The ultimate intention of Catholicism is the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. That has always been the ambition, at least covertly, but now it is being promoted overtly and openly.
The purpose of this article is only to make that intention clear. It is not a criticism of Catholics or Catholicism (unless you happen to think a Catholic dictatorship is not a good thing).
The most important point is to understand that when a Catholic talks about liberty or freedom, it is not individual liberty that is meant, not the freedom to live one's life as a responsible individual with the freedom to believe as one chooses, not the freedom to pursue happiness, not the freedom to produce and keep what one has produced as their property. What Catholicism means by freedom, is freedom to be a Catholic, in obedience to the dictates of Rome.
The Intentions Made Plain
The following is from the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution:
"B. Catholic Culture and Civilization
"Therefore, the ideal of the Counter-Revolution is to restore and promote Catholic culture and civilization. This theme would not be sufficiently enunciated if it did not contain a definition of what we understand by Catholic culture and Catholic civilization. We realize that the terms civilization and culture are used in many different senses. Obviously, it is not our intention here to take a position on a question of terminology. We limit ourselves to using these words as relatively precise labels to indicate certain realities. We are more concerned with providing a sound idea of these realities than with debating terminology.
"A soul in the state of grace possesses all virtues to a greater or lesser degree. Illuminated by faith, it has the elements to form the only true vision of the universe.
"The fundamental element of Catholic culture is the vision of the universe elaborated according to the doctrine of the Church. This culture includes not only the learning, that is, the possession of the information needed for such an elaboration, but also the analysis and coordination of this information according to Catholic doctrine. This culture is not restricted to the theological, philosophical, or scientific field, but encompasses the breadth of human knowledge; it is reflected in the arts and implies the affirmation of values that permeate all aspects of life.
"Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church.
|
Got that? "Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church." The other name for this is called "totalitarianism," the complete rule of every aspect of life.
This book and WEB sites like that where it is found are spreading like wildfire. These people do not believe the hope of America is the restoration of the liberties the founders sought to guarantee, these people believe the only hope for America is Fatima. Really!
In Their Own Words
The following is from the site, "RealCatholicTV." It is a plain call for a "benevolent dictatorship, a Catholic monarch;" their own words. They even suggest that when the "Lord's Payer," is recited, it is just such a Catholic dictatorship that is being prayed for.

First, in this country, freedom of speech means that anyone may express any view no matter how much anyone else disagrees with that view, or is offended by it. I totally defend that meaning of freedom of speech.
This is what Catholics believe, and quite frankly, I do not see how any consistent Catholic could disagree with it, though I suspect some may. I have no objection to their promoting those views, because it is what they believe. Quite frankly I am delighted they are expressing them openly. For one thing, it makes it much easier to understand Catholic dialog, and what they mean by the words they use.
Secondly, I think if their views were actually implemented, it would mean the end true freedom, of course, but I do not believe there is any such danger.
;-)
yes, that old bugaboo, which is why I waited 2 days for Catholics to explain it all to us on this thread. After no one would come forward, I found the Charismatic Catholic Renewal sites on the web, and I read about 20 or more with references. And don’t tell me it’s all antiCatholic nonsense. 140 million, and growing. Each seeking a relationship with Christ that the traditional church can’t or wont give them. Each their own pope.
Your reply is just another shameless Catholic strawman.
I know that you’re intelligent enough to discern the difference between the two situations.
.
As members of the body of Christ we, corporately and individually, here on earth or in heaven above, are supremely authorized as intercessors. No intercession of ours, of our Lady, of anyone at all has any authority except because and unless it is made in and through Christ.
But it is so made, and therefore we intercede and ask for intercession.
Smoke screen!

...and then people wonder why there is such divisions in the church family. These speak of “traditions” Christ spoke strongly against “traditions of men”.
Rid the churches of these “traditions” and we just might know the truth as Christ intends we do...or at least lesson the significance of as long as not in direct opposition to His word. said to Christ......"Why do your disciples break the 'tradition's of the elders?"
Jesus replied...."why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?"...."Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:......These people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men."
Good post...thanks..insightful and correct.
Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. (Psa. 103:20)
They watch over the righteous
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; (Psa. 91:11)The execute Gods righteous judgement
He unleashed against them his hot anger, his wrath, indignation and hostility -- a band of destroying angels. (Psa. 78:49)
This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mat 13:49,50)
Angels watch God interact with men and show mercy and grace..
For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men. (1 Cor 4:9)
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? (Heb 1:14)
So many think that angels are superior to men in Gods sight... that just is not true
Do not attempt to make the thread about a specific poster. That's against the rules, and 1000 silverlings will make a joke out of it. Tsk tsk.
You are pleading with God on behalf of someone else. You are interceeding.
So, His death on the Cross was NOT for the sins of the Reformed and/or elect?
rn “I am not sure that counts for Catholics” —> what is it? Are you sure it counts or not? If you are as much an “ekspert” on Catholicism as your posts do seem to indicate you saying, which one is it?
Wow! ANOTHER shot out of the blue! Who saw THAT coming?
;-)
Despite what they tell you, we Catholics do read our Bibles. Some of us read them a lot. I say this, because texts like this one and 1 Tim 2:5 are presented as somehow conclusive in themselves and the suggestion is that we must have not heard or read them before, because if we had, we would see the error of our ways.
But we have heard and read them before. And we find that they are not as conclusive as you seem to think.
It is not clear that ALL traditions are "traditions of men, just as it is not clear that all repetition is "vain repetition" or undertaken with the hope that the person doing the repeating will be heard because of the number of words.
So it is not clear that all traditions and all repetitive prayer are to be rejected.
And they know this how? Channeling? Divination? Ooops.
The whole “this means this”, “that may be what it SAYS but that’s not what God meant”, “you can’t take that literally”, “this is literal”. I’m so cornfuzed by all of it. Talk about YOPIOS...
In the scriptiures..it is not our definition that matters..it is what God says matters
Exd 20:4 ¶ Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
Exd 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
Exd 23:24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
Lev 26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up [any] image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I [am] the LORD your God.
But maryz, referring to Cowper, suggests that there are all too many instances of our truly worshipping creatures. The parent who puts all his hope for joy in his child, the politician who thinks power can bring true happiness, any one of us when we think that winning a huge lottery prize would 'solve all his problems, to me THESE are the folks with idolatry issues.
One sin does not mitigate another it is simply an excuse...
The few Catholic charismatics I have known in real life are the most Marian people I have ever known. For instance These people who seem to have finally given up. Or This thing of which I will say nothing. I even know some trentecostals. If you're expecting those alleged 140 million Catholic charismatics (and the numbers wouldn't surprise me at all) to come flooding into pentecostal congregations be advised (as much as I would like to ship them ALL off to you) they will be bringing their statues, rosaries, icons, prayer books and who knows what else with them.
Not really. Why don’t you come to a REAL Christ-filled Church, the Church founded by Christ, protected by the Holy Spirit? You can come and experience a personal relationship with Christ in His Church. You can come and be saved in the Biblical way. Come, come to Christ through His Church, the One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church
So are all of you just going to ignore the truth that your old traditional church is fractured? Your world wide growth is in Catholic Pentecostalism and it's a real movement. The clergy is getting married too, so which is correct, all of them, none of them, some of them, and how do you know? Even the popes don't know.
