.
Resign, sir.
Resign.
Let a Christian take your place.
Amateurish....this loser shouldn’t lead a Sunday Choir Class, let alone a “church”.
Justin Welby says he asks himself is there a God? and says Christians cannot explain why there is suffering in the world
Speak for yourself. I am a Christian and I understand why there is suffering in the world. I will explain it for you. We are all sinners. We are human beings we are not God. We have free will and far too many of us should not. Our reward as Christians is in Heaven not her on this earth.
This guy needs to be informed that there is a discipline that addresses such questions. It is called “theology.” He might want to consider studying it well one of these days.
that’s what protestantism is all about....when you choose to doubt the teachings of Christ’s church, you can doubt even reality....so sad...
Christians cannot explain why there is suffering in the world.
Atheist can not explain why there IS a world.
a true cino. of course christians can explain suffering in the broken, sinful world we occupy.
very pathetic.
If you are that unsure, so full of questions and doubt that you are willing to go public with your unbelief, please get out of the ministry. You are doing more harm than good. Pick up a Bible and get alone with God for as long as it takes.
And he is the grand poo bah of his denomination. I can only imagine the spiritual vitality of those under him.
What’s happening here, fella, you need to get down on your knees and pray hard!
How do you spell.. Oi-vey!
Why is there suffering? So we might show compassion.
Why is there poverty? So we might show charity.
Why is there war and violence? So we might crave peace.
It’s very hard to know light without dark, hot without cold, and redemption without failure.
Any ecclesiastic who starts their prayer with “to whom it may concern” needs to reassess their career goals.
