Ever seen something like this? (Beck Rally)

Ever seen something like this?

Have you ever seen something like this in the Bible - God saying, "Go meet with the Baal worshippers' and arrange a huge rally, an ecumenical service - talk about honor and integrity and family values.. and you can pray to Me, of course, and they can pray to Baal - in fact, hold the priest of Baal's hand as he prays.. that will be such a nice touch.. and its quite ok with me.. I, the Lord your God, the holy One, really don't mind.. that's because it will show so much love to people and it will open hearts to My religion and everyone will so appreciate you not being closed minded elitist bigots. It will do wonders for people's view both of you and of Me. Go do this in My Name."?

Ever seen that? Even a hint of it? No? Me neither. - JS

God is not coming to American politics.

Seems God is running further away from it than ever as people dilute his faith, ignore or change his word and confuse tolerance with equity.

Sad for a country once shielded and embraced by his love.

What terrifies me are the people on this thread....hey Obama was elected....we are already under God’s Judgment.

So again I ask you, do you think the way to resolve this judgment, this spiritual bankruptcy you mentioned, is to embrace the enemies of Christ or paths that take people away from him and treat them as equally valid?

We have pretty much been doing that since mid last century. Hows that worked out for you?

There is one thing I agree with you on, we ain't seen nothing yet, and if we don't get our SPIRITUAL act together all the Obamas Marxists, socialist and Muslim are not going to matter.

You are so right...I sometimes read these posts just to see how deep the hate is toward Mormons.

Well; how DEEP is it?

Ephesians 4:14-15
 14.  Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
 15.  Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:15
So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings  we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

1 Timothy 1:7
They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

1 Timothy 2:7
And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle--I am telling the truth, I am not lying--and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.

1 Timothy 4:1-2
 1.  The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
 2.  Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.

1 Timothy 4:6
If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.

1 Timothy 4:11
  Command and teach these things.

1 Timothy 6:3-5
 3.  If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,
 4.  he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions
 5.  and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

 2 Timothy 2:15-17
 15.  Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
 16.  Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.
 17.  Their teaching will spread like gangrene.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
 16.  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
 17.  so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Titus 1:11
They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach--and that for the sake of dishonest gain.

Titus 2:1
You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.

Titus 2:15
These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.

 2 Peter 2:1-3
 1.  But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
 2.  Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
 3.  In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

2 John 1:10
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him.

I sometimes read these posts just to see how deep the hate is toward Mormons.

An interesting comment, one echoed a few times by people who I am sure are good Christians but have little understanding of the Mormon FAITH itself.

What is even odder is that people like me who abhor false doctrines, especially the ones in sheep's clothing (see LDS PR efforts) and are doing everything we can to expose the facts of MORMONISM are accused of being haters and bigots against Mormons. I expect such misrepresentation from the Mormon apologist themselves, it is SOP to confuse the two on purpose to generate sympathy, but from others I have to think it is from not understanding exactly what MormonISM is and what it stands for.

While I have little sympathy for the smooth operators, the ones who are benefiting from their efforts and controlling the cult of the LDS you and the others are very correct, sadly there are some very fine and wonderful people innocently caught up in the trap.

My question is what is more loving, a friendly wave and a thanks for being a political ally while leaving them to their disastrous fate out of fear of offending them, or fighting tooth and nail to expose the dressed up pretty evil that surrounds, embraces and confounds them.

Personally the irony is incredible, for this “evil anti” can think of NOTHING more hateful and bigoted than to let a good person walk straight into the arms of Satan himself without do a thing about it. If I hated some one that would be the ultimate expression of such.

Something to think about. Don't be offended, Christianity has been diluted in America the past 50 years and this “all paths are valid don't offend anyone including the Devil's own” has pervaded the sub conscious of a large number of Christians. It has confused tolerance with equity between all faiths and used the Bible against Christians such as perverting the meaning such concepts like "judge not" at the expense of very clear instructions to defend the faith and the faithful from the raving wolves...

