Again, you cannot expalin several things.
I beg to differ...You need to be patient...there are several people posting long posts to me and I can't read every line. Although I try.
How can there be any inspired men of God from the time of your alleged "loss" of the word in this world until Joseph Smith (and from his time until now among non Mormon's).
Answer:
1. God raises up righteous men for His purposes.
2. The Spirit God works to influence people for good regardless of their current state.
There is a piece of this puzzle you are missing and we haven't discussed yet. The great apostasy wasn't just about losing the doctrines. It was also about losing the Authority of God. This is the most important part of the Church Of Christ.
The apostles had this authority given to them physically by Jesus laying His hands on them and giving them the Priesthood.
The Catholics claim to have it from an unbroken line from Peter. Which they don't.
The protestants claim it by...osmosis or something. Because they certainly can't claim it was passed down from the Catholic church.
Your own words betray your position. The Word of God has lived with Men from the beginning of time, DEPITE the ills of the mortal world. Your own President praises men who should never have heard the Word of God because it was gone from this world until the prophet restored it.
There's a lot more to the gospel than just hearing about Jesus. And that's where I think we are not connecting. If I'm right, you're assuming that by the "Word of God" just refers to someone preaching about God..correct?
Where as my meaning is that Amos refers to the complete gospel; the priesthood of God; the Church Organization; the true doctrines;...all of it. Amos is saying that the fullness of the gospel won't be on the earth.
But that doesn't mean there wouldn't be good people who would come and go.
Paul's letters were sent to correct mistakes in doctrine that were being practiced by the various parts of the Church. A real prophet will do exactly the same thing.
Infant baptism is an invention of the catholic church and is an abomination in the eyes of God. It's total heresy. That will be the first thing that a real prophet is going to tell you...so how many "christians" would follow this real prophet? And how many would stone him?
1830 was the earliest that the true gospel could actually be taught in the world and have it survive and only in this country. It wasn't too long before this that several people were hung in new england for preaching against infant baptism.
My wife's ancestor was the Bishop at Hans Mill and was gun down in his field by a mob lead by a protestant minister for being a Latter-day Saint.

A virtual smorgasbord of contradiction and assumption, I know not where to begin.
Since I am time limited I shall just snack.
Ok, you say that 1830 was the earliest the "true gospel" could be taught in this world, and America the only place. (wonderful arrogant presumption BTW) Then why did the Gospel occur in 33 AD or there about, and why in Israel. Does God do things just for the hell of it. You endlessly quote Amos and say the Gospel was here then lost. If we were not ready until 1830 here in the USA, why was it presented 2000 years earlier in Israel/Palestine to begin with? That makes no sense, unless of course you believe in an error prone God.
If the world was made up entirely of apostates from either 33 AD or 400 AD until 1830, then why would God raise anyone up at all, they all were denying his word, seems strange he would waste time trying to reach those not listening in the first place. How could they receive his spirit if they were not listening to the “truth” as only Joseph Smith knew it.
There is more, so much more, but like I said, I am time limited tonight.
