Daughter of LDS Bishop Warns Against Mormonism and Romney Presidency ['Of two evils...neither']
Christian News Network ^ | Oct. 13, 2012 | Heather Clark

Posted on 10/17/2012 4:33:29 AM PDT by Colofornian

The daughter of a Latter Day Saints bishop and author of a book on Mitt Romney’s Mormonism says that she has concerns about a Romney presidency.

Tricia Erickson, who is now a professing Christian after being involved in the LDS establishment for 21 years, stated in an article this week entitled The Obamney Twins that while she cannot support Barack Obama, she is unable to vote for Mitt Romney either.

“To me, as a conservative, a Republican and a Christian, I cannot justify a vote for either one of the Obamney baby-killing, annihilators of the family, government healthcare mandated to take over our economy socialist evil twins – and be right with our Creator,” she wrote.

Erickson pointed out that neither seek to ban abortion, and both have shown support for homosexuality.

“Republicans say that they have to vote for Romney because we are losing our country to socialism and after another four years of Obama, there will be nothing left of America. I can’t say that I disagree,” she said. “However, what is never talked about is that Romney has his own goals for the Mormon Church [and] The Mormon Plan for America, and while he is cunning and a good debater, he lacks the judgment to discern that he will not become a ‘god’ in his next life and receive his own planet.”

Erickson has been making the rounds on various talk shows and has been featured in news publications for at least the past year, discussing her concerns with Mormonism and a potential Romney presidency.

“While he attempts to portray Mormonism as just another Christian religion, Mitt Romney counts on his skills to shift our attention away from what he truly believes,” she wrote in her book Can Mitt Romney Serve Two Masters? The Mormon Church Versus the Office of the Presidency of the United States of America.

“It’s like our eyes are glazed over when it comes to the religion of Mitt Romney,” Erickson told talk show host Thomas Hartmann in further discussing the matter. “If you just knew what Mitt Romney believed, you would run far away from this candidate.”

Erickson states that she grew up in a devout Mormon household, and was even married in the LDS temple according to mandated rituals. However, she laments many things that she observed and was subjected to.

“It was horrific,” she told WND. “There I was standing naked [at my wedding]. They brought this bowl of water and started washing my body down, and whispering prayers over my body. They stopped over the right and left breast, the navel and knees and prayed specific prayers.”

Erickson stated that because Mitt Romney is a dedicated Mormon, he espouses beliefs that are very concerning, including that Jesus was not born of a virgin, that Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers, and that Romney will one day become one of many deities.

“Mitt Romney truly, unequivocally believes that when he dies, he is going to become a god in Heaven,” she said. “He is going be given his own kingdom/planet. He will be able to call his wife Ann by the secret name that is only given to him in the Mormon secret ceremonies … When he calls her on to his planet, they will have relations to populate the planet with spirit children, as they believe our God has a wife on His planet, and He did the same, and they believe that we are our God’s spirit children from our god mother and god father.”

“So, all of us here on earth, we existed in a pre-existence with God as a spirit baby, then we came down and inhabited these little babies’ bodies that are here on the earth,” Erickson continued, explaining LDS beliefs. “[This was done] so that we could go through our process to venture into godhood.”

She said that there has been a longstanding agenda in the LDS establishment to place Mormons into governmental offices.

“[The LDS establishment has] been trying since the beginning to get someone in the presidency, because they believe they have to establish their authority so when Jesus comes to earth, the Mormon Church will take control of the government and the Mormons will be the government of God on earth,” Erickson explained.

“They believe that when Jesus comes back to earth in the millennium, that He’s going to come to Jackson County, Missouri, which that’s where they believe the Garden of Eden is,” she added.

Former Mormons Dennis and Rauni Higley of H.I.S. Ministries International in Salt Lake City, Utah concur that these indeed are the beliefs of the LDS establishment. They provided Christian News Network with written outlines of their concerns surrounding what is called the “White Horse Prophesy.”

