Controversial billboards in Columbus, Ohio, reading "Jesus is Muslim" and "Mohammed is in the Bible" are drawing protests from local Christians who say Muslims are "hijacking" the name of Jesus.
"Although we support the Islamic community's right to free speech, as well as their right to post messages on billboards, we do not support the hijacking of the name of Jesus Christ in their attempt to lure uninformed Christians into their religion," Coach Dave Daubenmire of Pass the Salt Ministries said in a statement Thursday.
Daubenmire is hosting a prayer vigil on Saturday alongside the Rev. Rusty Thomas of Operation Save America and Pastor Bill Dunfee of New Beginnings Church in Warsaw.
The billboards are sponsored by a group called "Ask a Muslim," based in Columbus, which says that it is dedicated to educating people about Islam.
"We believe that clearing up the many misconceptions about Islam will make this world a better place. A place with less violence and hatred, filled with mutual respect and understanding," the group says.
The group argues on its website that Muslims are actually Christians, if "Christian" is taken to mean someone following the teachings of Christ.

Muslims don’t think Jesus is the Son of God. So their present tense is a lie.
Pretty much everything else from Muslims.

Let ‘em have their billboard. Put up a competing one that says Mohammed married his favorite bride when she was under 10 and put untold thousands of victims to the sword when they refused to convert.
Turnabout is fair play. Imagine the glee of putting up a billboard that said “Muslims are Jews”?
Here’s my proposal:
Have someone (not me) put up a billboard with a similar Christian message in Saudi, Pakistan, Syria ... somewhere like that.
Then we get to treat this billboard and the people who put it up the same way the (not mine) billboard and the person (not me) who put it up are treated.
Ask-a-muslim??
OK.
Is Jesus the son of God?
Is Jesus God?
Did Jesus die on the cross and was he resurrected?
Did Jesus die for the sins of the whole world?
Is Jesus the “only way to the Father”?
Funny? I don’t recall anything describing Jesus as a syphilitic, misogynistic, camel humping pedophile.
Sure, Mohammed’s in the Bible. Right there in the warnings about false prophets.

People have forgotten the reality of what we are dealing with here. Not so much on FR, but in general. A reminder every once in a while isn’t a bad thing, IMHO.
Okay, I’ll go along with that so long as a billboard is put up saying Mohammad is a pedophile.
I agree...it’s just that it is so shocking to see that again.
I know lol however that is nothing. On another site on Illegal Immigration it was worse. Someone posted pics of Muslim infiltrating our nation. One of those pic got me so sad to see man holding his daughter I suppose except she was headless and and young teen male with his head on the bottom of the steps and his young body a few yards away. Some protested why show these photos. Sometimes I do agree why? Yet I wanted to see how brutal these barbarians behave. So I viewed them and the one with the young male got me paled and sick but I continue on because I wanted to see the real Islam. We must face the ugly truth what these animals and there is no way in hell we should allow them to come into our country and behave this way.
Or how about a billboard reading, “Mohammed was a Jew.”
Mohammed probably couldn’t have been syphilitic. Syphilis likely came from America and wasn’t known in the Old World until after Columbus.
