MetMom Serious Prayer Need--EATING threatened [Update @560]
Curious space between Quix's ears & consulatations w MetMom | 18 AUG 2010 | Quix

Posted on 08/21/2010 9:18:48 PM PDT by Quix

Metmom has had allergies and food allergies her entire life. In the last few years they have gotten steadily and progressively worse. Foods have been dropping out of her diet until she reached the point she is at now and can only eat rice, chicken, lamb, and venison. Anything else causes her to react rather destructively, debilitatingly.

The problem is that the repeated continual exposure to the few remaining foods, could lead to a sensitivity to those as well, which has just happened to two foods she had been safely eating since October.

There are options for nutrition should she start to react to all foods, but they are used only in the most dire situations. She's concerned about reaching that point--and frankly has been feeling more than a little discouraged by all such.

She has undergone extensive medical testing which has all been inconclusive. Almost everything comes back normal or negative, and the few things that she does test positive for aren’t what causes her the most problems.

She is attempting to get into a regional medical center for more specialized medical evaluation to see if they can determine the cause and possible treatment, if any exists.

She has been prayed for and anointed numerous times over the years, however, she would appreciated continued prayer for complete healing.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND HER PLIGHT with as much empathy as you can. She's been through a 1,001 suggestions and tried a LOT of different things. She's been through the Henry Wright seminar and prayers extensively. I don't think she is quite up to handling any more suggestions currently. Those who've been through such can understand such a feeling. She just greatly would appreciate your understanding and PARTICULARLY YOUR CARING PRAYERS.

This summary is per my understanding and might be stated somewhat differently were she writing it herself. I believe she'd affirm the truth of what I've said but these are essentially my words.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PRAYERS.

I hate it when I run my eyeteeth through my lower lip too. Little bit of fat over the years has helped reduce the degree of injury.

Thank goodness all these things are NORMAL.

The seminar wasn’t at their place. It was locally and I didn’t really get a chance to talk to any one.

What he says makes sense. There are a few things he says that I disagree with.

The people who go on the faith tangent, where you just have to have enough faith, kind of rankle. Jesus said that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we could move mountains.

IMO, it’s not how much faith we have but the powerful God we have faith in. He remembers our frame, that we are dust.

Being allergic to duck would be no hardship.

Wine is high in sulfites and histamine. Flushing is a sign of allergies so it could be one of those factors.

But if you are allergic to some weird thing, like duck, watch out for “turkey” bacon. high in msg and they make it out of duck for the leanness and don’t label it. it almost killed me

I don’t trust anything.

I make all my own foods and stuff. Right now, I’m harvesting the best crop of tomatoes I’ve ever seen and making sauce out of them.

I KNOW what’s in that.

yes, unfortunately we can not trust anyone, even our own government. Never eat anything from china, that’s rule number one. And....Never eat anything you have no idea where it’s from.

I used to subscribe and visited their website where one could get counsel etc.

I tried to interest them in some research.

I think they were swamped or something. I never succeeded in much dialogue. I guess the phone contacts are quite productive for some.

I know what you mean about the faith harrangers .

I think Curry Blake is different somehow but it’s hard to put into words. He’s real down to earth and practical.

thank you for posting that-I have celiac disease and just had to come off of a chicken/rice diet due to anemia..just this past Saturday actually. I was so weak I couldn’t drive or wash my hair!
I have inflammation in my entire body-even my cells-and they don’t know if it’s just from the gluten (been GF since March) or something else...getting food allergy tests back in a couple of weeks.

I will certainly try ostrich meat; iron suppls make me want to hurl and I don’t want to eat beef everyday either.

Thank you so much!

Restaurants cook pancakes on the grill. Others drop breaded potato things into the french fryer. I found a place that puts finely ground cracker crumbs in the oil and/or vinegar for sandwiches (Italian style).

Anyway, good morning folks. Spouse is away taking care of her elderly parents ~ and I've been recuperating from the eye surgery. This has given me a chance to experiment with an all meat, all rice (and tapioca) diet, no veggies ~ and it's great.

Yesterday and the day before I ate a chicken. Day before that I ate salmon. Day before that I ate shrimp. Day before that salmon. Then a steak.

One place I bought ostrich and elk meat is in Bloomington Illinois near the university. At the time the store was called "The Meat Shop".

Still, there are guys all over the Midwest who do wholesale vending of elk, buffalo and ostrich ~ all high iron content good tasting meats. The Eastern states are a bit tight. In the West it's always a long way from the cities to where these folks do business, but mail order is available.

Fudruckers sells an Ostrich burger. It's very good, and has three times the iron.

Again, sublingual B12, "it's what you need" (a joke, think of "Idiocracy" the movie).

Anyway, the sun is out, sky is clear, and I'm stuck in the house a couple more weeks so I don't get bumped by anyone or anything. Could be some canned tuna in my future today!

What do you do with tapioca?

It’s something different and I’d like to give it a try.
