My advice to Egypt: stay home. Every time you cross that Sinai desert, things fall apart.
Egypt’s military has absolutely no taste for another war. The officer corps wants their turn at the corrupt riches. It’s all. They won’t be sharing it with the islamists. Egypt’s pretty stable. Libya, on the other hand, looks like it’s ready to catch on serious civil war fire as the military is not well respected there nor is it homogeneous (ie, officers have allegiances to their tribes, and tribes seem to be rising up).

Imagine that, Mubarak’s bed is still warm and they are already letting “freedom” go to their little heads.
There is only so long that Israel’s ECONOMY can support a conventional defense of its borders, with more and more hostile regimes poised against it. This forces Israel to devote more and more of its treasury and soldiers to the defense of Israel. Eventually unless something changes, the hostile forces will win either on the battle field or by the economic drain the conventional forces are. In conventional war Israel has to win every time, her enemies have to win only once.
Israel’s enemies must never forget, Nukes are cheap and Israel has no place to run.
