How could a Christian support abortion, gay marriage and a Liberal anti Christian Supreme Court?
I am constantly attacked for my beliefs, seems lately from almost all sides. I see Christian Ministries that I have always admired softening their views on these issues, abortion, gay marriage, removal of God/Christ from public square etc.
In my opinion when a person votes Democrat, they are giving their OK to all these Anti Christian evils by also giving their OK to a liberal supreme court.
I am accused of judging all the time by offering this deep felt opinion. I just cant get my mind around a Christian voting for these anti Christian evils.
I challenge their claim that they are Christian when they argue in support of these evils.
Seems to me that many Ministries are going soft on all these issues, they are afraid to not offend anybody.
I cant find a single character in my Bible that ever played down our sins.
I am a sinner saved by grace myself, nothing more, I just cant get my mind around embracing these issues
This morning Pat Robertson had on TD Jakes, here`s a guy that admits he voted for Obama
I dont think we are showing love in the long run, when we give impression to children that the homosexual lifestyle is acceptable
And the idea that Jesus would be OK with abortion? Outrageous. We all know what Jesus would have done if there was a abortion clinic around when he walked the earth in the flesh.
And how does a Christian vote for a liberal supreme court? Knowing full well in advance that they will vote for everything non Christian under the sun
So I am being told by many that I am the bad guy, I am in the wrong, I am judging etc
Disillusion to be honest
yes..and biblical is commonsense! ..within.
Did you say stats? Ok, but remember RC ruke #1: anything that impugns Rome must be biased, bogus or out of context, or or anything but valid. But seriously, declension is also increasingly seen among us evangelicals in the latter day apostasy, even if they remain the most conservative religious voting bloc, as a remnant shall be saved.
Not counting blacks would eliminate 6% of evangelicals (15% of which are blacks), and 5% of Catholics.
53% of black evangelicals and 35% of black Catholics say that abortion should be illegal.
Blacks constituted approx. 13% of the electorate in 2012. Black Protestants were 9% of the electorate, and Hispanic Catholics 5%
Latinos make up an est. 15% of evangelicals, and 32% of Catholics. 51% of Hispanic Catholics and 70% of Latino evangelicals say abortion should be illegal in all or most cases
Latinos account for 11% of the nations eligible electorate [2012], with 57% being Catholic.
Getting down to white Catholics and white evangelicals, 54% of the former and 64% of the latter say [2011-2012] abortion should be illegal in all or most cases.
Among all Catholics and evangelicals (racial stats not given) who attend services weekly or more, 58% of Catholics and 73% of evangelicals say abortion should be illegal in all or most cases.
Also, what 2013 polling shows is that only 51% of adult Hispanics say abortion should be illegal in most or all cases" even while being family oriented (i am sure there are differences btwn nat.origins though). Other surveys have prochoice Hispanics even higher, and none were lower.
In addition, only a slight majority of 53% of Hispanic Catholics say abortion should be illegal in all or most cases, similar to white Catholics at 54%, which only matches the general public.
Moreover, Hispanics make up at least 32% of Catholics, and 47% of Catholics btwn 18-29, thus foretelling its future voting
In contrast, Hispanics make up 15% of evangelicals, and 70% of Hispanic evangelicals say abortion should be illegal in all or most cases
Overall, white Evangelicals (23% of the electorate) voted 79%/20% Romney/Obama; Protestants overall (53% of the electorate) voted 57%/42%; black Protestants (9% of the electorate) and other Christian voted 5%/95%; Catholics overall (25% of the electorate) voted 48%/50%; white Catholics (18% of the electorate) voted 59%/40%; and Hispanic Catholics (5% of the electorate) voted 21%/75% Romney/Obama http://www.pewforum.org/Politics-and-Elections/How-the-Faithful-Voted-2012-Preliminary-Exit-Poll-Analysis.aspx

The Sinsinawa Dominican nuns:
Finding New Connectors to God We will explore the four types of claires --- clairvoyance (pictures), clairaudience (hearing), clair sentence (feelings), and claircognizance (knowing) --- trying to discover one that resonates with you to help you better connect with the Divine power and bring awareness to where you are spiritually. The retreat will combine the Hatha physical practice and meditation practice of Yoga with discussions about the four types of claires, and time for personal reflection. This is a semi-silent retreat; silence will be observed at all times except during our group sessions. - https://www.sinsinawa.org/MoundCenter/RetreatDetail.cfm?num=511

I believe C. Stanley is still one of the good guys. We never miss his sermon on Sunday morning TV before we head off for our own church. Stanley’s kid is way off the rails, though. My sister was devastated to learn what my nephew is hearing in church, and that he’s bringing up his kids in that airy-fairy mega-church.
I have no idea what that was about, or why you posted it to me.
Good news about Dad
No.
There was nothing wrong really with post 23, it was just misleading, I corrected that impression in post 32.
Sometimes people go too far in making everyone sound the same, in this case the reality is that some denominations are teaching something that leads their members to be mostly pro-life voters, while some denominations are leading their members to be pro-abortion democrat voters.
Post 23 got mixed up by lumping a denomination that creates strong pro-life voters, with another denomination that produces strong, pro-abortion voters, and speaking of them as having the same problem teaching the pro-life message to their members.
My mistake, Sorry.
agree.
they are the party of death.
