WASHINGTON: All your horoscope predictions for the year 2011 are bound to be wrong. Why? Because the stars are not aligned as your astrologer thinks they are.
All zodiac signs Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius or Pisces were originally based on the constellation the sun was in the day you were born.
However, there is a major phenomenon that will disregard all this the Earth wobbles, a phenomenon called precession.
Over the 2,500 years or so since the zodiac was established, your sign has moved about a month relative to the sun and stars, reports Live Science.
The ancient Babylonians based the zodiac on which constellation the sun appeared to be in when a person was born. Since then, the moon's has exerted a gravitation pull on Earth, causing a "wobble" on its axis that has shifted the stars' alignment by about a month.
"Because of this change in the tilt, the Earth is over here and the sun is in a different constellation than it was 3,000 years ago when this study of the stars began," astronomer Parke Kunkle said. So your New Year resolutions may belong to someone else.
Without our moon the earth would have an 8 hour rotation giving us four hours of daylight and four hours of night.
Not to mention wild random seasonal fluctuations.
That was predicted in scripture.
Someplace.
Yeah, you.
In the post mentioned, you refer only to the bad stuff, the damning stuff. Not the salvation.
Sorry, but lots of folks AIN'T damned. True story.
Bummer if that disappoints you.
>> “Our Moon is VERY important to the general stability of things on this planet.” <<
.
Our oceans would be putrid swamps without the moon to keep them clean.
Is it Biblical Prophecy or Climate Change?
What do you believe?
Strange Claim: The Sun Rose 2 Days Early in Greenland..
Residents of a town on the western coast of Greenland may have seen the sun peek over the horizon 48 hours earlier than its usual arrival on Jan. 13, sparking speculation, and disagreements, over possible causes.
The town of Ilulissat sits just above the Arctic Circle, meaning its residents had been without any sunlight for a good chunk of the winter, and traditionally they’d expect to see their “first sunrise” on Jan. 13.

The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. (Joel 2:31)
Behold, the day of the Lord is coming ... the stars of heaven and their constellations will not flash forth their light; the sun will be dark when it rises and the moon will not shed its light. Thus I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity. (Isaiah 13: 9-11)
Come, tread, for the wine press is full; the vats overflow for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon grow dark and the stars lose their brightness. The Lord roars from Zion and utters His voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth tremble. (Joel 3: 13-16)
Being a rapture-fetishist means never having to say “Wow, was I ever off that time!” There’s always another end times just around the corner.
The rapture is solid scripture; denial of it is denial of scripture.
Everyone is a *Sinner* you thought otherwise?
I’ve always been interesting in finding out exactly where our Moon came from. I’ve read several plausible theories, but no one seems to absolutely know.
Interestingly enough, the wobble of the earth grows wilder as the moon moves away at about an inch per year.
Grenland’s ice is mostly growing, except for some volcanic heating in places.
I think it was just a few too many tips of the bottle for the few making the claim.
I’m not denying scripture. I’m denying the “Hey! Look! It’s the rapture!” stupidity.
The big crash theory seems to be the one with the most evidence to support it IMO.
Charles Darwin’s son came up with the spinoff theory but could never quite work the math to get it any closer than about 5000 miles from the surface of the earth. However he was correct that the moon is moving away.
So my Zodiac forecasts were good last year, but this year I need to, errm, spring forward or fall back? Must be a quick wobble!
I guess that I have no idea what you might be talking about then. The rapture will occur on Yom Terua, when the “day of the Lord” begins. Paul discusses it with the Thessalonians, and explains that they would not be in the dark about when it was due, while those less educated in the meaning of the feasts would be taken by surprise like a “thief in the night.”

Yes, only 25,960 years or so...
Probably a Cap depending on your b-day. We have moved about one whole sign upstream, depending on the constellations arc, since Babylonian times.
Yep, you’re right.
Jesus got up on that cross for nothing.
We’re ALL damned, just like you say.
Might as well rape babies, beat our mothers and blow through stoplights.
Everyone is damned, so what the heck?
LOL
