Metmom has had allergies and food allergies her entire life. In the last few years they have gotten steadily and progressively worse. Foods have been dropping out of her diet until she reached the point she is at now and can only eat rice, chicken, lamb, and venison. Anything else causes her to react rather destructively, debilitatingly.
The problem is that the repeated continual exposure to the few remaining foods, could lead to a sensitivity to those as well, which has just happened to two foods she had been safely eating since October.
There are options for nutrition should she start to react to all foods, but they are used only in the most dire situations. She's concerned about reaching that point--and frankly has been feeling more than a little discouraged by all such.
She has undergone extensive medical testing which has all been inconclusive. Almost everything comes back normal or negative, and the few things that she does test positive for arent what causes her the most problems.
She is attempting to get into a regional medical center for more specialized medical evaluation to see if they can determine the cause and possible treatment, if any exists.
She has been prayed for and anointed numerous times over the years, however, she would appreciated continued prayer for complete healing.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND HER PLIGHT with as much empathy as you can. She's been through a 1,001 suggestions and tried a LOT of different things. She's been through the Henry Wright seminar and prayers extensively. I don't think she is quite up to handling any more suggestions currently. Those who've been through such can understand such a feeling. She just greatly would appreciate your understanding and PARTICULARLY YOUR CARING PRAYERS.
This summary is per my understanding and might be stated somewhat differently were she writing it herself. I believe she'd affirm the truth of what I've said but these are essentially my words.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PRAYERS.
Yeah, not much has changed except for finding out about the sea salt.
That may be an improvement in that I may be able to eat more than I thought, but I’m still not healed, which is the best thing.
I’m reading through Henry Wright’s book, A More Excellent Way, and going to be listening to his online seminar yet again.
I know of somebody who had a problem just like this. Out of frustration from the doctors just not finding anything, she decided a diet approach. She stopped eating meat all together and went on a organic plant diet. Nearly all of her symptoms disappeared. She discovered that it was the drugs in the meat that are given to the animals to produce more, and the insecticides that are used to spray on the veggies and other plants that was making her sick. This could be MetMom’s case as well.
Praying for you and your family MM.
Thank you.
I have an appointment in Boston coming up in a couple weeks. Maybe that doctor can figure out what’s causing the problem.
Continuing to pray for you. Spiritual healing as well as physical healing. They are connected in most cases.
Yeah, I know. Thank you.
METMOM, PING TO REFERENT POST BY LEMONDROPKID31;
Vegetables are my worst problem. I break out so bad from them.
Sorry to hear of your condition. I disagree with most of what I’ve seen you post, but wish you no ill will.
Have you ever tried dandelion/liver detox teas? I did a 1 month course of those a about 6 months ago that did wonders for me. In addition to bringing my liver function numbers down to normal levels for the first time in years, as a bonus my food sensitivities that had been making me more and miserable with a growing range of foods completely went away. Apparently liver irritation can contribute to food allergies. Don’t know if my experience applies, but figured I would offer it in case it might help.
Disagree with what?
I’ve had these problems my entire life, to varying degrees.
I’ve grown my own organic vegetables and still can’t eat them.
This is me and my body and how it reacts. Sorry it doesn’t fit with the rest of the natural health mentality but they have no more answers for someone in my position than the medical community.
I was born into a Catholic family and baptized and raised a Catholic. I understand what I criticize, but this thread is not about Catholicism. If you want to take it up, do so somewhere else.
Goodness. What a disappointment to grow your own and not be able to eat them.
I love gardening and canning, and besides, my family can eat them. I like being able to provide them with good quality food for their well being.
And there’s always the neighbors I can bless with fresh produce.
Certainly yea for all that.
Mother’s old pressure cooker canner is still around.
We’d have to get a new seal, I’m sure.
What about the pressure valve thingy on top. That need replaced? Should we just get a whole new package?
All pressure canners are different. I have one that does not have a gasket, it’s a metal to metal seal.
There are pressure canners and pressure cookers. If you want to pressure can, you need the canner, which can also cook. Cookers can’t necessarily can.
Yes, new seals and stuff would be good. Rubber tends to dry out with age anyway, but with the kind of heat that pressure cooker/canners produce, that’s going to happen even faster.
Do you have a co-operative extension nearby? They can help.
Yeah, we have County Extension here that’s always been good.
Thx.
Yeah, we have County Extension here that’s always been good.
Thx.

I did not reject it our of hand. I haven’t been able to do teas in years. I’m allergic to virtually all plant material, save oats and mushrooms. I can eat some meats and my liver function and enzymes, which have been tested several times, have all come back just fine, like every other test I’ve had.
Most of the problems people attribute food allergies to were not an issue for me as an infant. If this had developed later in life, all those natural health solutions might have some merit. Don’t think that there’s much I don’t know about this and what the standard boilerplate answers to it are.
