How could a Christian support abortion, gay marriage and a Liberal anti Christian Supreme Court?
I am constantly attacked for my beliefs, seems lately from almost all sides. I see Christian Ministries that I have always admired softening their views on these issues, abortion, gay marriage, removal of God/Christ from public square etc.
In my opinion when a person votes Democrat, they are giving their OK to all these Anti Christian evils by also giving their OK to a liberal supreme court.
I am accused of judging all the time by offering this deep felt opinion. I just cant get my mind around a Christian voting for these anti Christian evils.
I challenge their claim that they are Christian when they argue in support of these evils.
Seems to me that many Ministries are going soft on all these issues, they are afraid to not offend anybody.
I cant find a single character in my Bible that ever played down our sins.
I am a sinner saved by grace myself, nothing more, I just cant get my mind around embracing these issues
This morning Pat Robertson had on TD Jakes, here`s a guy that admits he voted for Obama
I dont think we are showing love in the long run, when we give impression to children that the homosexual lifestyle is acceptable
And the idea that Jesus would be OK with abortion? Outrageous. We all know what Jesus would have done if there was a abortion clinic around when he walked the earth in the flesh.
And how does a Christian vote for a liberal supreme court? Knowing full well in advance that they will vote for everything non Christian under the sun
So I am being told by many that I am the bad guy, I am in the wrong, I am judging etc
Disillusion to be honest
Are you joking?
We know that the generic Evangelical pro-life vote was at 79% in 2012.
We also can see that our second largest denomination, voted 80% pro-life in 2008.
From conservapedia:
“”The GOP identification slipped a little in 2008, but about 80% of the Southern Baptists voted for McCain over Barack Obama.””
“Different denominations vote differently, for instance America’s second largest denomination, is about an 80% pro-life vote.”

Before we have this discussion any more listen to Abby Johnson’s “Unplanned”. She who ran the abortion clinic in a past life knows just who is pro life and who was not. I love the many truths she reveals in this video the main one being that the only reason abortion is allowed to go on for as long as it as in today’s churches is APATHY!

>> “Abortion clinics are being shut down all the time.” <<
.
Not as many as are being opened with tax payer support!
Obamacare has turned every hospital in the country into a free abortion mill, and every obstetrician into an abortionist.
.
“Obamacare has turned every hospital in the country into a free abortion mill, and every obstetrician into an abortionist.”
There are also nurses fighting NOT to do abortion on the grounds it is against their religion in these hospitals. They are winning too. So fine let them try to do abortions in hospitals but like in the clinics they will have a devil (no pun intended) of a time finding staff to do it.
As we can see, the “apathy” charge only applies to some denominations, not all.
They can answer any survey some yahoo with a preconceived outcome pays for by saying they're "Pro-Life" til the cows come home but few if any SBC churches actually do not support abortion in some cases.
Therefore, all the garbage about "Evangelicals" that leaves black folks who are Evangelical out of the survey or anything that speaks about "the second largest denomination" is nothing but hot air. The people taking the survey have their own definition of "Pro-Life" and that definition permits abortion in some cases if not all and/or the portion of those surveyed who would make the result an honest one are left out of the survey.
Keep on playing games all you like that doesn't alter reality and it doesn't even fool the people you think you're making a point to. They've wised up to the statistical games.
"As we can see, the apathy charge only applies to some denominations, not all."
I guess that explains why there were thousands of Catholics at the Pro-Life march in Charlotte not long ago and extremely few non-Catholics. A whole lot of non-Catholics really wanted to be there but it was just too cold and it was a rainy day, and you know, renting a bus or carpooling is such a hassle, but they didn't stay away due to apathy, they stayed away due to the inconvenience of lifting a finger.
Any Church I have ever attended held the same view as I on subjects mentioned, Pentecostal , Salvation Army and every Bible Church I have ever attended shared my view.
In part because were I live now, middle of nowhere, only main line Churches, plus physical limitations keep me/us in
Have my quiet time, communion, prayer Bible Study in my home with better half,we have tv ministries we watch also.
So no cant say ever had a disagreement on these core issues at any Church I attended, absolutely not.
In my experience you cant go wrong with any Salvation Army Church, or any Assemblies of God Pentecostal Church, never ever came across one that did not stand by these values, that`s been my experience
As you know I am sure, these folks quite often can not be reasoned with
The apathy is revealed by how the church members vote on abortion and making it illegal.
There is a huge difference from denomination to denomination on whether they take walk out as anti-abortion voters, or pro-abortion voters.
Black Protestants are counted as Protestants and black Evangelicals are counted as Evangelical.
Your anger and arguments sound anti-prolife to me, I don’t understand why the pro-life denominations would be the bad guys here.
Yes that`s basically what was said to me at the 2 forums I mentioned.
And for sure you dont know me so you have no way of knowing if it`s true or not in my case.
So I would ask if you believe the jist of what I said, or if you are just taking issue with what I had to say? Maybe from point of view that I might not be pious, just for the sake of discussion
A new Christian who has not yet received full training in God’s word may do so.
But they shouldn’t do so for long.
Am afraid I cant agree, if Catholic Democrats and The ALL Black Church and Catholic Protestants etc, or all who nameth the name of Christ had never supported the Democrat Party, abortion would be illegal , there would be no gay marriage, we would have prayer and The Word of God in classrooms and public square
I could go on and on
Some Republican appointees were a mistake, in part because the other side would not allow their appointment of the first choices, Bork comes to mind, had people not voted Democrat, they would not have been there to appose
What you say goes against the entire core of my belief, I disagree 150%
People make a conscious choice when they walk in to a voting booth, for or against Christian values
You nailed it! I was basically speaking of so called mature Christians and not new believers.
If I was praying a sinners prayer with a new convert, I would not even mention, but would be disheartened if they went the liberal route.
cant believe I said Catholic Protestants, there’s a new one
So discouraging to see yet another thread degenerate into finger pointing and blame assigning.
thanks
Thanks
I know, the pro-life voting Southern baptists, seem unpopular among some here.
The very voters we should be emulating and praising and studying how they are instilling a Christian message, that actually effects how people vote.
