I was basically asking if there was anything contrary to the WCF that you believe or could believe to be a Biblical truth.

Nothing contrary.

We were discussing this particular claim:
"The Rapture will occur suddenly. And countless thousands will vanish from the earth. Swept up to heaven to live with Jesus and escape the torment of the Tribulation, the others will be left behind." — The Dead Sea Scrolls
I see nothing in this new material that addresses that specific claim. Most of what you posted is along the lines of the previous tripe.

Do you have anything that supports the claim of the “rapture” being taught in the DSS?

Quix, I’m sorry you’re having to go through this; but, of course, we all have to sooner or later. We have to realize that the Lord looks at other people in a different way than we do. Relationships in life are rarely as ideal as we wish they were, and things are not always as they appear to be. - Prayers that his stepchildren do what is needed at this time for your dad. My father passed away at 81 almost 9 yrs. ago. I’m an only child; and my husband and he didn’t have the ideal relationship for reasons that were beyond me. I wasn’t able to do everything as perfect for either of my parents as I wish I could have. (I’m trying not to be vindictive toward my husband’s mother, who is 87 and has always been sort of difficult toward me. I go ahead and visit her with him - which he refused to do for me with my parents for many years. I’ll not render evil for evil, though.) It’s not easy, and may the Lord grant you peace and comfort, and also peace and comfort to your dad.

"It’s also called the time of Jacobs’s trouble. Jeremiah 30 tells us that he shall “be saved out of it”."

Also...
"For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock." Psalms 27:5

THANKS TONS FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND CARING AND PRAYERS.

PRAYERS FOR YOUR FAMILY.

There might be a prayer group in your area who would be experienced and anointed in praying over demonic strongholds such as those in individuals’ lives . . . getting them to take that on as a persistent prayer project for some many months could show real progress.

And, there’s that very hazardous, desperate but often necessary prayer . . .

LORD, WHATEVER IT TAKES, BRING THEM TO THE PLACE WHERE THEY ARE DESPERATE FOR YOU; SEEK YOU EARNESTLY, CALL OUT TO YOU AND RECEIVE YOU, IN JESUS’ NAME.

“What I dislike most about dispensationalism is that its adherents almost sound like they WANT their dire predictions to come true. If the world is not devolving, dispensationalists will be mighty disappointed.”

That is not the case. Most dispensationalists see the world/culture as fallen. They are not Pollyannish or world affirming or culture affirming. They do not “WANT their dire predictions to come true”; they are waiting expectantly for the Lord's return and obeying the command to read the signs of the times. Obviously they do not have complete knowledge of all truth and some err in predictions just as preterists and semi-preterists err in their optimism.

Deut. 29:29, “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

well, quality contact comes from two sides.

Talking about a different subject, I'm no psychiatrist, yet I've seen studies which indicate that parents may grief that:

These are standard psychological reasons given by psychiatrists. This is really sad that parents have to suffer because of rootless kids, so the parents end up blaming themselves even though the parents tried their best

Everything belongs to Christ now. It always has. "Jesus...by whom all things consist."

"Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase." -- Psalm 85:10-12

"All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." -- Matthew 28:18-20