“From its very beginning, the Mormon plan for America has been to have a Mormon president lead this nation and ultimately the world,” they stated. “The so-called ‘White Horse Prophecy’ of Joseph Smith has been referred to often as a destiny of the Mormon priesthood in saving the United States. This ‘prophecy’ predicts that U.S. government will one day hang as if by a single thread and Mormon elders will step in and save it.”

Erickson said that in Mormon ceremonies, participants must swear to keep secret what goes on behind closed doors. She advised that in rituals that she was involved with, she observed people being forced to make gestures signifying their death if they revealed what takes place.

“They actually had us [symbolically] slashing our guts open and our guts falling to the ground if we told people of the secret dogma of the ceremonies,” she stated.

When asked how Erickson knows that Romney espouses these same beliefs, she replied that Romney has long had high ranking in the LDS establishment, holding office as bishop like her father, and working as a Mormon missionary in France for a time.

“You cannot get more Mormon than Mitt Romney,” she stated. “And I have been through the same temple ceremonies … to follow the church first before anything else.”

“To my way of thinking the idiosyncrasies of Mormon belief and practice are not the issue; Catholic belief in transubstantiation and Protestant belief in the resurrection [of Jesus] can be made to look silly, too,” Romney told CNN last year after being informed of Erickson’s writings and speeches against him.

Because of these concerns, in Erickson’s article this week, she noted that many will vote third party this year or skip the presidential race on the ballot.

“Some have said that they will simply not vote for either establishment candidate, [but] instead, in protest, will write-in another name or candidate if they will vote at all,” she wrote. “I, and approximately 90 million Americans, agree with Charles Spurgeon who says, ‘Of two evils, choose neither.’”

Nana, if they went through a session, and covenanted with God to keep it sacred, then talked about it. Then they are admitted liars, and like Satan their father, cannot be trusted.

If they went through the Mormon temple and did the secret pagan rituals there they werent covenanting anythinbg with God...

They were associating with seance type practices with Satan...

Satan figures greatly in those secret pagan rituals and even “instructs” and “teaches” the Mormon members duped into participating...

Thats not the God of the Chriustian Bible...

Thats the false gods of Mormonism...

There is no truth or “honesty” in the pagan rituals in the mormon temples...

The God of the Christians is maligned and lied about and Christian pastors are called “hirelings of Satan” and mocked..

Any religion that insults the LORD Jesus Christ and His faithful followers is not connected to God Almighty...

Mormonism is false and God forgives those who unknowingly make “promises” to the false gods involved...

God is in the rescuing business...

He doesnt bound up and make slaves of men and women...

The LORD Jesus Christ shed His lifegiving Blood on the Cross and died there to save us and set us free...

Free from the savage wolves of false religions like Mormonism and the world..

Didn’t Jesus also say render unto Cesar’s that which is his, as an American I have the privilege of voting.

Kennedy and his being a Catholic
________________________________________

Granny

John F Kennedy was not a high priest and bishop and archbishop and top leader of his religion like Willard is...

Kennedy did not swear a blood oath to put his religion before everything even our country like Willard did...

Kennedy was only a member...though a nominal one...of many millions of Catholics around the world..

Willard is a temple Mormon one of only 15% of his religion...less than 2 Million around the world...

Willard belongs to an elitist exclusive group within his religion...by “invitation and conditional only”

Kennedy belonged to a religion that welcomed all comers and nurtured them all...

Big diff...

Not that it matters, but no-one but me and God knows if i’m a Christian or not.

You'll just have to take my word on it.

I am, and covenants in the temple are with God, witnesses, and angels.

You may not believe, heck, the world may not believe. It didn't stop Jesus then, and it wont stop him now.

Believe what you will, spout opinion as fact if you wish, don't complain when others treat you the same, it's called a thicker skin.

