Update from Pam’s husband:
Thank you all for your prayers!
Today was doctor day. At 9:00 AM we saw the cardiologist. He decided since their instrument read 130 she should increase the blood pressure medicine, which should lower her blood pressure to between 100 and 110. We take her blood pressure every day at home and if you do it like the instructions say, at least 4 readings and divide by the number of readings we get between 100 and 115. Of course I’ve never been known to argue with a PHD so I’ll let it ride for a couple of days until I collect more data. Pam said on the way home, just what I need, more pills. At 11:00 AM we went to her PCP. Now I like her, she is really concerned about her patients, and you can tell it. She looked her over real good and even spotted a stitch on her neck that they missed at the hospital. Looked like a freckle to me. At 3:00 PM we went to the surgeon who in reality saved her life. He sat there and explained to her just exactly what she was up against. What they had to do, why they had to do it. Her feet have been swelling ever since she’s been home. He explained why and told her how he was going to help her reduce the swelling and do something to start rejuvenating her partially collapsed lung. He ordered another X-ray and said he will take care of it one way or the other. Pam can’t sleep in our bed because as soon as she lays down she can’t breath so we’re sleeping or trying to sleep in the recliners. We’re not getting much tho. Dr. Davis also said that he’s had experience with Marfans patients. He’s a premed grad from Rice, and played quarterback some where in the 90’s so I guess he’s no dummy. Still need your prayers.
PRAYERS UP.
God be with each of you.
Still lifting up to His care.
Thanks for the update!
