In 1517, Martin Luther posted a list of 95 Theses on his church's doors. His actions exposed the corruption of the Catholic Church and started what came to be known as the Protestant Reformation.

Between the hours of 9 PM Saturday, February 16 and 9 AM Sunday, February 17, 2013, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and others will post this list of 95 LDS Theses onto the doors of LDS churches around the world.

The purpose of this event is two-fold:

1. Educate the membership on hidden and revised aspects of Church doctrine and history.

2. Influence Church leaders to officially address topics that have long been dodged and dismissed.

Is Mormonism ultimately "reformable" -- to make it acceptable to basic standards of truth/revelation and to God Himself?

Well, given that NONE of these theses even addresses the "competition" Mormonism assigns to God (the gods plural that Lds say exist...and that you as a "worthy" temple Mormon can even add to that total)...well, "good luck" with that!

Still, this minute mini-movement apparently believed that it had to start somewhere to begin challenging the Lds Church and its hierarchical authorities.

So...click on the link to digest these 95 Theses...I don't agree with the upshot on all of these...But it's time the Lds Church began addressing questions like these...

Why would I want to "refute" these 95 theses when I agree with the overwhelming majority of these as produced by its originator?

Since I don't agree with all of them, it's not my responsibility to further document concerns as delineated within all 95 of these...

Beyond that, some of these "these" 95 theses are concerns I haven't even heard of before...so why would I have further documentation of them? [Ludicrous comment by you on that]

#1...They are not "my" operatives.

#2...per the originator of these (see Anybody gearing up for the Mormon Reformation/95 Theses Post this weekend?) apparently some Lds church doors did have these posted upon.

Main points of that post:

It shows how some Mormon critic-reformationists -- like John Dehlin -- try to straddle the fence of both being HEAVILY critical of the Mormon church...all while staying in it!

What makes the Lds religion "unique" is that it doesn't claim to be just another sect...

It claims that the Christian faith went 100% AWOL...
...Claims THEY alone are the "only true church on the face of the earth" (D&C 1:30)...
...that this was the ONLY reason why God chose a teen who was either 14 or 16 yo...
...depending upon which version of Smith's much-later penned "First Vision" he wrote...
...and that this was an entirely NEW jumpstart -- a "restoration" if you will...of the "Christian" faith...

IOW...Mormonism is 100% dependent upon the complete "spiritual death" of Christians and the Christian church.

No apostasy. No restoration. No need for Mormonism.

thanks for posting. some of us live in the USA where there is no Mormon Church around (Upper Peninsula of Michigan). There is a church of latter day saints reorganized in the eastern UP. Thanks again. the mormon church is corrupt and is a false religion that is leading many into hell. The Bible has passages regarding false teachings - genealogies being one whereby the church believers take the relatives history and claim them as Mormon converts - thus in turn they become a higher God.

There is only one God - God. There are not many Gods.

Well, if they did, whoever’s operatives they were would probably be advised to do the Christian thing and go back today and repair any damage they may have caused. The actions taken are more of a witness than any paper nailed to doors.
