Well known and admired 108 year old Rabbi reveals the Messiah's name!
I hope everyone is having a happy 4th!
Oh, to be certain! And I can link 1848-'67 to prophecy quite easily.
It is the war itself. It simply rings out, and should be found in the prophecy... But I cannot get the dates to line up, and no real good candidates or episodes (without dates) raise their heads... I am missing something.
I'm interested!
Yes... I got the point... sorry to hit you with YASB (yet another sidebar). But then again, the whole matter of his binding is another ball of wax, and the evidence thereof, and the evidence of his loosing...
I have made the point several times that only the Five Books of Moses were written directly by G-d. Everything else in the Bible had to be canonized by a human authority (the Men of the Great Assembly canonized the Prophets and Writings; the Catholic/Orthodox Church canonized the "new testament). If you accept the canonicity of these books you should accept the authority of the canonizing body. But you apparently believe a big hand came out of the sky and gave Moses the complete Protestant bible all at once.
How do you prove the "new testament" belongs in the Bible at all? In fact, how do you know to believe in the Bible at all? It has to be authorized by an authority external to itself (G-d) or else it has no more meaning than the koran or the book of mormon.
There is certainly no reasoning involved. I'll give you that.
And there shouldn't be and you should know that.
No I didn't. There is no reason to believe in G-d at all; one just does so for no reason whatsoever. Thanks for clearing that up. [/sarcasm]
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (REASONING)
Just believe in chr*stianity for no reason whatsoever. Well, at least you're honest enough to admit there is no reason for it.
The proof is in the prophecy.
Don't be, just be patient while I get up to speed. The more YASB's the better. I know for me I end up looking at things I hadn't thought of.
But then again, the whole matter of his binding is another ball of wax,...
That and Romans 11 convinced me I was wrong in my understanding of the end times.
How do you prove the "new testament" belongs in the Bible at all? In fact, how do you know to believe in the Bible at all? It has to be authorized by an authority external to itself (G-d) or else it has no more meaning than the koran or the book of mormon.
The proof is in the prophecy.
No it isn't. If it isn't authorized by the Torah, it is illegitimate.
The only reason you believe the "new testament" fulfills prophecy is because it says it does. But what if it's wrong? How do you know the "new testament" is the word of G-d at all and thus to be believed when it claims to be a fulfillment of prophecy?
I could write a religious book and have it claim to be a fulfillment of prophecy, fcol.
Moses and Paul both claimed to get their messages from direct revelations from God. Face to face and mouth to mouth.
Well put.
Thx thx.
Aha! Welcome, fellow traveler!
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Israel is the key - and always has been. Makes it hard to follow Replacement Theology, eh?
As to the binding of satan, when do you think that happened, and how does it tie into the fallen angels bound in Genesis?
It makes Replacement Theology the doctrine of devils that it is.
Whose going to tell Obozo he isn’t the one!!!
WELL PUT.
THX.
MANY puzzle pieces contributed to each one of us accepting Jesus as our Savior . . .
from Scripture to parents to aunts to uncles to grandparents to friends at school to pastors to Sunday School teachers to movies to books to TV shows to traumas to dreams to visions . . .
I’m not about to tell God Almighty what HE CANNOT USE to bring folks to Himself. Particularly those of the seed of Jacob.
EXCELLENT.
THX.
SAVING.
Preterists, REPLACEMENTARIANS et al must turn their brains off when they get to Romans 11.
NOPE.
Not merely because the NT says so.
We can read unrubberized histories.
With The Old Testament.
That’s sufficient.
Then is it your opinion that the prophets of Israel are illegitimate?
The whole of the Hebrew Bible is not authorized by the Torah.
The only reason you believe the "new testament" fulfills prophecy is because it says it does. But what if it's wrong?
To the contrary. I spend more time in the Old Covenant than I do in the New. It is the first Covenant prophets that i refer to.
How do you know the "new testament" is the word of G-d at all and thus to be believed when it claims to be a fulfillment of prophecy?
each book, any book of any kind is not made holy by some canonization process, be it Judaic or Christian. God's "signature" is on His scribes, and on His prophets. Word is entwined with Prophecy, and each bears witness to the other.
From there, it must be built upon the foundation of the Torah, and the Prophets. New cannot disregard old, or make it null.
This method defies the Koran and the Book of Mormon, but it does not deny the New Covenant. At least, not in my opinion.
