Can God create another God?

I have been told, here at FR, that God only creates lesser beings.

Is this because he chooses not to create someone equal to Himself, or is God unable to create someone equal to Himself?

One of my favorite cartoons was a weather forcaster giving his weather predictions and God was depicted above him, roaring with laughter.

I'm still trying to figure out something else. I just called my sister and she informed me that she has 4 brothers & 2 sisters. Count as I might, I have only 3 brothers but also 3 sisters!

I told her that the temperature here was 0 degrees Farenheit, she told me that it was twice that cold where she is, since twice zero is still zero, how can that be?

That isn't the Christian view, and if that is what your church teaches, it is not Christian.

Actually that is more akin to LDS ideas. Trinitarian belief still holds only one God, not a committee. The three “persons” are essences of that one single all powerful being. The exact nature of this is part of the greater mysteries of the Father.
