The ultimate intention of Catholicism is the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. That has always been the ambition, at least covertly, but now it is being promoted overtly and openly.
The purpose of this article is only to make that intention clear. It is not a criticism of Catholics or Catholicism (unless you happen to think a Catholic dictatorship is not a good thing).
The most important point is to understand that when a Catholic talks about liberty or freedom, it is not individual liberty that is meant, not the freedom to live one's life as a responsible individual with the freedom to believe as one chooses, not the freedom to pursue happiness, not the freedom to produce and keep what one has produced as their property. What Catholicism means by freedom, is freedom to be a Catholic, in obedience to the dictates of Rome.
The Intentions Made Plain
The following is from the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution:
"B. Catholic Culture and Civilization
"Therefore, the ideal of the Counter-Revolution is to restore and promote Catholic culture and civilization. This theme would not be sufficiently enunciated if it did not contain a definition of what we understand by Catholic culture and Catholic civilization. We realize that the terms civilization and culture are used in many different senses. Obviously, it is not our intention here to take a position on a question of terminology. We limit ourselves to using these words as relatively precise labels to indicate certain realities. We are more concerned with providing a sound idea of these realities than with debating terminology.
"A soul in the state of grace possesses all virtues to a greater or lesser degree. Illuminated by faith, it has the elements to form the only true vision of the universe.
"The fundamental element of Catholic culture is the vision of the universe elaborated according to the doctrine of the Church. This culture includes not only the learning, that is, the possession of the information needed for such an elaboration, but also the analysis and coordination of this information according to Catholic doctrine. This culture is not restricted to the theological, philosophical, or scientific field, but encompasses the breadth of human knowledge; it is reflected in the arts and implies the affirmation of values that permeate all aspects of life.
"Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church.
|
Got that? "Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church." The other name for this is called "totalitarianism," the complete rule of every aspect of life.
This book and WEB sites like that where it is found are spreading like wildfire. These people do not believe the hope of America is the restoration of the liberties the founders sought to guarantee, these people believe the only hope for America is Fatima. Really!
In Their Own Words
The following is from the site, "RealCatholicTV." It is a plain call for a "benevolent dictatorship, a Catholic monarch;" their own words. They even suggest that when the "Lord's Payer," is recited, it is just such a Catholic dictatorship that is being prayed for.

First, in this country, freedom of speech means that anyone may express any view no matter how much anyone else disagrees with that view, or is offended by it. I totally defend that meaning of freedom of speech.
This is what Catholics believe, and quite frankly, I do not see how any consistent Catholic could disagree with it, though I suspect some may. I have no objection to their promoting those views, because it is what they believe. Quite frankly I am delighted they are expressing them openly. For one thing, it makes it much easier to understand Catholic dialog, and what they mean by the words they use.
Secondly, I think if their views were actually implemented, it would mean the end true freedom, of course, but I do not believe there is any such danger.
Breathtaking. But be careful....There are a lot of names on the supersecret Vatican list....
You might want to rethink It's the Catholics on this thread who have been insisting (in the face of opposition from the Calvinists and possibly others) that God is love. . How are they insisting? Do their posts support that?
I know I've posted on it several times in this thread. I'm pretty sure stfassisi posted on it too. Kosta has also contributed the EO view. With over 13,000 posts, it's hard to remember everyone who might have.
Since you know God and have grown to know Him better, I have no doubt you understand how darkness hates light.
I know at least that he who says he loves God and "hates his brother" is, not to put too fine a point on it, a liar. And I still find it impossible to see how anyone reconcile the commandment to love one's neighbor with the doctrine of Total Depravity. Of course, I believe the commandment was given to be obeyed.
Wouldnt you think that lack would be cause for concern to a Christian?
The only concern I have is a lack of Scriptural knowledge of the four Gospels and Hebrews. That is the problem with most Bible Believers (tm). If there were real truth in advertising, you guys would be forced to call yourselves Bible Snippet Believers (tm), and not Bible Believers (tm).
Wasn’t 13,572 an admission?
you have quite the propensity for projecting vices onto people
Thanks, dear Dr. As one of “the OTHERS”, I’m CERTAIN you got my point...;)
Yes, there are some denominations who are now going this direction.... but as far as Confessing to anyone in the clergy.....I do not, have not, nor will I confess before anyone but Christ...he alone can forgive, empower, and is the only one who paid the price for my forgiveness.
