From the Presidential Prayer Team: “More than broken walls greeted Nehemiah when he returned to Jerusalem. The people themselves were broken. They despaired at the condition of their beloved city, weeping over its destruction. Through his inspired leadership, each family was charged with rebuilding not only his own home, but the portion of the Jerusalem walls where he lived. Within a year, they had settled in”

Father, our Compassionate and Righteous God, we are continually drawn to You at Your throne room for help in time of need. We depend on You and Your Word, knowing You are the ever faithful God who keeps covenant. We bless You, Sir, for Your Word, our Rock and Fortress. Hallelujah!

We identify with the emotion expressed in the story of the reaction of the Israelites as they returned to Jerusalem. We have all wept over the destruction we see with our ears and eyes in our beloved Nation. We choose, however, to strengthen ourselves in You. We partner with Your Holy Spirit and other believers around the world to reverse the course we have taken. We know You are a powerful God who hears and answers the prayers of your children. We take joy in knowing this. Because we have prayed, we rejoice that You are pouring out of Your Spirit on all flesh, that our sons and daughters prophesy and “it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.” Thank You for multitudes being drawn by Your Spirit to call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe this will include those who are in authority and every member of our beloved military.

By Your grace, give today wisdom to decision makers in our houses of Government and court systems. Include, Sir, those advising these people.

Protect our military men and women, our firefighters, police, sheriff departments. Give each of these servants an understanding of the importance of their role and also the limitation of it.

Thank You for answering our prayers today in Jesus’ name. Amen.
