Some Mormon women dance...
Some Mormon women write scary stories...
Some Mormon women have a lot of money and really great hair...
I know hundreds of Mormon women. They do all kinds of different things and live all different kinds of lives.
This woman served as a leader in the Mormon church. She recently spoke to teenage girls worldwide. She encouraged them to stand up to peer pressure, strengthen their families and serve others. (Click here for more.)
None of the Mormon women I know look like this...
None of them are marrying off their teenage daughters and-- although some may joke about wanting a sister-wife (preferably one who is really fat & ugly, does bathrooms and changes diapers)--none of them really want to share their husband with anyone.
Some Mormon guys yell at the ball...
Some Mormon guys make scary movies...
Some Mormon guys have a lot of money and really great hair...
I know hundreds of Mormon guys. They do all kinds of different things and live all kinds of different lives.
This is one of the leaders of the Mormon church. Last Sunday he spoke about honoring women, especially mothers, and gave advice to husbands and children about how to treat the women in their lives. (For the whole story, click here.)
None of the Mormon men I know look like this...
The Mormon men I know are honest and hard-working. They don't cheat, smoke, drink or gamble. And TRUST ME....the last thing any of them want is another wife.
That one is a little unfair. There are few Mormon criminals and Mormons are the nicest people you’ll meet. They are also well known for their patriotism and honesty. Early on, Las Vegas casinos hired Mormons to handle their money because of that reputation for honesty.
Nor do modern day Mormons practice or approve polygamy.
But the fact remains that the founder, “prophet”, and author of the Book of Mormon had 33 wives, including a 14 year old.
Prove that specious accusation, Mormon. Do you think you're helping the image of Mormons by lying so blatantly? You post a thread trying to associate the human goodness of some Mormons with you and your lying apologists. You are the disgrace, not these good people you've posted trying to have some of their goodness rub off. Disgusting apologetics for the heretical religion founded by a lying, adulterous peepstone divination false prophet ...
It looks like you too have fallen for the PR hype that surrounds Mormonism.
How do you account for Utah having the highest rate in the nation for white collar crime and fraud?. How do you account for the fact that Utah has one of the lowest rates of U.S. military enlistments?
Highest rate of depression - Utah?
Suicide - Utah?
Mormons are just people. They are just like any other people. They TRY to be better, but they fail, just like you and I.
I agree, every group has its bad apples and Mormons tend to be upstanding folks. Unfortunately, Mormonism itself is founded on the lies of one such bad apple: Joseph Smith.
stinkerpot,
I am in the financial services industry and almost every single
get rich quick scheme I’ve seen in 20+ years comes from
Utah. Just keeping the traditions of Joseph Smith, who was
a treasure hunter, scam guy, and according to his mom, “would
tell the most fanciful stories”.
They do spend millions every year on PR though and many people
buy into the message. But it is what they don’t tell you
that you should pay attention to.
ampu
CC, can I get an amen...?
That is a propaganda lie foisted on the general public. I PERSONALLY have known mormons who were drunks, liars, swindlers, shop-lifters, check forgers, pyramid scammers, wife-beaters, adulterers, and pedophiles.
FC, there is something new on that criminal case in Vegas, is there not? Mormon involvement there, along with the criminal actions of Harry Reid belie your claim and illustrate the "stink".
A-MEN!!!
Smith coerced his 14 year old ‘wife’ by telling her that she could be responsible for her entire family getting into heaven by becoming Smith’s wife. Such a ‘christian’ man don’tchaknow.
Forgot to ping you to 86
Mormons are some of the finest confidence men I have ever known. And their obfuscation in conceptual selling is unparalleled in the annals of great salesmen. I should know as I made it a point to hire as many of their best and brightest to sell for me. Seems all the really good ones led two lives.
Just like me.
The column on the left is made up of
characters from the "Anthon transcript,
The column on the right contains
Tironian notes, the Latin shorthand
upon which early modern shorthand
was based.
Show a glitzy rendition of everything “good” in Mormonism, and don't tell any of the “bad” stuff.
If someone brings up the “bad” stuff, call them haters, bigots, and anti-mormons. Nothing, nothing (especially truth) must get in the way of propaganda!
Mormonism's motto might as well be "All your base are belong to us!"
I learned a long time ago that Mormons and anti-Mormons are arguing just for the sake of arguing.
LOL!
Institutional "lyin' for the Lord" along with bred-to-the-bone "we are victims" lead to the kind of mind-set that led to this thread.
What I notice about seven's post is the COMPLETE LACK of scientists, poets, humanitarians, etc. I don't even see any reknowned authors of classics.
Where are the great thinkers? Who in the great Tabernacle Choir has gone on to operatic excellence? I've heard some good music by mormon composers, but where are the NON-LDS compositions being heard by the world? You'd expect a picture of a mormon Mozart, a mormon Pavarotti.
This list does nothing but emphasize the cultural emptiness produced by mormonism...the Osmonds!
The Flds are the ones who actually FOLLOW what D&C #132 says!
Ronald Reagan said, "I didn't leave the Democratic party; it left me."
He enraged a LOT of loving, truthful families by lusting after their daughters and wives.
He was LUCKY to have died quickly.
How could you fault a religion that produced you and I, Utah Binger, P-marlowe, degaston, and SENTINEL?
And THIS:

There you go again: trying to tell us what we believe.
Why don't you wimpy SLCLDSer's just GO away and let us worship GOD the way we want?
