The interpretive conflict regarding homosexuality and the Bible is a relatively recent phenomenon, between two fundamentally different positions and interpretive foundations. Historical/traditional scholarship evidences that the Bible contains laws which prohibit homosex (same gender sexual relations; also referred to as homoeroticism or homogenital relations), and which are as universal and immutable as laws against illicit heterosexual partners are shown to be (or even more so), as belonging in the same class. In addition, the necessary positive sanction of marriage, which is provided explicitly for opposite gender sexual unions, is nowhere established for homosexual unions.
Pro-homosex polemicists have responded to this problem by asserting all the injunctions against homosex are culture or contextually bound or for other reasons cannot not universally apply today, and or that the Bible is not wholly inspired of God and provides no transcendent universal sexual ethic. In addition, advocates of homosexual relations often propose or assert that homoeroticism and even same-sex marriage can be seen in many close relationships between persons in the Bible.

"Christian" denominations who say they find it acceptable behavior have chosen mans teaching over God's teaching...they dont know God, but are religious. Paul said.. "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
One deals with motive, the other the manner. While motive factors into the morality of some acts (like killing), the Bible forbids the heterosexual relations outside of marriage, regardless of motive, or the state that it flows from, and forbids incests in any case, as it does for homoeroticism. Such things are wrong regardless of motive or inner “orientation”, and cannot be does not justified by such, whereas things like Biblical religious rituals, or prayer, or sex in a marriage are wrong if the motive is.
So true, but not here:

It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved
Sickening.
Yes, heterosex outside marriage is sin, as is homosex, though the former is due to violation of the type of condition instituted for sexual union by the Creator, that being marriage, while homosex and bestiality are violations of the very manner of union.
The “what of “what therefore God hath joined is male and female,
(Mat 19:4-5) “And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, {5} And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?”
As re idolatry, that is the mother of all sins, and thus is the first of the commandments of God.
Homosexual is rebellion toward what God has ordained (and is usually concomitant with prevalent rebellion in sex and other areas, which foretells the demise of a nation), the prohibition of which, as with all laws, works for our good, and is therefore a manifestation of idolatry, as to whatever has your ultimate allegiance, or affection or trust, is your god, at least at that time. As this is the case, all knowing, willful sin is idolatry, and even in ignorance it is contrary to worship of God in truth.
While even Christians are guilty of idolatry at times, including sadly me (do i always love god more than food, etc.?), which we must repent for, an idolater is one who overall lives for false gods.
In addition to formal false gods, man lives for pleasure, possessions and power/prestige, (1Jn. 2:16) which are false gods which will fails us, but the living and true God is both eternal and almighty, and willing to save that which is lost. To God be the glory, through Jesus Christ.
The above quote from the White House speaks volumes regarding the lack of comprehension of Obama in a number of areas.
1st, authority is not virtuous. A person who associates virtue with authority is confusing two concepts. Virtue is righteousness and the quality of moral excellence associated with righteousness. For those who have studied Scripture, it is evident that all virtue is only given by God to those in fellowship with Him. Virtue from any other source is a form of moral degeneracy further removing the person from God.
Virtue is therefore also associated with strength in character. The phrase, "through the force of", or "by authority of", is frequently associated with the phrase, "by virtue of" associating the Latin root, 'vir' or 'man' with strength and power with respect to character. (It is somewhat ironic for the President to appeal to characteristics of manliness, to celebrate bisexuality and effeminate behavior.) A woman's virtue, etymologically, is associated with her virginity prior to marriage.
Secondly, the President calls for the people of the United States to turn back discrimination and prejudice everywhere it exists. People in government discriminate every day. The duty of the Legislative Branch is to discriminate between right and wrong and to legislate codes of discrimination between what is criminal and legitimate behavior in every law enacted by Congress. The Executive Branch of government is to discriminate daily in executing the laws of Congress, abiding and complying with that direction, discriminating between legitimate and illegitimate behavior. The Judicial Branch discriminates between legitimate and illegitimate behavior and discriminates between the authority vested in each Branch of government.
In regards to prejudice, our entire respect for Common Law is based upon prejudicial decisions, thereby eliminating a litany of repetitive legal effort by previous decision. When God Himself has declared such activity to be illicit, there is no need to declare God's Law illegal and celebrate sexual rebellion.
From this edict, the President Obama communicates he seeks to elevate his thinking above that of God, base his morality upon his power, demand others welcome anarchy by rejecting any discriminating thought, and retain his power independent of righteousness and void in faith in Christ.
Thanks for that. I don’t go on the Whitehouse.gov any more, because people are supposedly tracked.

And don’t forget that the Bible also forbids masturbation—any sex other than that within marriage is a perversion.
The issue I have with eroticism, whether it be hetero or homo, is that it is subjective—whereas actions are definitive.
(pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro Islamic magazine) Newsweek editor Evan Thomas, referring to his perception of the President after his recent speeches overseas, stated
“I mean, in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above the world. He’s sort of God.” http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/26445/
(Acts 12:21-23) “And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. {22} And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. {23} And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”
