No, I refer directly to replies by FR Catholics to the Religion Forum over the past year or two, calling the Apostle Paul crazy and denigrating the value of the books of the Bible written by him.

_______

Sorry, ONE, and only one Catholic had an issue with Paul and got no agreements with any other Catholics. I saw the thread where it happened.

I also knew that in the future some of the more nefarious anti-Catholics would take one person’s personal opinion and try to make it the “Catholic position”.

I watched for it and sure enough I saw this tactic used by the usual suspects.

Anyone who saw the thread and subsequent references to it and still try to say Catholics, instead of one Catholic (singular) are simply engaging in an untruth by using the plural “Catholics”.

Was that the guy who is no longer here?

Thanks. The more I read of the usual suspects, the less I respect any of their positions on anything/

Almost every single one of them.

Well, you'll still need to keep your eyes peeled in the future, because you'll see Protestants derided as "Paulicians," and you'll see the books of the Bible written by Paul denigrated and devalued. Judith Anne may have been the most egregious example, however she is not alone as you both now contend.

It's all very odd to me. It's not as if the Apostle Paul wasn't Apostle to the Gentiles or anything. The whole thing seems rather contrived, and yes, it's an ongoing thing, not merely my picking up a single instance of blatant Biblical illiteracy and running with it, and rubbing your collective noses in it forevermore.

I've also seen people deride the very Biblical description of Jesus Christ as the Second Adam, calling it some crazy Protestant idea. That was Judith Anne, too, but there are others who have implied as much. I've also been told I'll be judged by the pope when I die. All here on FR. On the whole, your group really does not exhibit that much evidence of Biblical literacy, and that is a travesty. Rather than launch a sectarian counterattack as has apparently always been the case, perhaps you all should pull out your Bibles and verify for yourselves as the Bereans did.

You yourself are not a very frequent visitor here that I recall, word_warrior_bob. It's somewhat puzzling as to why you'd go dredging up a reply of mine from, what, several weeks ago, ping your own newfound gaggle of usual suspects to it and start piling on.

Slow night or something?

Wrong. There were more. And no, no not one Catholic called the offenders on their Paul issues. The silence was deafening.
