Its hard to tell if the near-constant stream of millennial-centric political think-pieces are perpetuating or reflecting growing curmudgeonly fears about the future of the country. Maybe its a little of both, and Fox is probably observing within its competency when it pegs more than a handful of us as deluded narcissists but it appears theres room for some political optimism among all the moral panic and the reign of the religious right. With millennial religious and political attitudes in flux compared to our predecessors, the upcoming years could be the Christian lefts big moment.
Which isnt to say the United States has no Christian left history with Civil Rights and the heyday of Catholic labor in our past, there is healthy precedent but for the millennial growing up in the age of Jesus Camp and Teach the Controversy, Christian political activity has almost always veered rightward. Yet if the Culture Wars are losing momentum in light of issues like unemployment which 76% of millennials identified as a critical issue in a 2012 Public Religion Research Institute survey, compared with 22% who found abortion or same sex marriage critical how will Christian millennials fall out politically?

Like Jesus described....sheep on the right and goats on the left.
He told us all about this.
The “religious right” but the “Christian left”. The commie piggies have to phrase it that way because they turned the term, “religious right” into a slur. The “religious left” would also be a slur. God will not be mocked. Communists are not Christians. Never have been, never will be. The hypocrite left would have been a lot more appropriate.
Nope, not going to happen. To give up is to be a coward.
I understand that. I’ve posted 23,246 threads and I don’t think I’ve ever left off an author’s name if one was given. It’s common courtesy. Thanks.
"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." - Matthew 24:5
Anyone who endorses Socialism (theft), abortion (murder), radical environmentalism (idolatry) and homosexuality (an abomination before God) is not a Christian. They are like their father Satan. Christ condemns them as Almighty God who only speaks truth:
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." - John 8:44
The Left has infiltrated the mainline Protestant churches in America as well as the Catholic Church. The late Bible teacher and pastor Dr. J. Vernon McGee predicted that eventually the believing Church in America would have to go underground due to persecution. His prediction of who those persecutors would be? The mainline Protestant churches themselves. They will receive their matching orders from their Satanic masters to seek and destroy all those who love Christ.
"Yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service." - John 16:2
When this happens, we cannot be lead as lambs to the slaughter. Christ also told us:
"He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." - Luke 22:36
Give the devil and his mainline evildoers no quarter. Christ says to buy a sword. He means for us to use it.
Those guys came along very late in the development of socialism - though we do have Owen to thank for the name. The nineteenth century was a time when ancient Christian doctrines were secularized into modern atheistic socialism. But socialism is as old as Christianity. Look up the Joachimites, the Adamites, the Brethren of the Free Spirit, the Taborites, the Anabaptists, the Diggers, the Ranters, and other communist heretical Christian sects almost without number. And of course let's not forget the monasteries, most of which were little micro-communist enclaves.
Ultimately, “socialism” comes from Greek philosophy, which has always tried to insert itself into Christianity, so Christianity itself is not the source and the notion actually predates it.
Granted. But nobody today is trying to instantiate the reign of the philosopher kings. Modern socialists are indeed trying to instantiate heaven on Earth though. Their ideologies are always eschatological in nature. They believe in a historical beginning state, then a struggle, and ultimately an ideal end state. There is nothing Greek about that. That's secularized millennialism.
The religious left is the church of Nicolae Carpathia. Phony churches. SEIU fakin’ it.
Anything from SALON can be discounted to rubbish pretty much immediately.

...I do believe the poster was exhibiting sarcasm...
Give the devil and his mainline evildoers no quarter. Christ says to buy a sword. He means for us to use it.
...so, you’re going to go about running swords through he midsections of people as they come out of church...
...sounds like a plan, I guess...
No, silly. We are not going like lambs to the slaughter. Christ did so because He came specifically to give His life as a ransom for many. I believe He wants us to resist and, if necessary, to fight. That’s when we will use our swords (weaponry) to defend ourselves.