I think if more people studied the BOM and Mormon doctrine, saw what it really said about our savior, how it perverts him and his mission, we would have more people joining the fight to save these good people from the trap they are in.

Sadly it seems in the days of Oprah Christianity, these verses have been scratched out of many folks Bibles.

Don’t want to offend the Devil you know...

Oprah is happy I guess.

Study Mormonism and you will. I am not kidding.

I'm not kidding... If you intend to address me again, take it to the other thread of perverted persecution...

One thread of this sickness is plenty for anyone with one iota of decency in them!

Perverted persecution...

Well you have the victim card bit down.

Even though you have been a bit coy about it, like is often the case here, I will now safely assume you are LDS.

I can understand your sickness comments. Being exposed to God's truth can cause those on other paths to feel a little ill. It is God's voice deep in the pit of your stomach, your conscience down deep inside going “you know they are right, it is displayed all around you, kick off the wolves...”

It has been that way for many, it is where it starts, ask SZonian about it. There is a way out.

But you will continue to resist for sometime, Evil’s hold is strong. I expect comments built from such in response such in response

Here is what I think people are missing. Christians are listening to Beck’s call to revival (primarily in their own lives first) but they are not looking to Beck for their doctrine.

How is that a problem? Beck has said he is not a pastor. I didn’t go the rally to be taught about God. To do that, I read my Bible and listen to my pastor.

***I didn’t go the rally to be taught about God.***

Was it a political rally or a spiritual rally?

Beck talked a lot about god during that rally, didn’t he? Did you feel a burning in the bosom when he talked?

It was a rally of renewal. Renewal of what what each person there already knew. And make no mistake, the vast majority of that crowd were Christians (not Mormons or Muslims or even Jews).

Actually, Beck's time behind the mic talking about God was not that substantial. But there were a lot of speakers who professed their faith in their Savior, Jesus Christ and not just the Christian pastor's (not Mormons) who prayed. Note, the only people to pray were Christian pastors (not Mormons or Muslims or even Jews).

Everyone in the crowd that I saw seemed to be very clear on their faith and weren't looking for answers from those behind the microphone.

Ultimately, I think Glenn will be drawn to the 600,000 rather than the crowd drawn to him. This rally was not about one person's message. Like the tea party, it seemed to be decentralized in that each person was their to make their own statement.

I actually do have some concerns about Glenn's intent. While I believe he is truly concerned about our future as a country and has genuine compassion for those he thinks will suffer, his focus seems to be temporal rather than eternal. For me, I strive to make my focus the glory of Christ and my eternal home. My circumstances will change, sometimes hard, sometimes not, and do not define me. This world is passing away.

And Beck was talking about the Mormon god*.

Even if he was talking about god* in a vague general sense it would have been a false god*.

The lack of discernment by American Christians is just appalling.

The irony here is that so called Christians went to hear a message of spiritual renewal, and yet by praying with an idolater, by cheering his call to god*, they may very well have called fire down on this country by the one true God.

thank God that God is in charge of the saving of America,

Well now...I'd love to know why you think God is saving America....it sure doesn't look that way to me....rather it does looks like He's done trying to turn this country away from the destructive moral and otherwise path it's been going down for years

...what we actually could say is He's saying .."Ok have it your way folks... and see how far it gets you"...

....and this is what we got for having it our way and not His.....we got Obama...we got enemies flocking in our borders...there are no borders...we got economic failure...we got leadership bowing to other nations...we got laws allowing killings in the womb...we got regulations and higher taxes...we got no jobs...we got manufacturing leaving this country...we got eastern religions entering our Christian fold...we got politicians crooks and liars...we got criminals going free...we got lawywers out to win the heck with truth...and we got a Government no longer by or for the people but for all the other nations outside itself.......that looks more like judgement than saving to me.....need I say more?
