Those who believe in traditional marriage had better get used to it. We’ve lost this battle in the culture wars. The homosexualists have succeeded in framing their situation as a struggle. Increasingly their gay pride will be seen as a struggle for equal rights and those who oppose their proclivities will be branded as racists and once that is accomplished the use of force against those who stand for marriage will begin.
If you want to know why the gays are winning read Robert R. Reilly’s excellent new book Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior Is Changing Everything. Brad Miner has an excellent review of the book here. I can’t add much to Brad’s review. He’s written what I would have written. The best thing about the book is that Reilly explains what’s happening within the gay agenda with an objective, critical stance. He simply reports what’s going on. Just the facts ma’am. The most brilliant thing is that he does so without reference to the Catholic faith, the Bible or any other religious connection. This makes his argument all the stronger for he allows the facts to speak for themselves and never has to pose or get preachy.

Calling evil good doesn’t make it right. I, personally, will never “celebrate” faggotry. And winning the legal battle by fear tactics doesn’t win hearts and minds - these people are so drunk on power and influence that they are overreaching daily and it will come back to bite them. We need to expose constantly the unnatural harm to the body caused by poop sex, and the huge toll in disease and death and keep reminding people why our Creator said not to do this.

Our society, on the whole, accepts the sins of (easy) divorce, fornication, adultery, masturbation, and contraception (which is a species of sodomy). It is absurd for those who accept all these sins to turn to those who want to commit sodomy and declare: “No!”

I disagree and think attacking the argument from this angle demonstrates how weak their "I was born this way" argument really is. There is still zero scientific evidence to support the argument they've used for decades.

But many, many, many Americans are contributing to this process by voting for ‘free’ stuff. 35.4% of US now accept one or more means tested Federal benefits. Large numbers of people want to ‘stick it to’ Big Oil or Big Pharma through punitive taxation. People want bailouts on mortgages, school loans, etc. - monies that were loaned to them in good faith.
All this contributes to destructive, envy-based politics.

Their strategy was based on the premise that, "In any campaign to win over the public, gays must be portrayed as victims in need of protection so that straights will be inclined by reflex to adopt the role of protector. The purpose of victim imagery is to make straight people feel very uncomfortable."
"Jamming" homo-hatred (disagreement with homosexual behaviors) was to be done by linking it to Nazi horror, advised Kirk and Madsen. Associate all who oppose homosexuality with images of Klansmen demanding that gays be slaughtered, hysterical backwoods preachers, menacing punks, and a tour of Nazi concentration camps where homosexuals were tortured and gassed. Thus, "propagandistic advertisement can depict homophobic and homohating bigots as crude loudmouths..."[48][49]
Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, writes,
There can be no doubt that Christianity represents the greatest obstacle to the normalization of homosexual behavior. It cannot be otherwise, because of the clear biblical teachings concerning the inherent sinfulness of homosexuality in all forms, and the normativity of heterosexual marriage. In order to counter this obstacle, Kirk and Madsen advised gays to "use talk to muddy the moral waters, that is, to undercut the rationalizations that 'justify' religious bigotry and to jam some of its psychic rewards." How can this be done? "This entails publicizing support by moderate churches and raising serious theological objections to conservative biblical teachings." [The latter of which attempts homosexuality and biblical interpretation examine and expose.][50]
Kirk and Madsen's open admission of their deceptive tactics is noted as most revealing: [O]ur effect is achieved without reference to facts, logic, or proof. "...the person's beliefs can be altered whether he is conscious of the attack or not"[51] “The campaign we outline in this book, though complex, depends centrally upon a program of unabashed propaganda, firmly grounded in long-established principles of psychology and advertising.”[52][53]
Similarly, author Robert Bauman additionally records: "It makes no difference that the ads are lies... because were using them to ethically good effect, to counter negative stereotypes that are every bit as much lies, and far more wicked ones."[54]
The need for Kirk and Madsen to engage in such manipulation may be seen as being due to their sober realization of the nature of the homosexual lifestyle.

David Kupelian, author of The Marketing of Evil, describes Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen, stating,
Kirk and Madsen were not the kind of drooling activists that would burst into churches and throw condoms in the air. They were smart guys – very smart. Kirk, a Harvard-educated researcher in neuropsychiatry, work with the Johns Hopkins Study of Mathematically Precocious Youth and designed aptitude tests for adults with 200+ IQs. Madsen, with a doctorate in politics from Harvard, was an expert on public persuasion tactics and social marketing.[56]
Marshall Kirk died in 2005 at the age of 47.[57] The cause of death has not been publicly revealed.
Often cited as an early example of such tactics was the role of homosexual activists in persuading the American Psychiatric Association (APA) to remove homosexuality as a mental disorder from its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorders (DSM-II). Dr. Ronald Bayer, though being himself a pro-homosexual psychiatrist, described this removal as being the result of power politics, threats, and intimidation, rather than any new scientific discoveries.[58] In so doing, like slavery before it, the homosexual agenda is seen to threaten basic freedoms, principally the First Amendment.[59]

"Their greatest fear was of the gay lobby, which is very strong in the APA.[61]
Noted homosexual activist and pornographer Clinton Fein, in his article, The Gay Agenda stated: "Homophobic inclinations alone, even without any actions, should be criminal and punishable to the full extent of the law."
Erik Holland, author of The Nature of Homosexuality, perceives that homosexuals have become so reckless in labeling others homophobic that "anyone who questions their labeling someone [is] a homophobe himself. Even quoting factual statistics about the connection between homosexuality and AIDS is allegedly homophobic." In addition, according to pro-homosexual author Vernon A. The devil and this sodomite activists know the Scriptures are their primary obstacle, and thus have expended an inordinate amount of effect attempting to negate its condemnation of sodomy and to find sanction for the same, examined and much refuted here by the grace of God.

I’ve said for a while that we’ll lose this battle rather handily. In the end, it comes down to a religious conviction that marriage is between a man and a woman. If the other side and their supporters don’t give a damn about that, then we’re sunk.

So the answer is ultimately a spiritual one because IMO the battle between the Left and the Right is ultimately a spiritual battle. IMO, all of these battles - political, economic, social - are ultimately tied to this underlying spiritual battle.
Although the good guys prevailed in times past, today, the Left seems to be winning because too many on the Right are spiritually immature. Until enough people grow up spiritually and embrace the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, many on the Right and the Right itself will be as children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive (Eph 4:14), and the Left will continue to have its way in its march towards oblivion.
It's OK because this is exactly what God has told us in the Bible would happen in these last days. But if we trust in Him, He will protect us and prosper us and we will be lights in a dark world (Isaiah 60:1-2) and can help as many as we can.
