Here are the some of the results of a 1999 Gallup poll on creationism, evolution, and public education :
49% believe that human beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life.
Evolution theory is the most important weapon to twist people's minds.
For 99% of the people the most important REAL reason for believing in it : a trick that costed a few bucks, 100 years ago.
Even more incredible : the trick has remained the same until now.
Only lately, with very fast computers that allow virtual reality software to perform convincing enough, have we seen some effects added to the base trick.
I wonder who is the first Freeper to find out the trick behind the most devastating lie in the history of mankind.

I'm interested. Is it high and dry? That's the only kind of swampland I'd buy over the internet.

You sound very gullible i have some swamp land in Florida... you interested? I have some news about that swamp land. A couple decades ago someone invented the retention pond -- saves the hassle and expense of draining wetlands. All those swamplands are now cities and subdivisions.

yeah, you outdated darwinites probably haven't kept up with land values since the invention of air conditioning, let alone 'real' science since the electron microscope!

Do you really believe living under a theocracy is a free society?***
Never said it was... A free society thrives best in a free republic with a moral foundation. IMHO.
Theocracy is not necessarily a bad word. It depends who uses/misuses the concept. Many tyrants have (mis)used religion to accomplish command and control goals.
Personally, I'd like to see men in places of power who actually have given serious thought as to what is right and what is wrong.
I have thought about this a little.

Theocracy is not necessarily a bad word. There are no bad words. But there are bad things. Theocracy is one of them.

Maybe they haven't had the right people running it yet(see: Ed Asner). I can't remember the last time the right people ran anything.

(Do our fears define us and who are these "right people" anyway?)
To: martian_22
I can't remember the last time the right people ran anything. The right people will never be in charge. The Framers of the Constitution knew that. Which is precisely why they tried to limit the government's powers and snarl it up with checks and balances. And they definitely outlawed theocracy.

I can't imagine where the Founders ever legislated that. If I'm not mistaken, the 1st Amendment forbids the fedgov to legislate or otherwise restrict any man/god relationship or social structures.
I don't believe the people who are at war with the god idea got their inspiration from the Founding Fathers...
Actually, if one believes in a god we already live in a theocracy bound by natural and unseen law. We have free will to do as we please and be responsible for the consequences. That's an ideal theocracy for my imagination. It also sounds a little like anarchy.

Ignoring the bottom (though it is funny), is this the cheap trick you're talking about?

you seem like your mind's made up...I won't confuse you with any facts

Evolution, yes, but not primarily by natural selection. I am sure of something akin to the old vitalism idea....So where does the information come from? For something to "evolve" into something greater, doesn't information have to be added?

Lose the n-word, Dr. Warmoose. It's uncalled for.

Actually you fanatic christian young earthers are the bigots. Always have been always will be. You can't get you heads out of that book long enough to realize most of it is allegorical at best. You want to see hate look in the mirror. YOu people spew hate all over this forum and its about time people stood up to you ignorant luddites.
The funny thing about that sentence I wrote is it didn't say ignorant blacks most blacks have more sense than take a book like that literally. I like to call a spade a spade and a fool a fool.
The reason this nation is a cesspool is because you backward, unscientific, liars have chased the very scientific and intellectual elites away from the republican party and they are now either nonpolitical or vote for the democrats. Go sit in a corner and believe what ever silly mythology that your heart desires, just shut up about it and quite making all conservatives look like fools.

If believing some fool that thinks there are some spiritual/supernatural forces that guide the expression of traits in animal and human population is a fact give me fantasy any day. Your fact was old when aristotle was a boy and it wasn't any more of a fact then.
