Three thoughts:

1. Remember when Barry's Green Jobs Czar Van Jones said that Barry's black support wouldn't falter even if he comes out as gay? It's sort of interesting that some of the major network news leads were NOT saying, "President Obama announces his support of gay marriage" but "President Obama comes out in support of gay marriage," but this could just be the penchant of the media for cleverness, but to date they've been very hands-off in any sort of criticism of The One.

2. In response to an interviewer who asked Barry if Biden's remarks on the subject spurred him to change his mind, Barry stammered a bit as he is wont to do without the comforting presence of TOTUS and said that he had been supporting gay marriage since before the election--then backed up and said since before the convention. Well, if true, then all his comments to the contrary since before the convention or the election were, uh, well, lies, right? Or, rather, carefully nuanced statements consistent with his current evolutionary state on the subject in terms of securing whatever it was he felt he needed to secure at that particular moment: "Oops, seems I, uh, need a third eye, let me quickly evolve that."

3. He's off today to do a scheduled fundraiser with the organization of at least one of the letters of the LGBT "community" and another at George Clooney's place that will feature a number of pro-gay marriage and heavily-laden-with-campaign-cash guests. Could there possibly be a connection between his need to pump up his detumescing base, his less-than-amazing fundraising this time around, his publicly-declared abandonment of middle class white voters, and his latest evolutionary stage recapitulating his 1994 pro-gay marriage stance, recalling to mind Kerry's claiming to have voted for a bill before voting against it?

Is Barry really telling us how he really feels (keeping in mind the comments of his friend at Columbia who was a girl about his being very closed, having sharp edges, and manifesting deceptive warmth)? Or is he, once again, shaping his message like he shaped his memoirs, altering, compressing, conflating, and renaming, to maximally impact the largest possible donors, image-makers, and ideological soul brothers toward the ka-CHING needed to get him where he wants to be come November?

Cardinal Dolan seems to be a fine man, but I don’t think he realizes that many catholics who are Democrats-—are democrats first and catholics second , and only if Catholicism doesn’t get in their way.

I know, I have spoken to them, They will vote Obama if Obama started putting Catholics on the trains to Auschwitz.

Obama, Ted Olson, Dick Cheney and Joe Biden all advocating gay marriage and Mitt Romney is not taking a stand against gay marriage.

We are is a societal and constitutional downward spiral.

In an unprecedented move, Obama announced his support for “same-sex marriage”

From the words of Pope Leo XIII...

"Man, indeed, is free to obey his reason, to seek moral good, and to strive unswervingly after his last end. Yet he is free also to turn aside to all other things; and, in pursuing the empty semblance of good, to disturb rightful order and to fall headlong into the destruction which he has voluntarily chosen.

For once a Catholic prelate who is not afraid of the MSM or political fallout from expressing the Church’s position on this issue.

The same-sex marriage fight is indeed a serious issue and can best be fought in the states with the support of the Church. The Obama Regime is poised to eliminate the Defense of Marriage Act if it can de-normalize heterosexual monogamy. Whether to bring the fight into the presidential campaign is a tactic, I am afraid, could distract from the issue of Obama's economic incompetence. It is the economic issue that is the silver stake into the heart of the Obama Regime. And it is the failure of Keynesian economics, which was proved a failure during the FDR Regime, that Obama revived for its same failed effect. We need to get to the bottom of why he revived this failed economic plan. That answer should kill his chances of reelection.

The battle needs to be waged in the states through voter initiative. That should divert economic resources from the gay sector into pro gay marriage efforts and away from campaign contributions to Obama. This just happened in North Carolina with Amendment 1. Washington State has Initiative 1192 and Referendum 74 collecting petitions at this time for the November ballot.

On the perversion of the family issue, we need to formulate a clear message that defends monogamous heterosexual marriage. We have a huge electorate who does not know the implications of normalizing homosexual relationships and has been dumbed down by the Hollywood media. You see them clapping on shows that promote homosexuality and same sex marriage. Most American have no clue what the battle is about. The media indoctrination for same sex marriage has been irresponsible and non-stop. How we stop the propaganda campaign will be a challenge.

Basically, same-sex marriage violates the natural parent-child bond in every family, and the right of the family to protection by society and the state. It will discard the fundamental understanding that the family based upon the heterosexual marriage is very foundation of society. Same sex-marriage will de-naturalize the family by rendering in their entirety familial relationships as ever changing expressions of law. That universal understanding for thousands of years that the family is a small society (a sovereign state) with unique rights and responsibilities independent of the state will be no longer. Instead, the family will become mere policy relationships, defined and imposed by the state. The family (this society) founded more immediately in nature--the proles (procreation or fruitfulness)--will no longer have the distinction of sexual difference, with its distinctive quality of generative power. The family must continue to be the natural and fundamental group unit of society. With a change in the definition of marriage the family will have no direct connection to nature. This leaves the parent-child relation open to increasing intervention by the state. And with the possibility of the state being influenced by foreign forces, the definition of the family could be expanded to include such barbarous practices as marriage to children and polygamy.

With the definition of marriage redefined, the state with its new found power, will undermine further the sovereign nature of the family, and the sphere of the church or religious community as well—the two spheres where divine and human rights independent of the state are located. This will come as an all out assault on hetero-sexism, or anything that seems to privilege the male-female binary or the nuclear family. It will enable the state to indoctrinate our children and deprive us of the power to intervene. The individual--men, women and children--will be reduced to be subjects of the state with no divine rights. We must understand the serious nature of this fight. There will be no peace is to be had by capitulation.

The big question is can this fight be fought in the midst of a presidential campaign? Could it backfire and be used against our candidate? Remember, we are dealing with an indoctrinated public who is ignorant of the real issues and their consequences. Can smart minds formulate the argument sufficiently that they will not be painted with the wide brush of political correctness?

This fight must be be vigorously taken up by Christians who can boldly declare that marriage is a gift—something we receive with creation, not something we invent—and that only what is capable of being a marriage act is natural sex. I believe that this issue can be fought on the moral level as it presents itself to the sovereignty of the family. It should be made a human rights issue. Then, it ceases to be a Republican or a Democratic cause, and spun to justify an attack against our presidential candidate.

Now if only all the Bishops would come out against this like they did the HHS mandate.

I’d love to see it.

Why hasn't Joe Biden been excommunicated for blatantly and openly violating one of the basic tenets of his religion?
