Protestants Need to Convert (and Bad Catholics need to Revert)

Controversial, yes, but true. Otherwise, we don’t believe in Church dogma or the reality of the sin of heresy.

Michael Voris makes some good points in this video. To the line “we don’t talk about religion and politics here,” he has added a third forbidden subject, sex. Regarding the older form of that yarn, Brother Francis once made an innocently humorous response to someone while he was out doing our work on the streets. A man said to him, “There are two things, we don’t talk about here!”

To which Brother responded, with a slightly feigned naïveté, “Really? What are those?”

“Religion and Politics!” responded the man.

And Brother said, “What’s wrong with politics?”

Well, when pagan unbelievers post a thread to tell believers to convert to paganism, what do you expect?

The premise of the thread was a foolish abusive argument at its basis.

Billions will lose their chance at Yehova’s rest because of Roman catholicism.

As did the Coptic and the Syriac. Why? Because of doctrinal differences. No different than the Protestants. By your logic then all the other branches of the Catholic church are heretics.

The problem with you and other members of the RCC is your continued arrogant heresy that you are the one ‘true Church’ and that all the others need to bow to your Supremacy. What I see is one arrogant and contentious division attempting with great pride to assert itself over the other branches of Christianity.

What I will counter is that the members of the RRC need to humble themselves, knock off the bravado and swagger, accept their place and role, and minister to their flock, and quit trying to jockey for position and usurp leadership that doesn’t belong to them. Learn to stop trying to be the greatest, and start learning to be the least.

And they do NOT share the same sacraments. More RCC delusions.

But it never ends well; how could it with a topic like this?

Precisely. This isn't the Free Catholic Republic website. It's a political website with some Christian overtones. There are not only many non-Catholics who read here but many non-Christians too.

Catholics who accept the personal Salvation of Jesus Christ are my brothers and sisters. With a world of dying people who need Christ as their Savior, why senselessly poke a stick in the eye of your brothers and sisters in Christ?

That's why I attacked this as "divisive". If you agree with the author, fine, but I suspect your efforts will not only be poorly received but will create enmity where none is needed.

I think their efforts would be far better spent preaching Salvation to those who don't know Jesus rather than trying to split hairs with people who do.

The Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church are legitimate churches of Christ. Both have apostolic sucession, even though the Orthodox Church broke away from the true Church, which is the Roman Church, and they share the same sacraments. Protestantism on the otherhand is a heresy.

That is one of the saddest and dumbest statements I have ever read anywhere. You really need to study the "Bible" and see just how important "apostolic succession" is in your salvation or God's plan.

Seriously, institutions and people are fallible but God is not. Maybe if you love God you should change your focus to God and his word and not the Catholic Church and ritual. Your soul deserves more than blind faith in tradition and apostolic succession.... it deserves God....and in His own words.

You are blindly following an institution when God has provided you with a map of how to follow Him in His own words. He would not have done that if he wanted you to blindly follow a group of people without question. You are not a lemming, you are a man given the tools by God to question and get out of any situation or institutions that do not follow his word and yet you put an institution of fallible men before God and tell others they are heretics...what a sad joke.

It’s not what these guys don’t know what worries me. It’s what they absolutely, positively know is in the Bible that just isn’t.

You really need to study the "Bible" and see just how important "apostolic succession" is in your salvation or God's plan.

Christ didn't ascend and say, "read my book!" He left us a visible Church to guide us by the power of the Holy Spirit until the end of the world. This IS God's plan. Hence the necessity of Apostolic succession. Apostolic succession precedes the Bible. No Church, no Bible.

Protestants who forsake Tradition for sola scriptura are intentionally attempting to bludgeon the Body of Christ, a very unchristian position. The rest is all rationalistic and individualistic garbage.

Very simply. We pray to God the Father directly through faith in Jesus Christ as our intermediary.

You have been told the truth. For the record here is more truth. Oyster crackers and grape juice is not communion. Protestants are certainly free to call it what ever they like, but the Catholics and Orthodox are the only ones that have the ability to have the “communion” through transubstantiation at the consecration during Mass.

But verse one asks that we make intercessory prayer for all men. That IS asking Christians to be mediators between God and man.

Actually he’s (NKP_Vet) correct. Margaret Sanger directly targeted Black (protestant) pastors. She knew she had no chance in hell (no pun intended) with the Catholic Church in fact she was rebelling against the Catholic Church by doing her work.

Here is a quote from good ol’ Marge:

“We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten that idea out if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

Up until Sanger got through to these churches all of them were against contraceptives. Then slowly they started to turn and one by one they voted to allow it. This was in the 30’s and 40’s. Now it’s 2014 and we have churches allowing homosexual marriage and you all wonder why? This is why.

Maybe stick to preaching Christ, and cut back on your criticism of those who follow Christ outside your denomination. May Christ increase, and all others decrease.

The apostolic age ended with the death of John near the end of the first century AD.

The followers of Yeshua were driven underground and dispersed by the pagan tyranny of Constantine in the mid 4th century.

The RCC is Constantine’s creation, and his “Christmas” is celebrated on the traditional day that the pagans made their children “pass through the fire.” That is why Yehova despises it.

“You are blindly following an institution when God has provided”

You are exactly right. I belong to His Pilgrim Church on Earth. Started by the man himself. He started one church. A very visible church with a heiarchy, and a head of that Church, the bishop of Rome, the successor of Peter, the keeper of the truth, the depositor of the faith. I would suggest for the salvation of your soul you convert to His One, True, Church. The choice is yours. I’ll light and candle for you at Mass. Have a great day.

For I do not believe Protestantism will survive the 21st century.

Sorry, not buying it, you are supremely myopic.

As having attended several Calvary Chapels for more than thirty years...Here's their doctrinal statement from the home website...

http://calvarychapel.com/about/doctrine/view/doctrine/

Nothing in their statment about contraception...

So you actually put off having children beause the pastor taught you it was God's will...?

Did you not crack open that Bible to see for yourself ?

Every Calvary Chapel I had been to taught from the pulpit that EVERYTHING spoken from the pulpit needs to be checked out biblically and though prayer...

I'm glad you finally had children but to blame your ten year wait on Protestantism is a little disingenuous...

BTW, my wife and I had six children while we attended Calvary Chapels...Never once did the pastor warn us to stop and use contraceptives...

That would have been a huge red flag...

And if, say, a Baptist writer posted that “we need to convert all the Catholics and challenge their apostasy”, do you not think many would find that offensive? Why post such divisive rubbish here?

There is no Protestant bashing going here here, dontcha know?

No Catholic posts sharp stick in the eye, inflammatory, anti-Protestant threads.

Cue in Baghdad Bob......
