Childish behavior |

They're called the "Lost Boys," the teenagers kicked out of their homes and communities by leaders of the polygamist Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to ensure there's an ample supply of single, young women who will one day become plural wives. Representative Lorie Fowlke (R-Orem), is running a bill to make this abandonment a felony.
"Estimates are that we've had more than 1,000 children - primarily in southern Utah - thrown out of their homes," Fowlke says. "What we were trying to do with this bill is criminalize this behavior and send a message to this community that they can't just throw away their children."
H.B. 23 adds child abandonment to the definition of child abuse, and makes it a felony crime. It also adds an enhancement if a parent or organization benefits from the child's abandonment to further an illegal enterprise, such as polygamy. This is the case with the FLDS church, says Roger Hoole, a lawyer who represents some of the displaced young men and sits on the board for the Utah Association for Justice. He says the church benefits from kicking out young men who would compete for plural wives. This, he says, has devastating consequences.
"There's a huge impact that's coming, like a tsunami, that's going to hit the state of Utah, when these boys get a little older and realize what has happened to them and get angry," Hoole says. "There's a real problem here."
Fowlke's bill gained unanimous support in a Senate committee this morning, and now heads to the full Senate for consideration.
Jesus said unto (Resty),
“Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” Matthew 22: 29, 30
So Resty said back to Jesus..
“It all depends who (You were) talking and what part of the scriptures they held on too both the Pharisees and the Sadducee were divided on what parts of the scriptures they would embraced.”
Both groups understood what Jesus said..
“None of them were ready to receive knowledge about the Celestial Kingdom.”
Resty, these were knowledgeable men with more scripture and learning about the Torah, the Pentetach, the prophecies of all the major prophets, (Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel etc) and the minor prophets (Hosea, Amos etc) than Joseph Smith had ever dreamed of... If THEY werent “ready to receive knowledge about the (so-called) Celestial Kingdom.” then Joseph Smith was light years away from EVER being ready...
“They were candidates for Terrestrial or Terrestrial kingdom.”
Well I’m sure that Jesus is glad to find out that He himself does not qualify for anything more than a “Terrestrial or Terrestrial kingdom.” because Jesus had the same Yeshiva education that the the Pharisees and the Sadducee did....
And whereever Jesus is I’m going to be...
Dancing and singing and worshipping the Lamb of God, before the Throne of God...

My faith in Christ is also unwavering. Nothing you nor those on these threads can do will change that. A witness by the voice of the spirit testifying of the truth of His words is of far greater value than all the sermons (or threads) in the world.
Cheers.
Yes, and?
I would be interested in how you justify Smith’s adultery, taking other men’s wives for his own consorts. And don’t try that silly argumewnt that he didn’t have sex with these wives of other men while they were still married to other men. How is it that God contradicts Himself in your religion yet He is not contradictory? Is your idea of God so plastic that you would denigrate His Holiness to accomodate your prophet?
That was unkind of you to turn my words on me Tennessee Nana, if something is unclear ask me!
To accuse me of telling Jesus when I am showing how Jesus was responding to those who did not embrace Jesus as their authority and was trying to entrap Jesus.
Actually, that might be an interesting search.
Come on, you ought to know better than to try and play such a fake trump ... show me where God gave wives to one of His while the husbands of those wives were still married to these women. You tried that with Saul and I showed you your error. Want to try it again knowing it is false?
I asked you about adultery, seven, not polygamy. Taking women to be his wives who are still married to living husbands is adultery. Your effort to defelct this into the satrwman lie of Mormonism that it is nothing but ‘sactioned polygamy’ is why Conservative Christians reject the cutl of Mormonism.
And the Pilgrims and Puritans were much different than the Congregationalist Christians (from which that denomination is founded), are today, but they still believe in the same God now as they did then. It is the people who allow themselves to grow in their belief and understanding that bring about positive, more godly, changes. I earlier posted on another thread that it is not God who has the problems caused by sin (willful disobedience, rebelliousness, deceitfulness, etc.), but “man.”
The Joseph / married wives thing I have never argued against. There still is much we don’t know. Frankly, it’s not an issue with me. I accept him as a prophet of the Lord, and will not waver in the faith that was given me from the Holy Ghost.
When all one does is search for ammunition against someone, you will be successful. On the other hand, if you would search his works and writing and yes, even his live and interaction with others and look at the amazing among of good he did for mankind, they you would surprise yourself.
But it all pales in comparison to a personal witness from the Holy Ghost. Without that, everything else is just a waste of time.
One must also notice that gates only prevail against something that is already inside of them; they cannot prevail against something that is external to those gates. Was Christ saying that His Church was already inside the gates of hell, and needed to come out?

Jesus left His Church will Hell inside it ???
No, Jesus did not...
When Jesus was those 3 days in Hell, He marched up to Lucifer/Satan and said Give me those there keys, and the devil trembled and said right smartly YES SIR, and handed them over...
Hell had no dominion over the church...
The enemy, Hell was trying to get INTO the Church, but NEVER did...
So when Joseph Smith was writing his fairy tales there was no need to “restore” the Church..because the Gates of Hell had NEVER prevailed...
Jesus said so and I believe Jesus, the Righteous over the evil sinner Joseph Smith every time...
Joseph Smith might be the “messiah” of the mormons but he’s not mine...
Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior
Bet FastCoyote was not aware of what Martin Luther said!

I’m being as kind as I know how to be...
In telling you the truth, I’m being the best friend you have in these threads...
No, I ask Jesus every time...
You dont know what Jesus knows...
And Jesus is not confused....
It was clear to me that you were not bothering to find out what Jesus has to sayh about Heavenly things...
Jesus said the words to you...
Take it up with Him...
To accuse me of telling Jesus when I am showing how Jesus was responding to those who did not embrace Jesus as their authority and was trying to entrap Jesus.

No you were repeating a “doctrine” of lustfulled pedophiles
And I just told you what Jesus had to say about Heaven...
take it or leave it...
Jesus said it...
If the words of Jesus do not sit well with Joseph smith, I would not worry...
Joseph Smith is dwad...and gone to his “reward”
He wont be complaining...
I’d worry about what Jesus has to say...
Jesus is alive..
And is Lord and the Righteous Judge...
When I stated I had asked God, received the answer that the Book of Mormon is NOT true, I was, on this forum, called a liar and a failure by a mormon, for not "asking correctly". Impasse? I would say so!
But... We don't believe in the same Christ.
