Well known and admired 108 year old Rabbi reveals the Messiah's name!
“’Apparently, more than you.’”
“And you cry about people “smearing” you?”
It’s not a smear to state the obvious.
Thank you for your considerate reply. Yes, we can discuss it further, though I am not sure that tomorrow will work. We’ll see. I’ll check when and if I can. The family seems to expect me to be around and pay attention on holidays. Imagine that. Good night to you then.
Yes there was. His name was Nero. Read Foxes Book of Martyrs. Again, the word world means something different today than it did in Jesus time. Back then, it meant Roman Empire.
The Bible makes it quite clear that no man will be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast, either on their right hand or on their head. That means EVERY person would have said mark. Nero failed to do that.
Nero also failed to stand in the Temple and declare himself God.
These 2 points alone destroy the Nero theory.
DO you have a problem with Mountains???? Hmmmm??? ;)
I think they will keep Sharon on life support indefinately....an announcement of death would send all kinds of signals in the ME.
Glad to see Moody is on top of this as is Dr. Jeremiah and others. Yet Christ said this would come...much of this Mysticism is based on the sensual...appeals to the touchey feely generations or those prone to "if it feels good do it" mentality. Amazingly those who are seeking God or that of knowing Him better fall into this trap...and it is a dangerous trap indeed!
As you said it is rooted in Hinduism....but remember that is the agenda of the Hindu Guru's who professed that they would "color" Hinduism to suit the mindset of people in America in order to bring Hinduism here in a "New Light" which would be acceptable to Christians as well. Already many churches have 'Yoga' and though they say they aren't practicing Hinduism...this was one of the agendas to get Hinduism into the American mindset....
Recent photo Of Michelle Oboma shows her practicing this with hands praying just as the Gurus teach...so it is in the whitehouse as well.
When our nation decided to turn it's back on Christianity this has left the doors wide open for all the third world religions to come here....and thrive! Expect much more of it...including the push from Islam.
This is all part of the great deception God said would come....and if people are not grounded in God's word they will fall for it....many have already you would not imagine possible.
No: the decree went forth throughout the entire ROMAN EMPIRE because THAT'S WHAT CAESAR CONTROLLED!
That's what "oikoumene" means in Luke 2. It means the same thing in Matthew 24: the ROMAN EMPIRE: that's what "all the world" meant to the people living in Jesus' time!
Once you begin to understand that, the rest of the truth will begin to fall into place for you.
The same word is used in Acts 17:31, Romans 10:18, Hebrews 1:6, Hebrews 2:5, Revelation 3:10, Revelation 12:9, Revelation 16:14.
It would be a stretch in the least to read this word in these contexts and then to think that it meant the Roman empire.

You have that right...good comments Quix...but I do think we are going to see allot more of these as the time draws near. So much is invading our country now...people forget that when other nations come in droves they also bring their religion. Florida is having a time with the Haitians practicing Voo-Doo as well....it is going to get worse. Especially with so many who have no familiarity with God's word...they are ripe for deception.
Spot on insights
Also to keep in mind is the 'New Age" or today's "Spiritualism's'...which is very loosely knit organization so to speak..is fast moving throughout our nation all bound together by a common vision of a coming new age of global enlightenment...the "all is one" movement...who believe in transformation of our planet.
Many are anti-nuclear activists, ecology oriented (save the planet) who are of course behind the "green movement" worldwide. Their ideas that a united global community will stand against materialism. Most reject Christianity and are getting their message across loud and clear!
...and I believe satan is the master of this game we see playing out thru them as their political clout now has weight in our Capital...they are seated in power. EPA comes to mind.
“It would be a stretch in the least to read this word in these contexts and then to think that it meant the Roman empire.”
Why? The proper way to interpret scripture is to take a given meaning and apply it in all instances where that word appears unless the context provides the proper meaning.
In other words, assume it means “Roman Empire” unless the context clearly shows it to mean something else! You’re starting with the premise it means something else than what it meant to the writers of the New Testament! That’s NOT the proper way to interpret scripture!
You all want “world” to mean what it means to us today, when I’ve already shown you two instances where it doesn’t mean that at all!
“Nero also failed to stand in the Temple and declare himself God.
These 2 points alone destroy the Nero theory.”
I never wrote Nero was the anti-Christ. But again, show me in any of the gospels where the word “anti-Christ” is mentioned. Prove it.
You are all so confused about this, you don’t even know that the term “anti-Christ” doesn’t even refer to a particular man, but a spirit that was in the world in John’s day!
Get it? Anyone who denies that Christ has come “in the flesh” is “anti-Christ!”
So again, show me where this individual is ever spoken of in ANY of the gospels!
And you are whom that I should care what you think???
I may get to those irrational, UNBiblical assertions tomorrow. I have a number of other priorities. No promises.
WELL PUT. LOL.
LOL, you make it sound like the world has never seen this before. The first century church grew within the trade routes of the world, where people of all nations and cultures would come trade their wares. It was common for the cities to encourage their business by constructing religious buildings and statues in the fashion of their visitors. Even Paul, when strolling through the Agora observed that every god was worshipped, and just in case they missed one there was the temple for the "Unknown God" (Acts 17:23).
We are no where even close to those times. Please remember, history didn't begin the day you were born.
I’m puzzled as to what you’re trying to say in that post.
How many tracks are you trying to jump in one post?
