As the saying goes, “Show me your friends, and I’ll tell you who you are.” Who are the bedfellows of the ELCA? In a past blog, Exposing the ELCA revealed the close ties and similar ideologies the ELCA has with the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations.
Now we find that the ELCA is also very close with an organization called the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).

Who are the bedfellows of the ELCA? In a past blog, Exposing the ELCA revealed the close ties and similar ideologies the ELCA has with the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations. Now we find that the ELCA is also very close with an organization called the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).
At the local level around here, the ELCA (including my former parish before I became Orthodox) has “distinguished” (NOT!) itself by prostrating before the very worst muslims, taking their side in local and international disputes, and bringing ISNA/MAS/muslim Brotherhood-connected muslims into their congregations to practice da’wa, taqqia, and kitman on their deluded liberal members, especially including youth.
So this report on the national ELCA (on which the local area ELCA leaders have quite a bit of influence) is quite believable.
This is yet another BIG reason (especially for families with children and youth) to leave the ELCA. Learn about Orthodox Christianity instead.

My friend I’d hoped never to see this.
I’ve been watching this train-wreck at the local level for some time now—mainly from a distance, since I’ve been Orthodox for nearly four years now.
But in 2002, I was kicked out of the Alinksy “interfaith” organization that my former ELCA congregation was a member of, because I would not go along with the lie that 9/11 was mainly about “hate crimes against muslims”, and because I supported the Serbs. It was a big fat female SEIU/UAW union goon who kicked me out!!
At the time, I felt bad about it, because I had been labeled as a “bigot” for opposing the muslims. But now—especially with the role of Alinsky and the SEIU in obamunism—I’m very proud that I got kicked out!
SunkenCiv, your screen name is oddly appropriate for what is happening here. I remember 1989, and the big and noble role of Lutherans in demolishing the Berlin Wall. Now the Lutheran civilization—both in the US and in Europe—is “sunken”—by “gays”, feminists, muslims, and the New World Order!
Please do not paint all that claim the name of Luther with the same brush.
It would seem that the ELCA is still trying to figure out how to make Radical Islam a full-communion fellowship partner.
I’m not talking about all Lutherans, but the majority of Lutherans in the centers of Lutheranism—Europe and North America—and about Lutheran culture and civilization.
Despite the minority of faithful Lutherans in the LCMS, WELS, and the new ELCA “spin-offs”, as well as the declining number of faithful Lutherans in the ELCA (some of whom I know), what I say about Lutheranism as a culture or civilization is unfortunately true. The same goes for Protestantism in general.
By making friends with the Muslims, the ELCA folks are hoping to be killed last.
I’ve known some muslims (NOT muslim Brotherhood members) up close and personal.
They respect us Christians who stand up for the Serbs and others of our brothers who are under attack, even though they don’t really like us as you might expect.
But they DESPISE the sniveling cowards in the West who prostrate before the very worst muslims!!!!
These cowards will be killed FIRST, and they will die without honor, either on earth or in Heaven!!!!

In a much more serious vein, do make time this 14th day of February to give thanks for the life and ministry of the brothers +Cyril and +Methodius, the “Apostles to the Slavs” whose work included the creation of the Cyrillic alphabet which brought literacy to many of the Eastern European languages; and, most importanly, allowed for the translation of the Gospel and the Liturgy into those tongues.
Those peoples are truly on the front lines against Radical Islam.
Definitely appropriate, it was a lucky choice.
