n an appearance on WWL radio in New Orleans earlier this week, James Carville surveyed the Romney campaign and said the presumptive GOP nominee still hasnt overcome the issue of his Mormon religion.
According to Carville, who has a forthcoming book called Its the Middle Class, Stupid, Romneys reluctance to talk openly about that is keeping him from dominating the campaign against President Barack Obama.
One of the problems that Romney has honestly is the thing against him the most is his religion, Carville said. And he doesnt understand the reasons. He doesnt talk about that. He was a bishop in his church. And he doesnt talk about the one public office that he held much and that was being the governor of Massachusetts. So, he talks about Bain, but thats become sort of a big issue in the campaign. Hes got to, you know if you look at the numbers, Romney should win this campaign.
So, I think Romney is going to come out I think theyre going to recalibrate their strategy a little bit, he said. I think theyre going to have to. And he just going to have to be more aggressive talking about some of the things he has done and give people a window into as who he is.
The best thing for Romney to do, Carville said, would be to highlight his ability to fix things.
I would say, look people are looking for someone that can fix things, Carville said. And you got to tell them Romney is that guy. You know, you accomplished that with the Olympics. You actually accomplished that when you were governor of Massachusetts. And you actually accomplished that when you ran Bain.

Now THAT’s better!
In the heat of disconnected discussions; it is way too easy to lose track of who said what.
Even if you DID say something in a reply to me; I try to understand the emotions behind the statement and realize that we all can type slower than we think, or, as I seem to do quite often, type something quite DIFFERENT than what I was thinking.
We’ve allowed ourselves to be caught up in defending ourselves (our sacred honor I think was written a couple of centuries ago)and are in danger of losing sight of the goal.
We’ve seen many on FR who evidently do not place much religious concepts behind their choice of politics and others who do.
These separate groups will of course not see eye to eye.
Amoung the religious of us; there are differences that actually keep us from being capable of seeing eye to eye - yet we each think we are right.
We, too, will fuss over the details.
I’m quite sure that neither side will convince the other of the wrongness of our stance; so why don’t we quit?
Agree to disagree; but let’s be gentlemen and ladies about it.

I'm my own best example!! ;^(
>>You are correct its one guy or the other, but you have chosen Romney - why?
I take it you aren’t. Why are you supporting Obama/Soros?
"You are correct its one guy or the other, but you have chosen Romney - why?"
For the very same reason Daniel supported and aided the lest evil of the Babylonian nobles and kings, because King Barry has demanded that everyone bow down to his God and in doing so deny Christ.
God clearly said that Babylon was evil and had already promised to destroy Babylon for their evil and godlessness. He still used them to punish His people when they had gone astray. With the HHS mandate King Barry is insisting that everyone worship his god. Even if Bishop Romney isn't even vaguely Christian he's unlikely to let stand the HHS mandate that forces people to facilitate the thinly veiled sacrifice of children to the god of Humanism. In fact, there's every reason to believe that if it's politically useful enough to him, he'll gladly work to roll back abortion the same way he worked to ignore it in the past. King Barry, however, has never once wavered in his support for human sacrifice and has even argued that there's no need to bother with the abortion in order to justify sacrificing a child to the god of Humanism.
Like Daniel, I'll support the lesser of known evils every time Christ is merciful enough to make a lesser evil available. I have no illusions about Bishop Romney but I also know that every vote for Bishop Romney counterbalances a vote by someone else who votes for King Barry. If a sufficient number of people vote for Romney, we'll be rid of King Barry.
Those who parade in robes of self-rightousness and think others don't recognize turpitude when they see it may be fooling themselves and a few others with their circular reasoning, but for folks of at least average intellect it's obvious that there is every bit as much reason to support Romney as Danial had to work with the King of Babylon.
If the only alternative to a purely evil King who demands that Christians actively facilitate child sacrifice is another member of the same royal family who doesn't demand that Christians actively deny their faith I'll do what Danial did when he supported the lesser of two evils in a similar situation.
King Barry has already decreed that everyone bow down to a false god, Bishop Romney has promised to repeal the law that underlies that forced worship of a false god. That's reason enough to support Bishop Romney even though he, too, is just another Babylonian noble who wants to be King.
“I wil trust any Mormon over any Marxist !”

They’re both evil. Pray for BHO and Mitt’s conversion.
These two reject Christ, reject He is God and are grown men not teenagers in rebellion. Imagine, leading our nation!
Our Lord asks...will there be any faith when I return?

Oh; there will be LOTS of it; just not in Him!!
Just look at how many on FR have faith that CONSERVATISM will win out over Liberalism.
What in the world could a socialist say about any other false religion that would cut any ice?
All he can really do is say I am not obama and obama sucks.
A distinction without a difference.
More.
Why are you supporting Romney?
To just say he is not obama, is not a reason.
Why do you support Romney?
Not voting would be a vote for Obama, And i am just guessing that Romney is not as much of a socialist as Obama.
Colofornian,
Thanks for giving me such a complete answer to my question about who you are voting for.
I have much to think about.
Not voting for Romney is not in any sane world a vote for a BHO.
A vote for BHO is a vote for BHO.
What it seems to be with you as well as many others, is that that Romney sucks but not as bad as BHO.
Sorry I will not vote for people who suck or liberals.
Never fear as I live in California so I can vote for the UCSC banana slug and it wont make any difference.
If people want to understand how Mormonism’s approach to the socio-political realm, they may want to read these two articles (the first written by a Mormon; the second by an ex-Mormon):
Admitting homosexuals to Church leadership, ordaining women priests and minsters, doing other things they have no authority to be doing, such as collecting tithing, Trying to change the Sabbath from the 7th day of the week to the first day.
I believe if we are going to start examining religion we need to examine the false doctrine in the other churches as well.

All except the doctor thing applies to all their groups since there are two large divisions ~ those who came to America from about 1830 on don't even know of those who came to America from about 1638 on and both bodies speak of the others as though they are a fiction.
Thank you for verify my point about the worlds and you may have missed the point I made about where I live.