What I love about Jesus answer to taxes.....he didn't take it out of his treasuries....he sent one of his men fishing to get the money for taxes.......therefore that may be why men have loved fishing since then... Talking about Cesar is bringing secular into the subject...

Good gravy, how did homosexuality get into this. Too many people cannot stick to the subject at hand.

But scripture does teach to live peacefully with all men if possible. Some have been visited by angels and they knew it not so be charitable toward the stranger....this is all paraphrased as I read the bible to find out how to live according to Jesus not using it as a memory course, which is good because I don't have a great memory... Have to be careful in some answers to these posts, maybe one of you is an angel...sometimes it pays to lighten up a little on heavy subjects..

all the Kennedys except old Joe attended mass as did his wife and those that spewed out anti-catholic propaganda use the catholic dogma used against him....people yelling and whispering the Pope would be in the White House. Unless you were of an age to remember, you can't imagine what had been said....oh my he will tell secrets to the pope in confession, he cannot be trusted etc.....It was in the papers all the times and there came a point where Kennedy faced it head on about the fact that the Pope will not be telling him what to do....

I find that era similar to those that don't like Mormons. Same kind of tactics, based on a persons religion...I would trust Romney (he was my last choice) more than the muslim in the white house now...also its not just the man you are voting for, its also all cabinet and all the directors to bureaus like EPA,Attorney General and a multiplicity of alphabet soup bureau's that run the show on domestic regulations...

oops forgot to mention something .....Kennedy belonged to a religion that welcomed all comers and nurtured them all...Its not your fault you dont' understand or know catholic teaching...I as a Lutheran had to take instructions in the catholic dogma, what was prohibited and and how to form your conscience in line with catholic faith.. If I didn't turn Catholic, I could not be married at the main altar but at a side altar....this was back in the late 50's...Although Iam no long a practicing catholic there is still much I love about the church, that's why you won't find me bad mouthing it.....I was a devote catholic for years, but when I left it was based on some spiritual misgivings I developed....

I believe that its not my place to tell others how to practice their religion and like some catholics I didn't stamp my foot and demand they change like some so called nuns and some priests do....its Gods job to clean his church and that is also in Revelation. His threat is to remove their lamp stand from in front of the thrown...not my job, wouldn't want it for a million bucks.

PS it was in the Catholic church where I was converted (other religions use born again) He works in all His churchs,

His assassination was bad but also during those years, his brothr was killed Martin L. King killed, I think it was the governor of Mississippi that was shot but not killed, he ended up in a wheel chair...the whole country was a violent mess...Viet Nam, riots on college campus’s, students doing sit in’s burning building dogs being loosed on peaceful protestors in the south....(these were actually peaceful as MLK believed any other way would not get civil rights passed. It was played out nightly on the news....It was during those times, I was raising a family and I really didn’t think our country would survive...The so called peacenics of the 60’s are now running the government...they are finding socialism is not wanted by most americans and american cities from Harlem and spreading to other cities was on fire with riots....then forced busing Putting your kindergarden child on a bus and taking him for a ride across the city to a foreign place so black and whites could sit together....To me that was an insult to many blacks.... END OF RANT

Godzilla, If I give you my solemn word, not to reveal a conversation and I reveal it anyway. I am a liar. There is no arguing that anyone who breaks a covenant whether it be with God or man, is not a liar, that is already “settled”.

Reality is.

Opinions are not reality.

Good to see that things have not changed since Mormons were banned because you couldn't defend your attacks on Mormonism with logic.

Please. The bannings had nothing to do with the inability to logically criticize Mormonism and everything to do with the lack of civility by the defenders of Mormonism.

I would sure love for you to sit down with a priest and talk about those “spiritual misgivings” you mention.

If you are a convert to the Catholic Church then you are still a Catholic even though you might not be currently practicing the Catholic faith.

I’ve read a lot of your posts and you always seem sensible and knowledgeable.

God bless you.
