I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
Psalm 69:30, 31
Thank You, Sir, for President Bush. We have felt safe since 9/11 because of the strength and commitment You gave him to keep us protected physically and through his prayers. We know he has Your ear, and this has been a comfort to us, especially as we have prayed for him. He is only a man, so our trust continues to remain in You alone.
Keep him and his family safe physically, emotionally and spiritually. We ask You to send him whatever facts he needs in order to make wise decisions. Order the steps of this good man, Father. Continue to give him the rest he needs in these next two months to finish the assignment You have given him and to make preparations for Your next assignment. We know Your grace will be sufficient for him.
We ask Your blessing on the troops who protect us. Cause them to be a success and keep them from harm. Comfort the hurting, heal the sick, give deliverance to the addicted, and reward each one for his service to us. May each member of his or her family be totally supportive and patient both in his absence and when he returns.
This is the day that the Lord has made. We rejoice and are glad in it.
We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer (1 Peter 4:7)
Prayers for President Bush and his family on this beautiful Thanksgiving Day.
Thanks be to You, Lord
For all you’ve given
The blessings you’ve provided
and our sins forgiven
We praise Your name
in all we do
Your faithful hand
to keep us true
You calm us, Lord
in times of strife
Then promise us
everlasting life
To sing Your Songs
to hear Your voice
Uplifted souls
in eternal rejoice
We call on You
each and every day
To talk with You
Whene’er we pray
But, You’re always here
within my heart
I thank You, knowing
You’ll ne’er depart
A glorious Thanksgiving to all saints, our President Bush and his family, our warriors wherever they might be. Be of good cheer, knowing God is always with you.
Psalm 100 is one of the great songs of thanksgiving in the Bible. It calls us to realize that we belong to God our Maker (vv.3-4), and to praise Him for His goodness, mercy, and truth (v.5).
During a recent reading, however, I was struck by a phrase that speaks of expressing thanks in a tangible, willing way: Serve the Lord with gladness (v.2). Many times my service to God is more grudging than glad. I do what I consider my duty, but Im not happy about it.
Oswald Chambers put his finger on my unthankful attitude when he said: The will of God is the gladdest, brightest, most bountiful thing possible to conceive, and yet some of us talk of the will of God with a terrific sighOh well, I suppose it is the will of God, as if His will were the most calamitous thing that could befall us. . . . We become spiritual whiners and talk pathetically about suffering the will of the Lord. Where is the majestic vitality and might of the Son of God about that!
True thankfulness is more than being grateful for what we possess. Its an attitude that permeates our relationship with the Lord so that we may serve Him with gladness and joy.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful Thanksgiving poem. Yes, Lord. You are so good to us.
Thank you so much for joining us. God pour His blessings on you.
Thank you, and to you as well.
Amen, Hiskid!!

Wont you praise Him, too?
'You have Done So Much for me, O Lord.
No Wonder I am Glad!
I Sing for Joy.' (Ps.92:4)
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle
Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
Thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits
who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen

May God Bless and heal Mrs.Barbara Bush!
Amen, and Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Thank you for blessing us with your poem, wizr. It’s perfect for the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!
I join in prayer for President Bush, the Administration and our heroes standing in harm’s way!
Please be with the President and His family as they transition out of the White House. And be with the cabinet also..give them peace and strength.
Father, it is painful to go through this transition when it is so obvious that the new President is so inexperienced. Father, watch over our country I pray and keep us safe.
Lastly, Lord may Your Spirit come and may Your will be done on this earth according to all we have done..but I ask for Your mercy in it please. In Jesus name.
