On Wednesday, I will be having laser surgery for a cataract. Even though I know that this is now a routine procedure, I am very anxious, especially since I am squeamish about stuff being put into my eyes.
Please pray for me to receive the grace from the Holy Spirit that will allow me to place it all in Gods Hands.
You got it man.
May God give you strength during this trial.
You got it.
They can do amazing stuff with eye surgery these days. My dad got new corneas a few years back and says it was like getting a new set of eyes.
Prayers up for you. My sons grandma-in-law just had her cataracts removed. She’s 77 and doing just great. I know you will get thru this also.
God bless.
1. Everyone is squeamish about stuff in their eyes.
2. They are used to dealing with people who are squeamish, or in my case a little baby.
When I had eye surgery they had these large TVs in the waiting room where you could watch the surgeries. Big honkin eyeballs attached to men actin like little girls. :)
It’ll be fine but you got the prayers
May the Lord comfort Bigg Red of his anxiety for his surgery. May He guide the doctors and technicians. May He surround Red’s family with love and courage. In this I pray. Amen.
My prayers are with you, Bigg Red. I understand fully your anxiety. Even a procedure that the medical community may describe as “routine” is unnerving. I may be out of bounds here but is it possible that your doctor prescribe an anxiety pill for you? I’m not talking about morphine... just something to take the edge off? I’m just thinking that a relaxed patient would do far better than a tense one.
oh! I am also REALLY squeamish when it comes to my eyes.
Prayers up and best of luck to you
May God bless your physician and grant you beautiful new vision.
(My sister had the same laser surgery....and now sees fantastically. She said it was the best thing she ever did. ;-)
PS She had it done in Maryland. ;-))
Prayers offered up!
I’ve had two separate surgeries to remove cataracts from each eye. Before the first surgery I was, like you, anxcious. Before the second surgery I was more bored and impatient to get it over with than anxcious.
Hang in there! Most likely, you’ll be pleased with the result. Just be sure to follow your post-op home treatment. Everything will be fine.
Prayers up for you my FRiend, for peace of mind, and for the medical team.
May God bless.

Prayers sent.
Prayers up!
You have our prayers and best wishes for success. Last year my wife had surgery to correct 20/500 vision using lens inserts. The eye surgeon prayed with us each time.
She now sees better than I do and I’ve never worn glasses except to read.
No surgery is routine for the patient (I had open heart earlier this year and I was the White Knuckle going in) but it’s established science to the practitioners.
The Lord’s grace be with you!
I had one eye done March 1st. It went fine. No swelling and vision back quickly. I’m going in tomorrow though to get a lasik tweaking because although the lens is in good position (says the doc) my vision is still a diopter off. So we can be prayer partners this week.
Prayers up
