When folks

refuse

to believe plain Scripture,

I have no hope that they will believe someone else who believes plain Scripture.

"In my own construction on reality, it is quite possible for fantasies, ideas, doctrines, beliefs to be fostered by demonic forces and yet held by folks who still trust Jesus for their Salvation. I certainly don’t recommend it. But it is possible."

You're quite right on that and the fact is none of us are immune from what you describe.

I think the enemy would be having a real guffaw at this thread.I think you'll find you have more in common than it might appear.

The following was posted here about 10 years back...

"...I am convinced (but not yet dogmatically so) that the message in the Book of Revelation is not for Gentile Christians (we will be taken out of harm’s way) but for Great Tribulation Jews..."

That doesn't sound to me to be within a million miles of anything resembling Preterism and yet the poster is being accused of being just that,a Preterist.(Unless of course Stingray has changed his mind)

I can understand why Quix and GN have jumped hard at anything resembling Preterism and I can understand why Stingray has reacted to the perceived jihad in his direction but the way it's been gone about here is not productive to say the least.

In this day and age we live in, we, as christians are really going to cop hell before we are gone.Yes...hell...and we who are all standing on that same Rock should at least try to not be pushing and shoving each other.

I know all you folks know this but it bears repeating, this is not a game.

I think I get your drift.

However, I’d love to see you try again with different words.

I've never found Dr. Ice to be in Biblical error in any of his writings.

However, I have been treated to endless twisting and denial and allegorizing and redefining of Scripture by replacement theologians, preterists, amillennialists, and so forth and so on.

When are you going to ease off of your arrogance and contempt towards the Saints of God? Who are you to say that the greatest theologians in the past two thousand years are "endlessly twisting" the Scriptures? Exactly what are your credentials to determine if someone is "endlessly twisting" Scripture? Have you published any papers that substantiate your ability to handle the original languages, properly exegete a passage, offer coherent lower criticism on the received texts or are you completely relying on random sensationalistic crap you find posted on the internet, and from hyperventilating hosts on The Blasphemers Network (TBN) for the basis of your religious opinions?

Are you saying that Hal Lindsey is one of the greatest expositor of Ezekiel, Daniel, the Gospels and Revelation just because he thinks locusts are Apache helicopters?

Are St. Paul, Augustine, Calvin, Aquinas, Luther, Owens, Edwards, Spurgeon, Hodge, Barnes, et al all guilty of massive "denial, allegorizing and redefining Scripture"? Is everyone a demon who doesn't subscribe to the heresy of Dispensationalism? We need to know if you reject sound biblical teaching, the creeds and confessions and prefer the wild fables and false teachings of contemporary TV evangelists and scammers.

As a quick and simple test of your exemplarly skills in biblical interpretation and exposition, please, for all of us rubes, liars and heretics, please define the pejorative "Replacement Theologians" and identify anyone here who fits that definition. (I seriously doubt you can) Otherwise, for sake of common decency and civility, lay off the insults there is absolutely nothing charitable nor Christian about your invective.

Dispensationalism has been traced to the early Church.

Prove it, or admit that you lied.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

BTW, the Greek word used in John 3:16 is “Kosmos”, not “Oikumene.” Make it your homework to understand the difference.

"...try again with different words."

< smile >

I suppose I could brother but to be honest while I was writing my post all I could think was 'you're a fine one to tell anyone anything' so it was hard enough as it was.

God bless and keep us all.

WE ARE in the Gospel of the Grace of God era

Complete this sentence from Genesis 6:8 "Noah found _______ in the eyes of the LORD."

Gal 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain."

Unless Paul is lying, then no one prior to the Cross will be found in Heaven.

Grace began in The Garden. (please, no supra/infra food fights here)

I may get to those irrational, UNBiblical assertions tomorrow. I have a number of other priorities. No promises

I'll make it easy on you, just show how any of what I posted is simply "irrational". I know for a fact you can't make the "unbiblical asssertion" stick.

I thought you did a credible job. And I usually am edified by your postings. I just felt that before I tried much of a meaningful response, I should be clearer about what you really meant, were really saying.

Heading to bed. God be with you and yours.

You conveniently avoid the fact that I gave you Strongs definitions for the word. There was MORE than 1. More than yours.

Next, if you would have read the verses that I sent you, it would have been pretty obvious that the Roman empire WAS NOT implied.

It looks to me, that given multiple options of definitions, and differing contexts, and your refusal to even study the texts or admit differing meanings, shows you are the one interpreting scripture through the eyes of bias

I would love to have a calm, reasoned discussion on these issues with anyone who would like to do so. If you’d like to drop a line on the links I posted from Wordpress, I’ll discuss this all with you there.

No name-calling, label-slinging, or all-caps posts allowed. :)

the Holy Spirit? No. He will be here all through the tribulation and forever

Good luck proving that one - unless, of course, when you refer to "The Tribulation" you are refering to a indefinite period of time where the Saints of God are weathering along until the Parousia

I would think that you would have some violence against the doctrine of the Trinity by keeping the Paraclete on earth among the reprobate while the alleged wedding feast is in heaven.

NONSENSE.

It’s clearly and obviously UNBIBLICAL on the face of it in a number of points.

Does this pass the “no personal attack” test? If not, please chide others here as I have been chided, :)

YES, HIS Church, His Body of Believers, His Children who are expecting Him will be taken up to be with Him during the Tribulation when His Wrath is poured out on the world. For those who didn’t want HIS love, will have a hate filled world, those who didn’t want Truth, will live with Lies/deception.

The Bridegroom comes for His Bride to take us to His Father’s House - just as He promised. As a Jewish wedding lasted for seven days, our wedding feast will last for seven years.

What a blessing it is to KNOW Him personally because of what Our Savior did at The Cross. What a blessing it is to know HIS TRUTH. And all His promises are YES and AMEN.
