She also participated (about a year ago) in some concert to help stop “global warming”.

That in itself should have told everyone where her views stand. I’ve stopped listening to her for a long time now. This isn’t a bit of a surprise.

I’ll listen to liberal singers if I like their music, but not when somebody professes to be a Christian but not choose to follow the core teachings.

"She didn’t come out and say I support gay marriage did she?"

One thing for sure, she didn't come out and say Scripture teaches that homosexuality is a sin and that marriage is established by God for one man and one woman, not a pair of whatever the cat drags in.

This is a funny bunch of messages. How many of the people defending or dismissing what she said turn around and tell people they're not every bit as relativist as the society as a whole is? Come on, folks, either she's looking out for her career by putting that ahead of what she believes or she doesn't believe what the Bible teaches about homosexuals or marriage. You can't wiggle around that and if she's making a buck as a "Christian" artist but you ignore the fact that she doesn't believe what the Bible says, where are you drawing the line?

Why not have gladiatorial games if the only question is, "are you not entertained"?

“Above all,” she said, “God wanted us to love others."

Above all, God wanted us to be holy. That is why God sent His sinless Son Jesus to live among us -- so fallen and sinful man could live with God forever. Without the sin of homosexuality, or any other sin.

So what if you’re married and you’ve fallen for another person? Should you parade that relationship in public because you “love them”?

Do we really have to spend our lives running around and chastising people who aren’t ‘Christian enough like me’?

Yes! The scriptures tell us to test all spirits to see if they are of God. In 1 Thess 4:8, the scriptures tell us that whoever rejects the commandment for sexual purity has rejected God. There are lines drawn in the sand. When the persecution comes, these liberal Christians will desert the church in a hurry.

Huh? Just saying that people in public life should kind of like keep personal opinions to themselves, don’t use their stage to promote their ideas. Either case. People in their private lives don’t go gossiping about their personal beliefs so why should someone who has the public stage come out just because they’re a public figure? Just saying.

What a crying shame. This young beautiful and God gifted talent that calls herself a Christian but has absolutely no hard bible doctrine. People like this, I call Chrinos. Christian in name and thought but don't have a clue about what the very Lord they claim that they believe in, has told them in his sacred word.

"Don't you see? You can't attack her argument for it's application to other issues. You have to attack her argument for it's own sake. "

It demonstrates the stupidity of her argument, which leaves her conclusion in doubt. By her reasoning, anyone can marry anyone or anything if they just 'love it'. And that is ridiculous. You cannot marry a cheesecake.

50 years ago, no one thought homosexuality would be legalized, let alone given honor by the government. There was a time, long ago, where no open homosexual could hold public office.

Two guys sharing a house isn't my business. Two guys claiming their 'love' is of equal value and worth in the eyes of God and the future of the country as heterosexual love is a huge problem.

God will not be mocked. If America doesn't repent, America will face the rightful wrath of God.

For someone who has claimed to be a follower of Christ to publicly reject the Gospel - which starts with repentance - and proclaim evil is good, IS my business:

"In my previous letter I said, “Don’t mix with the immoral.” I didn’t mean, of course, that you were to have no contact at all with the immoral of this world, nor with any cheats or thieves or idolaters—for that would mean going out of the world altogether! But in this letter I tell you not to associate with any professing Christian who is known to be an impure man or a swindler, an idolater, a man with a foul tongue, a drunkard or a thief. My instruction is: “Don’t even eat with such a man.” Those outside the church it is not my business to judge. but surely it is your business to judge those who are inside the church—God alone can judge those who are outside. It is your plain duty to ‘put away from yourselves that wicked person’." - 1 Corinthians 5

get off the fricking fence and make a decision!! You remind me of Clinton, “it depends on what the meaning if is, is.” Are you an “independent” can't make a decision on what you believe.

Rats. Carrie is from the right state, from the right Indian tribe, from a really good town, and the best football team (Boomer Sooner!). But I’m done with her.

Pathetic examples - Carrie didn’t support pedophilia, polygamy or incest. To drag these into her support of same-sex marriage is to openly declare you don’t have a strong enough argument against same-sex marriage for it to stand on its own.

Are we supposed to pick and choose which sexual sins are acceptable?

Paul said we should “expel the immoral brother.” Later, when the man repented he said to reconcile with him and welcome him back.

Every church is gay friendly, since gay is a sin like any other, and since none of us are worthy . . .

This narrative about ‘gay friendly’ and ‘not gay friendly’ churches is idiotic.

My church is full of sinners and hypocrites. It’s the way God intended it.

The issue is churches rewriting the Bible such that gay isn’t a sin, when it is.

If Carrie Underwood were a professed atheist and said she supported gay marriage, then fine, that's her opinion and I don't agree with it, but she has a right to freedom of speech. The problem is she's claiming to be a "devout Christian" who supports gay marriage. That's false advertising. Gay marriage is not compatable with the bible or traditional Christianity. She may sincerely think that she "follows Jesus" (Muslims think they do too, he's a prophet in their religion) but she is not practicing traditional Christianity. If her church is a real Christian church, then her minister would object to her position and she would be violating church teachings.

Allow me another angle. There is nothing in the Scripture about “gay” or “gaiety” being a sin! Once you accept the euphemism for whatever, pederasty in this, or abortion in another case, you’ve thrown a white flag. There is no discussion. Of course gaiety is welcome in all churches! And is there anything in the Bible forbidding “choice”?

A friend of mine who is a flight attendant, said that Carrie was on one of her flights, recently. I was very disappointed to learn that my friend said Carrie was extremely rude and quite “stuck on herself”. Too bad.

I’m not sure I understood where you are coming from in your approach. When a man lays with man as he would with woman, that is an abomination before God. This is in the Bible. The translation from the Greek for the word ‘abomination’ gets a little watered down as it moves to English.

In the NT, Jesus describes in detail precisely what marriage is. Man and woman becoming one flesh.

There is precisely zero in Scripture to support homosexuality. There is zero biologically to support homosexuality as ‘natural’. In point of fact, it is a complete inversion of the Divine Intent. A mockery of the Divine Intent.

If there were a stronger word in English for ‘abomination’, that would be the one we would use. ‘anathema’, perhaps.

Murder, rape, stealing a pack of gum, and sucking a live baby out of a woman’s uterus are all sins. They all keep you out of Heaven.

Here it is then. We completely agree on the issue, so there is no discussion. What I am saying is that whoever controls the language, controls the debate. When you use the word-euphemism "gay" instead of naming the activity by its proper name, you have in my view lost the debate right at the start if only because who would be against "gaiety"? The same goes for using "choice" for abortion. I believe this is a major issue in this culture war.