Who said how we act does not affect our salvation?...it's because we are saved...”all things have become new in Christ”....our “action” was accepting that His work is finished, we are free because the son set us free, and for this our desire is for Him and what He might require us, which is always a choice. We can cooperate with His will for us and or oppose it. But the choice remains ours because we are free...free from the law which bound us to sin...we are now free to serve him and enjoy the relationship with Him he desires.
I would not attend a church that openly supports the sexual limits Christ established...nor have I attended such in the past. These are indeed sin and not for a church or Pastor to support.....
As for woman being in places of Ordination within a church...that has been an issue for years both in the Catholic church and the Protestant churches...I have no problem with a woman ‘temporarily’ filling a Pastors place if there are no men capable of doing so..but I do not support woman Pastors, nor would I attend a church which has ordained woman Pastors. That just is not going to happen for me..but I could see woman as teachers within the church but they must meet the requirements of a teacher to do so.... It is no secret the family of believers churches are under attack Wagglebee....no church is exempt now. All are getting hammered from within and without. Could very well be the "sifting" of Gods people from those who are not has begun...and what we are seeing these days.
Priests pray in public.
There are always plenty of people praying in public on Saturday afternoons doing their penance after their interrogation by the priests.
Or don't priests dole out penance any more?
Do people not go to Catholic churches to pray any more?
Jesus wasn't opposed to prayer in public.
Luke 18:9-To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other menrobbers, evildoers, adulterersor even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
Imagine that. The tax collector who prayed in the temple, in public no doubt since the pharisee saw him, was commended by Jesus. How does that fit in with your misinterpretation of Matthew 6?
Matthew 21:12 & 13 Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. "It is written," he said to them, " 'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a 'den of robbers.'"
How could Jesus call the temple a house of prayer for all nations if He taught against praying in public?
Do I? I'm sure that there is no vice that I could project onto the good Dr.
And no matter how you want to excuse it or justify your actions, you DID change the subject from why Protestants go to church to making it about prayer.
Does is bother you that we’re free in Christ while you’re in bondage to the dictates of a man-made religion?
That would make a great tagline.
I should have included you - since you were accused of something you didn’t do. Post # 13,613.
Really? What did I post that was information, rather than a question? Man up yourself and answer that question. The last one wasn’t.
Excellent reply!!!
*welfare was never meant to be a career choice.* It beats looking for work, and then one can post online 24/7
Well there is some truth is what you stated....It is true we can and do speak to God...thru His son, who is our mediator...and there is no need for a human between us. This opens the way for complete honesty with the Lord, nothing hidden and sharing with Him how we see whatever it is we are placing before Him.
However, A Priest cannot absolve me of sin...only Christ has that authority...the veil was torn in half opening the way for us to enter before God...the Priesthood was abolished by Christ himself as He fills the Position of our Great High Priest.
Further... The scriptures tell us He "loves the fruit of our lips." He desires and awaits for us to meet with Him and share our hearts and minds with Him.....................
.......... Christ said..."Come,... let us reason 'together', though your sins be as scarlet I shall make them white as snow".... He does wait to hear from us...and that is a beautiful inviting thing...it is a relationship with Him.
You've finally got my attention, Mark. After trying to avoid your idiotic, stupid and Scripturally-illiterate posts for awhile now, I find I must ping the RM to your filthy accusation.
Your cohort, Natural Law, said he had invented a drinking game called DRECK which called for a drink every time I used the term "Rome." I posted "Rome," and Natural Law responded with "Cheers." This, even after he told us his parents were both alcoholics.
So I posted to him Wikipedia's entry on "alcoholism." It doesn't look like the type of thing one should be joking about, especially considering the fact he is the child of alcoholics.
For the record, I do not drink. An occasional glass of white wine at New Years Eve puts me to sleep. I prefer caffeine.
Not that any of this is your business. But your ugly, lying, foul, disgusting remarks on this thread need to be called out for what they are -- insanity.
It's been brought to my attention you have recently lost your job. Perhaps that's why you post so belligerently. Who knows? I'm not a mind-reader. Just a reader. And your posts cross the line and break the rules of the FR Religion Forum over and over and over. You call everyone names and make really snotty personal comments. I've had dozens of FReepmails in the past few days wondering if you're trying to get the thread pulled, no doubt because the RC apologists here have given such a paltry defense of their faith.
I'll pray for your employment, Mark.
