Our embassy to the Holy See was established to promote goodwill between the United States and the Vatican.
Under the Obama administration, however, it has at best done nothing and at worst it actively harms our relationship with the Holy See.
Today for instance the embassy staff took a break from posting selfies and asking “who’s your favorite jazz performer?” to celebrate International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia on their official Facebook page:

IIRC an investigation revealed that Matthew Shepard was killed as a result of a drug deal gone bad, not because he was gay.
Kinda dumb to pull this off in an election year...But it goes along with the democrat position about even referencing God’s name.
The embassy to the Vatican was moved from its Vatican site to a site within the Italian embassy grounds in Rome. If it remained in the Vatican when they pulled this off very likely it would have left the Vatican with no other choice but to order it closed.
The fun with this is watching American Catholic Bishops explaining this away.

So sick our state dept. is promoting this.

Interesting that the morons reference the death of Matthew Sheppard here. Recently, someone posted an article on FR about a recently published book.
In “The Book of Matthew”, according to said article, a journalist who researched the cased extensively has found that the two who murdered Sheppard were also homosexualists and known to the victim. They killed him because he ripped them off in a drug deal.
Sheppard = Shepard
(I guess...Who knows if these fools got it right?)
