OK. Scripture is meaningless when compared to the One Holy.......group of self appointed men.
I'm just following your lead boss. You raised the Arlen.
.
You wish!
.
“Are you queen of anything?”
“His posts do have a definite ‘Bawney Fwank’ flavor to them...”
These posts have all the seeming character of thinly-disguised, carefully finessed insults.
I don’t respect this genre of posting. It accomplishes nothing except a demonstration of nothing better to post than sarcasm (not noted as such) and disrespect of another poster on the FR religion forum.
With you here, we’re at the basement.
Going up...
.
I agree.
There is no excuse for what you posted.
And you are doing it again.
You are making this thread about a poster and you are insulting that poster.
Which are you, the pot or the kettle?

Well I think blessed means blessed, God blessed mary, she was not however Bless ed she was blessed
It does seem so..but every once in a while an actual regular Catholic will say something so absurd that they can not be anything but uninformed and willing to show it
The reason I think that the church has taught that is that they do not like the idea of the birth canal of Mary involved in anything after the birth of Christ..it all goes back to the whole Jewish "clean and unclean " laws..
One thing is certain.. even if that was true, or even if Mary became a prostitute after the birth..it has NOTHING to do with our salvation. Mary and her sexual life is not a question of import to our eternity
AMEN..this whole doctrine comes from Asceticism
I get what you're getting at, but I wonder why all the effort to do so. This kind of effort at knocking Mary down a peg - blessed not bless ed for example - tends to reduce the Incarnation and as a consequence deficient Christology and further problems with the Holy Trinity. Mary is the way through which God chose to make the Word become flesh. Separating off, reducing any part of it, reduces or diminishes the Incarnation - fundamental to the Christian faith.
Are you the one that said that "Jesus' body carried God."
There is no priesthood in the NT church .. The Levitical Priesthood was a type of Christ that was fulfilled by Christ, He is our final High Priest. In 70 AD God put an exclamation point on that fact when He destroyed the jewish Priesthood .. what the priest is, is deceived
Unfortunately there is no official, inspired magisterium commentary of the entire scriptures. Most of what one finds on the internet is simply one man's own personal interpretation of the scripture, not an official magisterium one .
Where He calls himself "the son of man "
You can not believe it because.." the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned."1Cr 2:14
Mark, unfortunately those that developed that reading and those that accept it, can not rightly divide Scripture they can not see the types and shadow of Christ, because they do not know who He is or how to find him.
On top of the ark was the mercy seat that was the seat of God.. the blood of the sacrifices was poured onto it as a propitiation for sin.. that ark was a type of Christ
Exd 25:21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which [are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
Look to Christ
And priests ...
It does seem so..but every once in a while an actual regular [Roman] Catholic will say something so absurd that they can not be anything but uninformed and willing to show it
I’ve noticed that.
A frightful thing to observe . . . quite akin to folks ‘sheltered’ in a cult.
