"Passion of the Christ" actor Jim Caviezel has spoken out against abortion in a recent speech, calling it a "great sin" in America. He also reached out with a message of forgiveness to those who have gone through with the practice.
"Many people are a part of this great sin in this country. These are all God's children and he brings them home. Now He wants to bring you home. Do you think your friend has more grace than God? Does your friend have more love than the Creator? It can never be. God forgives you and now He needs you to begin, to accept forgiveness," the actor told the congregation at Rock Church in San Diego, WND.com reported earlier this week.
Caviezel, who currently stars in hit TV show "Person of Interest," recalled his experiences playing the role of Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's 2004 epic "The Passion of the Christ," which remains the most successful Christian movie ever made.
The actor noted that he faced a number of physically grueling tasks, including being wounded during a whipping scene and being struck by lightning during the final take.
He said that the most frightening yet powerful incident occurred on the final day of filming, during the crucifixion scene.
"I felt this evil presence come over me. 'You're a dead man.' I remember thinking this is the best news I've ever had, because I know if I die I'm going to heaven," he said about climbing the hill.
"The Passion of the Christ" continues having successful showings, and in April delivered UP TV's highest ever ratings among households and key demographics during its TV premiere. In 2004, the film earned $611 million worldwide at the box office based on a $30 million production budget.

Wow! I’m so glad to know this man who portrayed Christ wasn’t just doing a job!!!!
Wow! That takes some guts in Hollywood! Good for Jim!
I'm sure the denizens of Satan are now working to destroy his career.

He has a younger brother, Timothy, and three sisters, Ann, Amy, and Erin. He was raised in a tightly-knit Catholic family in Conway, Washington.[3][4] His surname is of Romansh origin. His father is of Slovak and Swiss descent, while his mother is of Irish descent.[5][
It is certainly refreshing.
One thing that makes abortion worse, is how so many women pretend that they didn’t have one. I hear stories posted (on here frequently) about how ‘good girls’ sermonize about how getting an abortion did to them, but apparently got several before they realized they were living their lives wrong.
So while I support birth control, I will freely state that plain stupidity is the root of many women accidentally getting pregnant. So many of them have some kind of amnesia about how they got into bed with a man and I frequently think they see themselves as so ‘good,’ (in the context of the Pharisees) that they can’t connect their behavior with the need to get an abortion in the first place.
For example, some women say “The next thing I knew, we were in bed together and having sex and it was over”, as if there is some kind of magic spell that causes woman in question to be in bed and done having sex with a man. I believe that there will be abortion as long as women stupidly:
A) Have sex in the first place
B) Have unprotected sex
C) Refuse to connect actions with results
D) Refuse to take responsibility for their choices
I ironically wonder how many of these Pharisee hypocrites don’t tell their future spouses or current spouses about the number of abortions on their medical records. Stories like these are the reason that I’ve made it a choice to abstain until marriage (after a relationship I regret) and I am happy to state that at the end of this summer I will be celebrating ten years of abstinence.
Listen! The wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.)
brought to justiceis a phrase that epitomizes a correctly functioning Judicial system.
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!)
That same kind of magical thinking is common in our culture these days and we see it when the ignorant say that a gun 'just went off' or when they say they 'believe in global warming' as if it were a religion. Is it then no surprise that people blame the shortcomings of their own actions on supernatural sources? They've never taken responsibility for their own actions and they never will.
There are videos on you tube with him giving various interviews. He is a very humble and convincing man. I love Person of Interest. His character has many levels and is not just a good guy or bad guy. Superb actor.
I just flashed back to that. Apparently, there are four of them:
Homicide
Sodomy
Oppression of Widows and Orphans
Cheating Laborers of Their Due
Hmmmm ....
Or how some parents can’t comprehend the fact that their son or daughter ended up committing some kind of crime. I remember a case where a group of upper class kids vandalized a house that was being built, made a horrific mess. Apparently a mother was quoted as saying “When you get a citation like this, you don’t know what it means.” I means that the parent has failed to raise their kids right.
It’s a complete abdication of control and responsibility over your life.
At the risk of being dicey, a lot of girls go to parties, get drunk, have sex (or get taken advantage of) and then screech about how the school should have been ‘looking out for them,’ despite the fact that university is supposed to be a place where you are in control and should be using the time as a preparation for adulthood. These girls should be looking out for themselves and paying attention to how much they’ve been drinking. They shouldn’t expect professors or administrators to babysit them and it’s wrong for so many people at young adulthood to be so careless.
So much magical thinking and stupidity is wrecking this country. All this birth control and information available, but so many airheads refuse to connect the dots and then blame someone else when something goes wrong. As if these women weren’t in a bedroom, taking off their clothes, and then getting into bed. As for the men, the men need to stop ‘being just a guy’ as an excuse, it makes me sick. Too much emotional immaturity these days, I swear.
Amazing how he learned Aramaic and in any sane society, he would have won endless awards for his amazing portrayal.
I enjoy “Person of Interest”, also. It’s amazing how many people go
moonbat crazy if you mention “sin”. I say we’re the most sinful generation in history and yet many act like we’re sinless.
Interesting correlation.
I find the premise far too creepy to get into it.
OneWinged, I do admit that the violence in “Person” is a bit much for me at times, but the concept of a government-created machine knowing everyone’s business seems timely.
