It isn't stupid, it's cunning.

Cast out a victim card and play it, knowing that the weak have short attention spans, are predisposed to the "underdog" and hopefully have a good income.

Got to know your target market.

I believe the LDS Articles of Faith. That is what I believe. You can post whatever you wish but the fact remains that the tenents of my faith are found in the LDS Articles of Faith which I dare not post - which I will never post again on this site - because of the disgusting, horrible way the anti Mormons mangle and desecrate them to fit their preconceived ideas.

Hum, lets see, you follow a fictional "prophet" and his made up from a patchwork of odd 18th century American myths religion that tell us that ancient Indians were descendants of the Jews (despite no DNA evidence at all of course), that there was a gigantic civilization in the Americas for which there is no record of, think there are dozens of gods, that Jesus is both the Son and the Father (a new one for today) as well as Jehovah of the OT, was born of a physical act between a man god and Mary, brother of Satan, one of 3 gods in a committee of gods and that a totally made up translation of an ancient Egyptian manuscript is scripture...

And we are sociopaths...

OK. We can post them any old time we feel like "desecrating". On that note, if you wanna talk about desecration, how many wives do mormons claim that Jesus had?

Are the Articles of Faith the only thing put out by the LDS Sandy?

Are there not multiple books of “Scripture”?

Are there not the Doctrine and Covenants?

Is there not the Gospel Priniples?

What of the very words of the “prophets” which from the Gospel Principles tell us come scripture as well?

Are you a 30% Mormon Sandy, do the rest of these things that can give more depth and indeed can contradict your beloved Creed (which is exactly what the Articles of Faith are ironically) matter not to you. If so you are an odd Mormon for “Jesus” himself as the head of the Church must support these things that you don't have the respect enough to accept as well.

And you say the Mormon “Jesus” is your savior Sandy?

You three appear to be the only LDS working the Mormonism threads today, so I'll ask you, how can the following self-contradicting assertions from your founder, Joseph Smith, be reconciled as rational teaching?...

I will go back to the beginning, before the world was, to show what kind of a being God is. What sort of a being was God in the beginning? Open your ears and hear, all ye ends of the earth; for I am going to prove it to you by the Bible, and to tell you the designs of God in relation to the human race, and why he interferes with the affairs of man. God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted Man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. That is the great secret. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 3, 1844)

If Smith says 'before the world was, yet he asserts the god of Mormonism was once a man, and that would have to be prior to becoming a god what 'world' that existed before the world was' could your prophet be teaching about? Whatever is taken by Smith as the ’beginning’, the Alpha point, Smith says god was a man BEFORE the alpha point of his godhood! That he, the Mormon god, "was once as we are now." We already know from the above quote that the godhead came even after the Mormon god was appointed. The Mormon god was no godhead in the beginning Smith portrays.

But I understand if you try to dodge the irrationality of it, because even Gordon B.Hinckley himself in a Time interview [http://www.ils.unc.edu/~unsworth/mormon/natureofgod.html] tried to dodge the irrationality of it, weaseling his position on belief or doubt over the stuff:

“And you say the Mormon “Jesus” is your savior Sandy? “

You are right in supposing that your Jesus is different from my Jesus. My Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, who loves me and accepts me; He suffered and died to save me from my sins. Apparently, your Jesus is different; your Jesus condemns me.

Sybil much???

The peurile hypocrisy and duplicity demonstrated in these comments is without equal.

You have had absolutely no problem jumping on bandwagons accusing anti-mormon FReepers of being complicit in murder and arson.

And when challenged on it, even confronted with the zot, you run and hide from your comments and behavior. Only to pop up again and cry foul.

And here you want to whip out your “persecution card”.

Sorry, no sale.

No, your decision to follow a false Christ does that.

Also thanks for not answering my questions about the remaining LDS information beyond the Creed you once posted here.

You inability to address the many flaws of Mormonism beyond the neat little box you allowed yourself to be talked into speaks volumes of your membership.

A little backtracking from your previous assertions Sandy?

In the Book of Mormon, Jesus brought death and destruction with him to the Cross. In 3 Nephi, Chapters 8 and 9, it details the events testifying of Christ's crucifixion. It describes the desolation of the great city of Zarahemla by fire, and the city of Moroni "did sink into the sea and the inhabitants thereof were drowned... the earth was carried up upon the city of Mornihah...there was great and terrible destruction in the land southward......terrible destruction in the land northward....the highways were broken up....many great and noble cities were sunk and many burned and many shaken till the buildings thereof had fallen to the earth.....all these great and terrible things were done in the space of three hours."

Here are links to the Official LdS BoM chapters that detail these events:

3 Nephi 8

3 Nephi 9

3 Nephi, Chapter 9, tells of further wrath as the Lord also destroyed the cities and inhabitants of Gigal, Onihah, Mocum, Jerusalem, Gadiandi, Gadiomnah, Jacob, Gimgimmo, Jacobugath, Laman, Josh, Gad, and Kishkumen. (a total of 16 major cities) Who did all this killing to testify of our Lord's atonement on Calvary?

3 Nephi 9:15 reveals the murderer of approximately 2 million innocent inhabitants of the Book of Mormon lands, "Behold, I am Jesus Christ the son of God. I created the heavens and the earth and all things that in them are." He adds, (in verse 21), "behold, I have come unto the world to bring redemption unto the world to save the world from sin." I guess the easiest way was to kill almost every living creature; at least the vast majority of that portion of his "other sheep have I." This Jesus was a god of wrath, exercising some form of Old Testament Judgment by the one who was supposed to be the end of the law.

The Biblical Jesus cried out to His Father,

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Source: Saints Alive

2 Cor.11:3-5 tells us that there will be those who would teach a different Christ. Paul says of them, "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ".

It is recorded in the BoM that the mormon christ massacred 100's of thousands men, women and children (possibly millions) and destroyed at least 16, if not more cities.

Yet the Christ of the Bible pleaded for Father to "...forgive them for they know not what they do."?

When He came back, "do not be afraid", "peace be upon you" recorded numerous times in the Bible. No hint whatsoever of Christ going on a murderous and destructive rampage in the ME.

I wonder, were there no evil folks in the ME for the Biblical Christ to destroy? Since the BoM is claiming all those poor souls the BoM christ destroyed were "evil" and without redemption, is it contended that all the folks in the ME were somehow, "special"?

Yes, Sandy, dear one, Jesus is Lord. He is not a polygamist like some teachers in Mormonism have taut, He was not sired as a spirit child of a god who ‘gained the attributes’ of godhood, He is not one-third of the troika of separate gods in a godhead, He is not the son of some appointed god appointed by a god council, He is I AM. That is His name, I AM. He is The Savior, He is The Grace of God in Christ. He is God, not ‘a god’, not one of many gods to come, He is I AM.
