Time to call out the Big Guns.
Some of you have heard thru FReepmail that a week and a half ago a mass was found during a routine chest X-Ray. 2 days later they did a CT Scan. Yesterday I had a Biopsy done. I just got off the phone with my Doctor.
I have cancer.
Specifically, Adenocarcinoma. More tests need to be done to determine the stage and if it is just the one tumor or if it has spread.
Please include me in your Prayers that this can be treated.The most powerful weapon I can employ in this fight is Prayer.
With apologies to Will, I think this is but a little din, which shall not daunt your ears.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ll pray for you as God is a God of miracles.
I do have a suggestion for you, though, to maybe help. Have you tried using Transfer Factor? It helps your immunity. Both humans and animals can take it. I bring that up because my cat was diagnosed with kidney failure, and after watching my dog die from it just a couple years before, I decided to not listen to the vet and try something different. Following a natural high protein diet (the opposite of what the vet wanted) and taking Transfer Factor along with Bentonite clay daily has lowered her numbers. The vet was surprised.
I, like you, have lost a lot of trust in doctors because I have health issues, so I understand completely. There are a lot of positive testimonials for it, and while I wouldn’t recommend you cease all your other treatments and just do this, it may help your immune system and aid the other treatments in helping.
I am hoping for your recovery.

Glad to hear you are continuing to fight. Nowadays, they say the standard is to keep the tumors in check with chemo.
BTW, many people claim to have had a good outcome at Cancer Treatment Center in Zion, IL. I’ve never been there... just passing along what I’ve heard.
When I had my first go with cancer in ‘09, I contacted Cancer Treatment Center in Zion, IL. for a 2nd opinion. They did not want to even see me at all because I had Humana Insurance. Apparently, if you don’t have a favored Insurance that they can milk for top dollar, they don’t want to touch you.
I would not go to Cancer Treatment Center in Zion, IL. even if they were the only cancer center in the damn country.

When I called the local CTCA for my father six years ago, they said on the phone there was nothing they could do.
I’d heard better things about the one in Zion... but I guess it’s the same.

It’s been awhile my friend. You’ve been in my thoughts and prayers.
I’m tired.
The third chemo was Carboplatin, Aloxi, and Avastin. They had to stop after 5 cycles because it became too toxic.
My last scan was again mixed results. The 6 tumors in the abdomen are gone. No trace of ‘em left. However the 4 in my chest have grown, and there is a new tumor in my left lung now. Current thinking is the chest tumors are a second type of cancer.
Chemo #4 started 3 weeks ago with Taxotere, Kytril, Neulasta, and Dexamethasone. The side effects of this stuff are beyond nasty. I came this ===><=== close to being put in the Hospital from the side effects the first week. Tomorrow I start cycle #2. At least I have the 4 additional meds to cover the side effects on hand.
