CHRISTIANS ARRESTED at Arab Festival

A trial date has been set for September 16th in District Court in Dearborn, Michigan with four Christians charged with breach of the peace after they tried to share their Christian faith to Muslims at the June 18th International Arab festival.

As the four were taken off to jail, many in the crowd shouted "Allah Akbar" as the four were placed in handcuffs. Robert Muise of the Thomas More Law Center says there is the very strong possibility that a federal Civil Rights case will be filed on behalf of the four Christians.

Muise also says, "It's evident that the Dearborn Police Department was more interested in placating Muslims than obeying the U-S Constitution."

State Representative Tom McMillin of Rochester Hills, Michigan has called on Michigan’s Attorney General Mike Cox to investigate the arrest of the Christians, who were exercising their First Amendment rights on public property.

Asa fellow Catholic your lack of respect for Christ’s Great Commission to ‘Teach all Nations’ makes me sad. As a ‘fellow’? conservative your lack of respect for the civil rights of all Americans makes me sadder.

First, I never said that Islam does have an undisputed claim on the Arabs. Second, not everyone belongs to the Lord. Only those who know Him as Savior are called His children.

I said that Christianity must be eradicated as much as possible from the face of the earth for the Antichrist to take power.

During the Tribulation it will be a crime punishable by death to be a Christian - no matter what the Christian's ethnicity may be.

They do it all of the time in many large cities. Not only that they threaten violence against Christians and Whites.

Good example is the video of samir shabazz at the street festival in Philly where he was talking about killing Crackas and their babies.

If it's on private property you can ask anyone to leave. If it's in public and you don't want to be bothered you just walk away. If they follow you and continue then call the police.

Having read many posts so far,I feel a creeping Fascism in Free Republic of late...

Hope it's just election time on line subversion by covert Soros operatives who have purchased established Freeper accounts and not the anti-conservative backsliding of the faithful.

I’m not so much in agreement with your stated end times beliefs...though I agree that living like a true Christian will likely remain a crime punishable by death in the eyes of some people - just as it has been throughout history.

Of course, in the end “...every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord...”

Shouldn’t it be called a muslim festival? Arabs are Christians and Jews, too. So why shouldn’t Christians be allowed to give witness at an Arab event? It is sharia that doesn’t allow proselytizing or witnessing. Besides all muslims are descendants of Jews & Christians whether they like it or not, they are only muslim because their ancestors feared the sword of the evil one not because they chose to be.

That's right- the time will definitely come when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

However, just as we take that Scripture literally, we need to take the prophetic Scripture literally as well.

The Bible tells us that there will be a seven-year period of time called the "Tribulation" during which there will be an Antichrist who will rule over the entire world and who will behead those who refuse to swear allegiance to him and who choose to follow Jesus Christ.

The fact of the increased attacks on Christianity in this country, the increased criminalization of Christianity, and the fact that the rights of Christians in this country are systematically being taken away, is evidence that this world is preparing itself for the Beast who will come and whose rule will include the killing of those who are called by Christ's name.

Pardon me, get your wording correct, I believe you mean muslim not Arab. Not all Arabs are muslim. Many Arabs are Christian and Jewish and these are the Arabs who live constantly under the threat of the sword of sharia. So not allowing non-Arab Christians to give testimony in a non-threatening way is akin to sharia.

“If a bunch of Muslims crashed my party”
It wasn’t a party, it was a public and advertised festival.
It wasn’t in a private residence, it was on public land.
The Christians constitutional rights were probably violated.
If that does not concern you, I am sorry for you.

“I guess I would wonder how Christians would feel if Arabs would go into a Christian Church to give out Arab stuff”

It wasn’t in a private building, it was in the street.
THE STREET, THEY WERE ARRESTED FOR HANDING OUT LITERATURE IN THE STREET! Literature the Arabs did not like.

The Christians had their freedom of speech suppressed. Sorry our rights as laid out in the constitution offend you.

I am sure there is a much much better country to live in where you could be insulated from the thoughts of others.

Giovanna, I think that perhaps some of the prophetic scripture is not taken rightfully divided in many end times interpretations ... your synopsis:

“...The Bible tells us that there will be a seven-year period of time called the “Tribulation” during which there will be an Antichrist who will rule over the entire world and who will behead those who refuse to swear allegiance to him and who choose to follow Jesus Christ...”

...pieces together concepts from different parts of the scriptures. Your interpretation may be true, but, IT’S NOT A SLAM DUNK.

I think there are other scenarios possible for America, and the Church in America, than what you have offered that the scriptures do not prohibit.

Well, God said what He said, and the signs He gave for His return are in the process of coming to pass. And I must tell you, this is the first time I've ever seen someone say that because the Bible has prophetic Scripture in different places then we have to question whether it's true or not.

That definitely is a first.

There will be many people who get the surprise of all eternity simply because they refused to believe what God said.

Such a waste and so sad.

You got me. I hope the Muslims come into your festival and give out all this crap. I bet a million dollars you would not appreciate it and probably call the police on them.....lol

You are far from the Kingdom of God. Those who are close to the Lord and Savior would rejoice that muslims came to a Christian festival, for they would have an opportunity to share the wonderful news that Jesus died for the sins of muslims too.

I don’t recall questioning whether the Scripture is true or not. I do question, though, the various ways that various scriptures are woven together. There seem to be different end times interpretations that purport to be based on Scripture. Certainly, conflicting views can’t all be true.

Certainly, conflicting views can’t all be true.

That's right. So when I look at world events, and I see that they correspond with the signs Christ gave for world conditions before His return, I have to know that the "interpretation" which says that when all the signs Christ told us are happening all at the same time, then that is the generation during which Christ will return.

So unless things change drastically, and all the signs which are actively occurring suddenly come to a screeching halt, in the interest of simple common sense I'll have to stick with the "interpretation" that is validated by everything that is happening in our world, in our generation.

The end times have been conjectured according to the reading of world events in many time frames.

Whether or not we are “the terminal generation” or that generation is a hundred or a thousand years hence, consider the parable of Jesus: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three pecks of flour until it was all leavened.”

I’ve been challenged to believe in the expansion of God’s kingdom and to work for it - regardless of how hidden it may be by world events.

Well, Jesus did say that His kingdom is not of this world and that is something that all of us need to remember.

So it's probably a big, useless risk to ignore and brush under the rug the fact that we are living in the last hours of this age to try to build something on this earth that will never happen. It is foolish to ignore and discard the prophetic Scriptures, especially if one is a Christian as Christians have been commanded by Christ to watch for His return, to engage in "building" something that Jesus never told us to do and said will not happen.

Christians are to keep witnessing to those who are unsaved, and even more so as the day of the Rapture grows closer. We are to continue in the Great Commission until Jesus takes us out of here before He sends judgment.

God's kingdom is not hidden - God talks about His kingdom in the book of Revelation and throughout His Scripture- but nowhere does God say that we are to "expand" any "kingdom" here. Jesus will establish His own Millennial Kingdom after the Tribulation- He never once told any human to attempt to build or expand any non-existent "kingdom" He will never have here this side of the Tribulation.

Non-existent kingdom??? So Jesus was jiving us when He said, “And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

And we are to witness to what?...the ineffectiveness of God and his power to transform men? and cultures? Doesn’t obedience to God and His law bring about blessings that are tangible?
