I've yet to see any dispensationalist explain the fact that there were only 12 Christians a mere 100 generations ago and now there are over two billion Christians.

-- Yes, thanks to the blessings of God! Praise to Him.

Actually, dispensationalists are the ones who believe that God meant what He said when He told us that the Gospel would be preached to all the world and then Christ would literally return.

What is surprising is those who deny any part of Scripture, such as the Scripture which details the event of the Rapture which has been posted on this thread, would actually take God at His word when He said people would come to Christ for salvation during this current Age of Grace.

That is the surprise. To see someone who has denied Scripture admit that one part of the Bible is actually true.

Well, if you saw the “upline” of these particular postings, you saw that the initial topic was sanctification. Why Rashputin took that topic and used your posts as an example of mockery when there are so many other flagrant examples of mockery, arrogance, hypocrisy, etc. is beyond me.

I really enjoy your posts, and I’ve never seen unwarranted mockery in them.

Thanks for your kind reply.

How many translations of I Thes 4:13-18 do folks need to quit denying that The Rapture is in God’s Word?

What kind of perverse emotional/mental/spiritual disconnect allows/supports such denial?

I gather you are unaware of the definitely 100’s and likely thousands who have been having dreams and visions and visitations of The Risen Christ Jesus as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and coming to Saving knowledge of Him though they had never heard of Him.

Then they have to secretly find a Bible in their language to find out more about Him without getting killed for doing so. Exciting happenings in these END TIMES—this closing period of the Church era/dispensation.

What’s that got to do with anything Dispensational?

OF COURSE Christ’s disciples have been obedient to go and make disciples and Holy Spirit has been doing His part in all that.

The Bible is still rather clear that WHEN The Gospel has reached every people group,

THEN the closing acts of the play take place.

Y’all seem to be clueless about how FITTINGLY TIMELY IT IS

THAT ISRAEL HAS BECOME A NATION AGAIN IN A DAY IN 1948 . . . RATHER PRECISELY AS SCRIPTURE FORETOLD . . . AND WITHIN A GENERATION OF THAT . . . THE GOSPEL WILL REACH EVERY PEOPLE GROUP.

Y’all’s idiotic pseudo-eschatology has no explanation for that.

As to such why’s . . . I remain increasingly convinced that 99.99% of the time, it has to do with REACTIVE ATTACHMENT DISORDER, of a serious degree, in childhood. I’m more than professionally acquainted with that having spent plenty of my 64 years overcoming my own such.

When there’s inadequate, insufficient, incongruent FATHER LOVE, all manner of dynamics and substitutes engulf the child. Arrogance out of resulting insecurities can be chronic, deep rooted and pervasive. The need to have ‘tidy little boxes’ substitute for authentic Biblical understanding can be extreme.

Having ALMIGHTY GOD reduced in their own minds to !!!!CONTOLLABLE!!!! ‘size’ can be a habit. Avoiding the supernatural acts and dynamics of Holy Spirit in this era can be essential to their need for a predictable cut & dried sterile theology.

God may still be God in some sort of detached deterministic sort of way—but He’s no longer The God of The Bible.

Anyway, FWIW—that’s my thumbnail’s worth of explanation.

Never offering serious analysis, and going bonkers when serious analysis is presented; discussion with such is a handshake with a pit viper.

You noticed! LOL. Too often too true!

However, Scripture is not at all remotely clear of the TIMING of the total replacement with a new earth.

My own sense is that after or at the time of Armageddon . . . there will be a firestorm cleansing the earth in a list of literal ways. Even the Hopi's declare that folks must be deep enough in the earth to survive with plants/seeds with them--for roughly 2 weeks. Scripture talks of the sun being 7 times hotter than normal.

Then there's the Millenial reign of Christ and us with Him.

Then there's satan loosed for "a season."

THEN? PERHAPS? a totally new earth and Heaven.

It would not surprise me . . . Randy Alcorn in his excellent HEAVEN documents that God is intent on restoring earth to the Garden of Eden status. . . . that God will essentially be bringing Heaven to Earth with the New Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven etc. etc. I think he's quite accurate on such scores.

There are interesting faint hints . . . the earth will be moved out of it's place . . . how much? No more sun because God will be the eternal constant LIGHT. When?

The New Jerusalem 1500 miles square . . . some say a cube after the hint of the Holy of Holies . . . some say a pyramid.

Some think it will be parked, suspended above earthly Jerusalem.

Regardless, for the REDEEMED, it will be far beyond what mortals have been able to imagine. PRAISE GOD!

“I’ve yet to see any dispensationalist explain the fact that there were only 12 Christians a mere 100 generations ago and now there are over two billion Christians.

Is that not progress? Isn’t that a positive vector?”

You forgot to add the evidence for the statement,”a mere 100 generations ago and now there are over two billion Christians” or the description of the sects constituting the researcher’s class, “Christians”?

But as an aside, you really don’t want to argue this way since during the time of the growth of Christianity and beginning app. 600 years later another “religion” was growing faster and today is the fastest growing “religion” while Christianity is seemingly losing ground and influence in all cultural spheres.

2 Cor. 4:16-18, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

God knows those that are His and they are always a remnant (the “many - few” principle).

I feel there is a pervasive undertone of self aggrandizement and humanism disguised as Godliness going on. Submission to the Holy Spirit in all things is lacking imo. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God” seems to take a back seat to “I’ll get it done”.

Certainly HE conquered all at the Cross and Resurrection.

Certainly in very real senses He IS ruling now.

However, it’s ALSO TRUE, that WHEN HE COMES . . .

He’ll be demonstrating active and overt residential ruling literally on site.

. . . which He is not doing MUCH of, at least not widely overtly, before then.

>> or the description of the sects constituting the researcher’s class, “Christians<<

I think Revelation tells us that even those who call themselves Christian are in jeopardy. The “spew you out” phrase should give many pause. That alone should tell us that all who call themselves Christian are not viewed in a good light by God Himself. Bragging about “the number of Christians” is rather weak imho.

Actually, that can truly be the case.

However, we are not surprised that

the uhhhhhhhh, constricted constitutions of

the Vatican Alice In Wonderland School Of Theology, Reality Mangling, Chronic Professional Blaming, Wailing and Whining Cult folks fail to discern such possibilities and realities.
