" ...deinde nos qui vivimus qui relinquimur simul rapiemur cum illis in nubibus obviam Domino in aera et sic semper cum Domino erimus.. -1 Thessalonians 4:17 (Latin Vulgate) "Thanks, Quix!! I've been looking for this particular line in Latin scripture...which references the "rapture".

Can you give an annotated commentary on it from your perspective?

Excellent Quix! So when is Enoch's birthday? ;)
To: Quix
I’ve heard JVI often say, that for those who declare the Bible does not mention the word “rapture”, they fail to mention the Latin reference “rapiemur”, which indeed means rapture.

>> “Are you guys date setting again?” <<
.
You’re the only one here setting any date.
We know from Paul’s epistles that it was the understanding of the founding church that the rapture would occur at the ‘last trump’ of the feast of trumpets, but this year would not even be in the running, since it is not a sabbath year.
Events are what matters, not dates, and the convergence of events with the times and seasons will be our clue, as “wise virgins.”
Of course those that deny the Lord’s ‘Times’ will be caught unawares, as the “foolish virgins.”
To: The Theophilus
>> “First off, has this feast of Tabernacles have any history of being observed by the Christian Church” <<
.
Yes. Had you ever taken the trouble to actually read and absorb what the epistles say, you would know that the founding church observed all of the ‘feasts.’
It is shameful that you call God’s word “gnosticism.”
To: Quix
Excellent, Quix! Thank you!

>> “Why are you attacking me?” <<

A better question is “Why do you attack God’s word as”Rapture nonsense?”
That is the work of the adversary.

I have no idea about Enoch’s birthday! I’m still trying to make it through the 2nd version of the Books of Enoch. LOL.

Boggles my mind. I guess they must think that God just let some of those words fall into His Bible by accident?
What cluelessness.

Far too plausible to dismiss out of hand, to me.

Sometimes I get the impression that
the REPLACEMENTARIANS
are the secular humanists of the ‘Christian’ world.
Anything supernatural either has to be relegated to 70AD or far, far, far off into the future.
What tripe.

he (Enoch)is also believed to have been "translated" (or "raptured") on his birthday. Since the Church was "born" on this day, one wonders if we, too, will be "raptured" on its birthday!
The reason I asked. ;) Of course, they are speaking 'tradition' about his translation being on his birthday.

Exactly!
but this year would not even be in the running, since it is not a sabbath year.
Never thought about the sabbath year aspect. Good info. What year coming up is?

Interesting.
I put no stock whatsoever into DATE setting.
I do believe we are to know the era, and maybe even the year or season as being HIGHLY LIKELY—TO WATCH AND BE SUPER READY.

Indeed.
Their personally assaultive derision is equal to or worse than anything the RC’s spew out.
Curious, that.
Though one is purportedly a former RC.
